I watched the trailer and immediately thought that the movie went from comic book movie to Oscar contending film. Phoenix seems to be going all out to elevate the film/

I've watched 100's of these reaction to Joker videos & the singular reaction word across the board is "WOW".... And yes! This movie is wow & beyond! Epic, stunning, brilliant, disturbing yet beautiful, relevant, amazing, completely will go down in cinema history as one of the best films ever made. But that's just my opinion 😁💛
I think it can depend but because of the rise of such icons as Marvel making movies the term..."Comic Book Movie" is somehow synonymous with "Action packed, humorous, and sometimes dramatic, Blockbuster films involving super heroes.
Can't say this often but that movie exceeded my expectations and that was hard after this amazing trailer that I've watched about 1k times (no joke) and to me that's awesome

The thing about Joker is, DC never gave him a solid backstory. They always said it was scarier if he had no origin. But I personally think, like what story would ever turn someone into the Joker? THIS ONE. This story feels legit as hell.
When I first watched it. It was after I got off work around 6pm and I was drinking some tea. I clicked play and when it ended my back was sweatin profusely and my eyes were watery lol I was just lost for words that I had to calp my brother and cousins and tell them to watch it
