Yup, his mother is clearly unable to take care of herself, most likely to due even more debilitating mental illness than what he starts out with in the movie. I knew there would eventually be some people not getting the hint and falsely thinking it was "why is he bathing his mother? so weird/creepy" as if it was some sexual thing, when it's not, lol.

In the last episode she wipes his arse, then gives him a bath. He was singing a song to himself so she says "How can you remember all that, but can't remember my name?" which to her surprise he replies twice "Priscilla." She had to leave him in the bath while she answered the door, so she made him hold onto the sides and told him to not let go, to which he replied "Yes Sir!" I love old dementia patients. They're funnier than American comedians. Then again everyone is funnier than American comedians.

And I enjoy most superhero films for being entertaining spectacle films, I don't really find them to be offensive, but it's not a genre that's for everyone.
Generally kids will take care of their parents who can longer care for themselves which includes giving them baths. I imagine he didn't want to put his mom into a care home. It shows that he had a heart, as most kids would just leave their elderly parents to rot in a home.

Why is it weird that he was giving his mother a bath? She obviously had some illness that she couldn't do it for herself. That happens, sometimes adult children have to take care their parents when they get ill. There is nothing out of the ordinary about that. JMO

Shows how his mentality not fitting into society ends in madness, and him lashing out against those who don’t understand his pain.
It's not like Batman just hunts him down to beat him up.. He's stopping him from committing widespread attrocities. Doesn't matter how mental someone is if they're a danger to people around them they need to be stopped.
