Maybe dh released a new album I don't know but the stuff from 5+ years ago is definitely entirely different.
Stanne's clean is so soothing. I really dig when he sings in DT as well. And the melody in this chorus is pure gold. It resonates with me on every level. Thanks for this.
The Stanne is one of the best vocalists in Metal, The Halo Effect or Dark Tranquillity he never fails to deliver!

His voice is really soft, but also absolutely incredible, like the voice of death.
As much as I love the previous singles, this track blows them all away. Mikael's cleans bring out an emotion and sadness that the track demands and the music...enough said. This album is one of the highlights of the year. Melodeath at its best!!🤘🤘🤘
I think The Gateway and Truth are even better, but he definitely under-utilizes his cleans as usual :(

@@deadalonethe1 c’mon man, that’s some disrespect to Anders. Mikael was with In Flames for about one year and they released one album with him verses 12 albums and nearly twenty years with Anders. Also I think Mikael was a studio musician, essentially a fill in, because In Flames didn’t have a vocalist yet, the original bassist Larsson was technically the first vocalist.

I saw the whole album live in Madrid a month ago and it was again a masterpiece. What a superband! And also credits to Mikael for those mesmerizing clean vocals!!
I can't really say I have been a follower of Swedish metal but finding this been has been awesome. They have put out some damn good stuff.
Be it Dark Tranquility or The Halo Effect Mikael is my favorite vocalist when it comes to melodic death metal.
Try Grand Cadaver, Mikael's death metal band. Killer album too.

This song is absurd man, what is this sick fucking riff? That combination of 90s, 00s gotenberg sounds + these clean vocals from Stanne, it fits so well. Then back to his sick growls, it's just so fucking perfect. This band is what peak gotenberg melodeath is, it's so pure

Have you heard Amorphis? Some of the best growls in the business right now, and his cleans are perfect as well.

So far, The Halo Effect hasn't really convinced me. But this song is really special. Stanne's voice in particular is awesome!

Oh, man... Watched the whole The Halo Effect show live on the Wacken site a week ago and I should say I haven't been so hyped for an album for such a long time now! This year I watched Dark Tranquillity live and I should say Mikael Stanne is a fu@in beast of a vocal. I'm so glad that these amazing misicians are together again in a band! Great song! Great Band! If you watch the video closely as I’m sure a lot of people have you can see how jasper is hardly moving his hand up and down the fretboard ☹️ I hope he gets better soon, this band has so much respect already it would be a shame to let it all go down the pisser.
I think they filmed this in January, on a rooftop in Sweden. I know Jesper's going through some health issues, but I don't think that's affecting his guitar playing here as much as his hands being frozen.
