- We are running a tournament using some modern 'sports cars' that you could in theory use as a daily car on Forza Horizon 5, but with an interesting new format.

Its pretty fun format. But really need to do it on places with not traffic.

Enjoyed it good! Next time, what you need to do is get a selection of cars, and then draw lots to see which vehicle you get.

@@longbowxmkii I know, it's just a suggestion. But it would be funny to see a Russian Roulette moment of racing, and seeing Alex getting the worst car of the lot. XD
The Supra uses the 'official' hp numbers so its wayy slower than it should have been, oh well still fun!
What do you mean by official hp numbers making it slower? Do they lie about the power in real life?
@Maurice Barry yep, because BMW doesn't like cars from other manufacturers using one of their engines and being faster than one of their own cars :p
Toyota claims the Supra makes 382hp, and Car and Driver measured one at 388hp. Any links showing a stock Supra making more than that?
Actually that's about as false as it can get, multiple magazines have tested the Z4 M40i against the Supra and it lost every time both on the quarter and 0-60 tests, and with the latest software update with the GR it didn't just lose its popping from the exhaust on the upshift it's in fact even slower than the car before the update, Toyota nerfing it themselves. But when it comes to bang for your buck the Supra is worth it at the Price, considering the RRP is only slightly more than a Golf 8 R and the 2.0l is even cheaper so yeah there's that. Why drive a golf when you can have a Supra for the same price. But if you need more power just go for their big brother with the S58, the M2, then you'll be sitting with 453hp.

Very similar to this, with duels, but instead of the winner keep racing everyone, the winner goes to the back of the line to meet the winner of the next 1v1, then you keep going like that with loser being eliminated and winner moving to the back ready for next duel until only 2 people remain and winner of that wins it all.
I like this format! Love to see more of it!

A top-heavy SUV can beat a higher PI sports car on a twisty circuit tells me the PI system needs a major overhaul in the next game.
This was extremely entertaining to watch it reminded me of NFS carbon in a way. And I really like this style of show down.

Also, maybe you could impliment a risk/reward shortcut with the cement tube along the quarry road: you can take the shortcut but you have to go through the narrow circle.

it's always nice to see you experimenting with new formats. Perhaps next time flip the order around so that the highest PI cars go first? then they would have to try and hold on over many races. It made sense in my head at least.
Problem is that by the end its just going to be very easy for the high-PI car
@@AlexeyBeganov true, if they can last that long. My thought was that since they have to face higher-PI cars first, they have more chances to make a mistake.
Basically, they have to be on top of their game for longer, while the lower PI cars only need to be on top for one or two races.

This was a really cool idea, really good bit of balancing between picking a car you think is sufficient and then driving it to its full potential.
Reminds me a lot of your old Motorsport Videos with the High vs Low PI Cars with a Reverse Grid. I remember quite a few of the lowest PI Cars would win that since they were able to make an escape while the faster cars were stuck in traffic, that's not a factor here though so there's more weight on your car choice and driving.
I'd love to see you do more with this format and see what other types of cars you can make work, depending on the Category there could be some big upsets from the underdogs especially with older cars.
That final race was manic but damn did the TT and RS6 scythe through the field.
Especially well done to Liam, Ollie (Olly?) and Gliscor in this one. Ollie in particular really pushed that DBX hard but got knocked out by such an unlucky mistake.
I'm also really liking how much use you're making of the Rally Adventure map, it's probably my 2nd favourite Horizon DLC in terms of Road and Environment variety (just behind Fortune Island).
It doesn't show in the video but there was a bit of desync between me and Dangerman at the end of the run which served me out wide :(
otherwise the DBX could maybe have beaten the TT as well but it would have been tight regardless haha

You did extremely well nonetheless and it was really cool to see the DBX thrown around, I've been meaning to build one for Road Racing just for fun for ages now and you've given me the push to finish it so thank you :D
@@kspectre21 hahaha no problem!! it's honestly quite good to drive, it suits my driving style really well. It definitely struggles for mid corner grip but it's a very effective machine if you take a slow in, fast out approach :)
@@p1eased0nteatme Yea it's a really satisfying vehicle to drive, it gets the Valhalla engine swap which is unique although I've now kept mine purist for the time being.
I'm also surprised at how well the stock suspension holds up, it's a lot more firm than I initially expected when seeing that Race Suspension costs 6 PI. Not sure if it's worth it though considering that's an extra 50 or so HP left on the table and it's not really going to turn it into a handling weapon.
@@kspectre21 I honestly never bother with race suspension in this game 😅 I usually go sport or off road, depending on PI

Its a pretty good god and entertaining format, but that fun when traffic is what wins a race or not, like with the Cupra getting all out of shape, and of course dangerman's 2nd race completely ruined.
can you do a race with everyone having the loudest car they can make, with restrictions of your choosing

The EA825 DAZA is one of the best engines in production right now (and maybe ever). Audi may not know how to make a chassis or a steering rack but damn do they know how to make a perfect fifth root note.
