- We have unusual race restrictions for this race, as cars can not have their tyre width upgraded, which throws up some interesting cars and builds. Like a super fast Peugeot 205 and my 'handling' Corvette.

205 was built for one thing and one thing only. And it did it perfectly. Also stock tire width was 165. And it had 670 hp to the front wheels

How bad was the on-power understeer? I bet it was just horrendous
@@zerabidotter1755 let's just say I've spent the entire 5 races in the highest gear that usually tops out at 210 and still had issues

I knew my Porsche would be good on the dirt because it's been in a video before, but I didn't think it would be so dominant. I thought at least the pro truck would give me some grief, but no.
But then all of the wonky weight distribution, very soft suspension, offroad race tyres and not that much power made it suck a bit on the tarmac. Overall, pretty good though, and very fun to drive offroad.

Congratulations to all the racers. As ever, I have the scores. The rules are the same. Every racer scores points, with an extra point given for each fastest lap a racer puts up. If you disconnect, you get no points, because there's no fair way to determine how you would have placed had you not disconnected, and if you are disconnected at the start of a race, obviously there's no way to predict. This time there were only 11 competitors, and two of them disconnected in the 4th race.
Alex was right. If this was a Championship, he would have won. His car was an example of perfect consistency, coming in second in every single race. He made the best all-around car for racing. He comes out with 100 points, notably without any fastest laps to his name. Leopard of Fire, who had two wins and two fastest laps, was let down by the slightly weaker showings on the tarmac races, coming in 2nd with 92. From there it was a gap back to REGENWORM in 3rd who also won no races, had no fastest lap, but was fairly consistent with 62 points. SpoonRacing1119 set a fastest lap and won one race, but wound up 4th. 5th through 7th was polarbear690, datrusskiy, D4nnTheMann in that order with 52, 51, and 50 points. Eighth wasn't far back going to GreasyBoi58 with 48 points. KnackJack came in 9th with 33 points, and HordSS (10th with 24 points) and Rarecliscor (11th with 19 points) were let down by the disconnects.
Once again, congratulations. Notable occurrences this time out. The gap between 4th and 8th was just 6 points. The fastest lap was set by the race winner every time. Alex coming in second was the highest placed consistent outcome we've seen. 5 2nd places is not easy to achieve. Polarbear690 came in last (11th) in the 2nd race, and won the 3rd race, then last (9th) in the 4th race. Obviously a car built more for tarmac, but interesting tidbits of results.
That last race battle over 1st was fantastic. Must admit I was rooting for russkiy because I wanted Alex to win the championship without winning a single race.

Yeah I wanted to put my ford GT on rally tyres. But I didn't have enough PI for that. I was 4th fastest round estadio but was punted into a building on the first lap

the reason certain cars refuse to turn on the banked corners is because of centre of gravity, something with a high centre of gravity requires more force (grip) to move the car around the corner on the same line as something with a low centre of gravity. basically the centrifugal force pushes the centre of gravity further up the turn which is why in those turns your car has its suspension compressed on one side much more than the other, the more g's the more difficult it will be to turn because of that outwards force.
great racing. would have been fast at Estadio if I didn't find a house on the first lap. The ford was fast but if I overdrove it slightly I would be in trouble.
A very 2nd place vehicle. Came dangerously close to getting first on that final race, but fate had other ideas
When I first read the title I thought you had to choose to upgrade Only power or only handling.
Pick your car and then you get to pick either only power upgrades or anything but power upgrades.

The nissan was on rallys instead of offroad race so in tarmac tracks its was great but was terrible on dirt.
The final race i had a controller disconnect so didnt get a good start at all
I love the 205 R, my go-to car in both B and A Class rally. Sorry, Alex, I was rooting for the Peugeot.
If you get 2nd every time but 1st place changes between races, you almost certainly win on points.

Those animal-named gamers really gave me ideas for this intro. On a side note, Alex really struggled with the jump on the dirt track; surprised he kept it under control on the landing.
love that. and no surprise the polar bear weighs more than the leopard. I think my ford was the second-heaviest car actually.
Alex absolutely nailed building a good car everywhere, it was just never the best anywhere.

Loved the video, but always have that glimmer of hope to see a Ninetales appear in an absolute beast in these formats.
Ninetails should be given special privilege to use all the broken cars
IIRC Ninetales wasn't a fan of FH5 and either doesn't own it or doesn't race in it. I could be wrong, I could be misremembering it. I've enjoyed seeing him in the livestreams in the other games.

At some point I thought to myself: "surely, this is gonna be the win for the corvette. suuurely it won't get beaten by the 205, of all cars" aaand then Ruskiy decided to become a driving god XD

Race idea : makeshift team racing Forza horizon 5
Teams of 3
Choose 3 different manufacturers and 3 different classes of cars. Between you and your two teammates you have to use one of each car manufacturer and one of each class of car, but this way different teams mix and match manufacturers and car class differently.
All happens in one race so it's actually 3 races in one

I have a question. Help request actually.
I'm starting to get intermediate in tuning, getting to feel and understand all the tune bits, such as damping and springs, body roll etc.. What i want help with is this:
I'm trying to tune my corvette (2009) without forza wing, for S1 class. And i managed to do it perfectly for AWD on normal and twisty tracks (no lift off oversteer, or excessive skidding), but a HUGE problem arose - i have VERY bad turning ability at high speeds.
The car simply refuses to turn when over 200kph.. Looks as my front side is stuck on going forward only, lol.. I've tried ARB's / springs / dampings.. but i cant seem to get which setting will ease it off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, failrace, if you shift right before your odometer gets in the red, you'll have better acceleration and better speed. Please try this it will help you a lot.
Only true on engines with peak torque in mid to low rpm like a Subaru boxer for example acceleration is best when shifting around 5.5k rpm
@Jayquickscope it works with all if you tune the engine, and it works on stock vettes
@Chris Long no it doesnt. his corvette is engine swapped. on most engines, shifting past redline is the fastest. on a few subarus, i4 turbo rally, and f450 engine (like jay mentioned), peak power is low in the rev range, making it better to shift earlier.
@Romie 777 yes that may be true in some cases but when it comes to racing you need to shift before the redline or you will be out accelerated and be left behind
@@Rouge261 i rev the hell out of most engines nearly all the time and thats never happened to me once
what actually makes you get out-accelerated is not using manual w/ clutch because of slower shift times (not saying use clutch upgrade)
