Hellmuth is such a fish in these cash games. His whiney speech on the turn made Ivey know his AJ two pair was the best hand, so he could make a bigger bet on the river and get called, maybe look bluffy.
Why is it hellmuth is better in tournaments? What is the difference?
@@acehigh6971 In tournament play, you can apply pressure on a player because they have no option to add more chips if they make a bad call. The strategies in cash and tournament are entirely different.
Brians answer was good but there,s another reason thats kinda connected to what he said, in tourneys phil plays tight and will make incredible laydowns, he even makes outrageous laydowns in cash games, ive only been playing a short while and am enthralled with the game, so far my philosophy is " the key to poker is aggression, the secret to poker is folding" . Plus in cash phils talk gives away his strength something wicked!

I like Phil Hellmuth, but for his own best interest, he should stay away from cash games and probably should have done so since the mid 90's.
