Sadowsky Onboard Bass Preamp Explained

Roger Sadowsky explains the 2-band Sadowsky Onboard Bass Preamp.
The preamp is available in the Sadowsky online store (and in our Reverb store) as a drop-in, pre-wired unit mounted on a jazz bass plate both with the input jack on the plate and for basses with a side jack. The preamp can be installed with the included control plate or transferred to other plate or pickguard.
We also sell the preamp as a kit for more wiring flexibility and mounting options.

Cool vid. Might be cool to hear from different users' experiences about how they blend the VTC with the 2-band EQ! I've heard many people boost the treble to the max and then back the treble off using the VTC, which seems to produce an illusion of a mid boost?

WIthout the VTC, is the tone always all the way to 100%? How do I control the tone?

It is as if your tone control was left at 10. That is essentially "flat" as all a passive tone does is roll of highs.
