A small to medium size apple farmer in my area has recently been forced outta business due to the tariffs. He was forced to sell and sold it to a developer. Next the new owners cut down all the Apple trees and are planing on putting apartments and condos. There use to be tons of birds, flowers, bee's but now just dirt and bulldozers. It's so sad what we are leaving to the next generation behind us as we kick this environmental can down the road.

Like so many Americans Trump has little understanding of Chinese business and trading skills. As one who has experienced first hand and lives with Chinese business practices daily, I believe the USA is in for a rough time over the next few years. Trade war will be a disaster for many.

These trade war does not only hurt farmers. It also hurts UPS and Fed Ex. America Farmers uses companies like UPS and Fed ex to ship their goods. If other countries especially China, refuser to buy from America it hurts these shipping companies. These companies are beginning to cut hours and job positions.

The more the US ban certain products going into China (I bet the ban list is a pretty long one), the more the Chinese are motivated to research to producing those 'ban' products...! Simple example: when US suddenly ban Intel exporting certain CPUs into China for their SuperComputer project, Intel lose that segment in China's market forever.. because the Chinese made those CPUs themselves for own use..!! And potentially exporting those supercomputer in future.. And that's another future competition too ! Conclusion: keep your friends close, but keep your competitors EVEN closer.. !!

Anyone who has seen the chaos video of the first Costco opening in China will realize that so many many US products are craved by the Chinese. I.E. Personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, cosmetics, home appliances, Fords, Apples, pork, soy bean, fruits, corn, etc. Take a tube of Crest for eample, it was $4 in China, now after 25% tariff, it's $5 per tube. The extra $1 went to Chinese Tax Collector, while Crest manufacture in US did not benefit. Vise versa for the Chinese manufactures, the 25% tariff went to US Treasury and paid by the US consumers. I guess the tariff war with China is a dirty trick played by Trump and Xi, both governments got 25% more tax paid by their own citizens when buying everyday needs. Yeah we the consumers are making both governments rich.

A small to medium size apple farmer in my area has recently been forced outta business due to the tariffs. He was forced to sell and sold it to a developer. Next the new owners cut down all the Apple trees and are planing on putting apartments and condos. There use to be tons of birds, flowers, bee's but now just dirt and bulldozers. It's so sad what we are leaving to the next generation behind us as we kick this environmental can down the road.

Like so many Americans Trump has little understanding of Chinese business and trading skills. As one who has experienced first hand and lives with Chinese business practices daily, I believe the USA is in for a rough time over the next few years. Trade war will be a disaster for many.

These trade war does not only hurt farmers. It also hurts UPS and Fed Ex. America Farmers uses companies like UPS and Fed ex to ship their goods. If other countries especially China, refuser to buy from America it hurts these shipping companies. These companies are beginning to cut hours and job positions.
Except crop failures are through the roof this year. So it's ok for farms this year.

Econ101... US simply need to export more varieties of its products to China to close the trade gap, and it can be done! And not simply pick and choose and demand China to buy more of their (US) wanted exports.. (this extort the basic of economics of supply and demand).
Apple, GM, FORD can make it and thrive very well in China, so can the rest of corporate America..
Looking at an interesting trend... The more the US ban certain products going into China (I bet the ban list is a pretty long one), the more the Chinese are motivated to research to producing those 'ban' products...! Simple example: when US suddenly ban Intel exporting certain CPUs into China for their SuperComputer project, Intel lose that segment in China's market forever.. because the Chinese made those CPUs themselves for own use..!! And potentially exporting those supercomputer in future.. And that's another future competition too !

Anyone who has seen the chaos video of the first Costco opening in China will realize that so many many US products are craved by the Chinese. I.E. Personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, cosmetics, home appliances, Fords, Apples, pork, soy bean, fruits, corn, etc. Take a tube of Crest for eample, it was $4 in China, now after 25% tariff, it's $5 per tube. The extra $1 went to Chinese Tax Collector, while Crest manufacture in US did not benefit. Vise versa for the Chinese manufactures, the 25% tariff went to US Treasury and paid by the US consumers.
I guess the tariff war with China is a dirty trick played by Trump and Xi, both governments got 25% more tax paid by their own citizens when buying everyday needs. Yeah we the consumers are making both governments rich.
