  • A 40 minute edit of the new Benge album "Zerotheque Tome Two - A Distant Hum" - a study in spacey synth ambience with very floaty video made in the Memetune Video Lab
Sit back, relax, and get lost in Space-1979™
There are vintage and modern synths used on this album: Sequential T8, Behringer Pro 800, R.A.Moog Modular 3C, Behringer Kobol Expander, Roland JV880, Korg DW6000 and Korg Wavestate. The FX used were: Lexicon Model 200, Model 300 and PCM81, the incredible Kawai RV4 (look it up!), and Bel BD80S (donated to me by the inimitable John Foxx - what a legend)
Support Memetune and Benge by heading over to the bendcamp page and downloading the album - zackdagoba.ban...
    (or search Benge Bandcamp Zerotheque)
    Thanks!

    Memesmerizing!
Its almost comical how many subs Benge has because this is the best channel of its kind by far, all produced by the guy with probably the best collection who can at the same time put it to the best use.
    Pure Mojo
    Take note Dorks!

Superb video work, even better music. Am I right to detect some TD Monolight influences (in a very positive way) in the second section named Nothingness ? Thanks you for another sonic treasure.

Yes, there might be some Berlin-School flavours in there - and some Blade Runner too 😁

Really beautiful. I just love how your sound design reveals the character of each synth line. You contribute a great deal to my life long love of electronic music. Thanks Benge.

Thanks for this, Benge! Heading over to Bandcamp right after projecting this onto the wall and cranking up the Neumanns. Inspired art, as always. 🙏🏻

Thanks Benge. The video aesthetic is very cool. So very different and frankly more ambient than the AI driven imagery that has been turning up in my feed lately.

Ha! Yes theres a lot of AI seeping into everything these days. Not round here though! 😂

Lovely Stuff... And pleased to see a shout-out to the Kawai RV-4 in the description ! (I've got one too 🙂) Maybe on Series 3 of the Memetune Programme you could do a regular section on 'Little Black Rackmount FX'...? (hint hint)

Fantastic upload thanks Benj your whole aesthetic is refreshingly familiar
How could I get a hold of these meme tune annuals I hear rumours of? I would love to secure one
I am so happy youtube suggested you I remember some future music videos with you in always was mind blown by your studio and you used to be literally down the road. Now your in Cornwall nice one my folks retired to Cornwall twenty years ago to Bude its lovely down there I was looking to move there myself would you recommend it? I’m in my fifties now and London is just not the same place anymore it seems culturally bereft IMO
Keep on keeping on and thanks for your contributions 👍

Very nice Mr. Edwards! I'll be having this one.
Great performance at the International Drone Day gig by the way! I'm so glad I went. I managed to pick up a copy of the Memetune Annual too. I missed out getting one from Bandcamp so I'm well chuffed! I did want to say hi, but you were busy talking to other people after the performance. Doubt you'll remember me, but I was the old fogey in a Coastal Electronauts tee-shirt with the walking stick, shuffling past you coming down from the back row whilst you were sitting chatting towards the top of the auditorium.
Pete mentioned to me you hailed from the Debden area - did you ever go to Epping Forest College? I worked there in the early noughties.
Thanks for sharing more of your Great Work with us.
    Cheers ✌️

Hi David - Yes I think I saw you at the gig. Glad you enjoyed it - its the first time I've done a solo gig in many years
Yes I was born and bred in Loughton - and I went to college in Debden - I did the 1 year art foundation there - but it would have been around 86 I guess - oddly at the exact same time that Peter Coyte was there! (but he did the 2 year course) - do you remember Paul Berry? (head of art when I was there)
By the way, theres a new Annual coming very soon - its just at the printers now 😁

@@memetunestudio Peter mentioned you were both at college at the same time. Can't remember Paul Berry, he was probably there before my time, sadly.

Lovely track, very atmospheric and beautifully crafted. I too was at the International Drone Day event in Canterbury and I enjoyed it enormously, I hope you'll play locally on many more ocassions!
