- A ship tour of Carnival Pride.
Carnival Pride is one of three Spirit-class ships built by Carnival Cruise Line. It was launched in 2002 and weighs just over 80,000 gross registered tons.
The chapel and the library were removed, and the Warehouse Arcade was installed. During the dry dock, some slight modifications were made to the kid's programming. Also, public areas received touch-ups.
Carnival Pride received the initial Fun Ship 2.0 changes in 2014, including Guy's Burger Joint, Bonsai Sushi, BlueIguana Cantina, RedFrog Pub, RedFrog Rum Bar, and the BlueIguana Tequila Bar.

She is beautiful great ship, can I ask you something is true or only a rumour that Carnival Magic is going to have San Juan Puerto Rico as homeport in 2021 ?
Back in 2015 my husband and I had an amazing adventure on this ship. It was simply wonderful. I can't wait to start cruising again

Thank you so much for this wonderful tour. The Pride is my favorite ship. I’ve sailed her 6 times and hope to get another 1 or 2 cruises in before she leaves Baltimore. I love that it never feels crowed and the guests are really some of the friendliest people. The staff is phenomenal and the CD Rev Dr E was great in November. The service in David’s Steak House is impeccable as is the food. It was great seeing the Pride all dressed up for Christmas. Carnival truly is the ‘fun’ ship! Thanks again for sharing!!

My wife and I have cruised on the Pride 35 days so far. We have 2 more cruises for 2021. The spirit class is our favorite class. We have been on 10 other Carnival ships and they have things that the Pride does not, but overall the Pride is the best!
I remember the last time I was on the ship, I was 11 running around with my family! I haven't been there since, but I remember being more excited about being on the ship than being at the Carribean beaches haha. I'd love to go again.

My wife and I have sailed on the Pride twice. One 7 and one 14 day cruise. We really enjoy the ship and the water slide is great. It is a very well laid out ship and we plan on going on the pride again. We have gone on 15 Carnival cruises on various ships.

My fiancee and myself have been on the pride a few times. We love it. Last time we went was February 2019 and they had the retractable dome closed the whole cruise. Being from Syracuse New York area, it is easily accessible by car. It is roughly a 6 hour drive. We do plan on returning in the future. As for our next booked cruise, we are venturing outside our bubble, and flying down to Florida and boarding the Magic at the end of this year.

I believe the itinerary for the Magic is Miami, Grand Cayman, Mahogany Bay, Belize, Cozumel, and back to Miami. Looking forward to try something different. We do enjoy the itinerary on the Pride as well.

I cruise on the Pride in November. This is the best tour. I love that this is a small ship with so many pools, one dining room and I really enjoy the old theatre with couch style seating and a table ( Horizon has no place for your drinks. You are very good at this, I’ll look for more tours. I go on the RC Brilliance next year for 21 days. I’ll look and see if your toured that one. If not…🤷♀️
I haven’t made it to Brilliance yet. I do them all myself so give me time. Haha!

The Magic definitely has more open space. Benefit of Pride is fewer people.

She’s my ship. The only ship I’ve cruised on so far so I feel a ‘connection’ with her, as silly as that sounds. Every night after my son and wife would go to bed I would just go and roam around the ship. I’d walk from stem to stern on all the public decks. I just love her. I’ll be disappointed when she leaves for Tampa. (It’s silly they took out the chapel.)
I loved the Chapel and the Sunset Garden. Both are quiet and peaceful areas to hang out in. I'll be sailing on the Pride again in April to Bermuda. So sorry to hear they got rid of the Chapel.

we enjoyed our Pride Cruise back in March of 2019. our very first cruise and want to go again. the staff was so friendly and kind to help us navigate inside. we did about everything but the nightclub which was closed.

@@CruiseRadio yes we did a few shore excursions like Atlantis water park, the aquarium there. On princess day we pet stingrays but didn't plan enough time slot for the dunes buggies and missed it, they refunded our money though.
Freeport grand Bahamas we got a tour of a brewery and the island. A Great tour guide was named "Tiny" he was awesome.

best ship ever, love the Pride, have been on her several times... Booked for Sept 2021 fingers crossed it will be a go. This will be our last time since she is going to Tampa. If you get a chance dont be fooled by her smaller size. I know she is not flashy like some of the big ships but you will be pleasantly surprised how comfortable she is. One thing not mentioned was the staff, some of the best in the industry,,,
Yes I totally agree on the staff. Was on the Pride in June of 2016. This video brings back very fond memories of a wonderful week of relaxation. Took the behind the scenes tour. Well worth it. Got to meet the captain and spend time on the bridge. IMHO the Pride is a class act and the people working on her on behalf of Carnival are totally dedicated to making the passengers have a superb week . It seems it is much more then a job to them. How appropriate this ship is called the " Pride "

I went on the cruise on October 13 for a week in 2019 and it was the best I had so much fun and the staff was so nice and the other passengers were also nice I made friends and saw people know from 4 years ago it was really fun I would recommend go in Carnival Pride you will have a blast

My very first cruise with Carnival was in 2017 was on this ship..out of Baltimore. The Pride was awesome!! I highly recommend it. Cruised on The Dream out of New Orleans in 2018 and The Conquest in 2019... Looking into the Mardi Gras, the big boy, for this year!!

Love the Pride. My kids, not so much. They like the ships that have the larger Water Works area. Was hoping when it went into Dry Dock for some renovations, that they would make the Water Works area larger. Oh well. We'll be on it in Dec. of 2021.

I sailed on the Pride in 2018 enroute to Bermuda - your video encouraged fond memories
I reserved again in August 2020 same ship/destination (canceled due to pandemic) because of my fondness of the ship, especially the superbly ornate Sunset Gardens Promenade which has a novel wind around the ship's bow
I liked this area of the ship so much that I committed daily strolls here, read books, snacked and even napped here
Do you know of any other Carnival ship with a similar Sunset Garden Promenade feature - I'd love to know. Thanks in advance.
My other favorite areas were the thermal room (reward after gym workout) and the Blue Iguana
We are going at the end of February. I expect the first couple of days to be chilly as well as the last day. Is the "indoor" pool heated? We have an 8-year-old. Just trying to manage her expectations. Thanks for the incredible video tour! We can't wait!

Awsome video doug I'll be on the pride in the end of june this year it will be my 4th cruise on the pride. When you mentioned guys burgers i could already taste them lol. I heard a rumor that carnival switched to pepsi products or is switching to pepsi products is this true and what changes have they done so far

My husband and I have been on the Pride twice, and hope our cruise December 13 will not be canceled. We like the Pride because it is smaller and only a 50 minute drive from our house. You didn't show one of my favorite things on the ship, and that is the mermaid statues on the ceiling where the booths are in the buffet. I think they are beautiful and special.

@@CruiseRadio It's just a week to the Bahamas. I really like to cruise for at least 12 days (we are old and retired--the only good part of getting old!) because it takes me a while to get into the swing of things, and then I could just stay on the ship forever!

Cruise Radio when I was on it i was 11 and spent most of my time in the kids area. But other than that I liked the pool area (same with all of the other ships)
Wow. Me too! I was 11 the ladt time I was there with my family, and now that I'm almost 18, I'd love to go again.
I love Carnival's Spirit-class ships. We'll be losing Spirit here in Sydney in place of Splendor which has the main dining room kitchen blocking off access. Spirit, Legend, etc. have uninterrupted access to the main dining rooms on both decks 3 and 2.

@@CruiseRadio Only Legend and Spirit. I prefer Legend as it was the first cruise ship I was ever on. But I love the Spirit-class layout in general, especially the Serenity area. I've yet to get aboard Splendor since that's now home-ported here in Australia. I also appreciate Joe Farcus' design and bought his book only recently, Design on the High Seas, after listening to one of your podcasts where he was interviewed. I have a real appreciation of what he achieved in his designs.
9:56 one night on my first cruise, which was on this ship (the week of October 23-30 back in 2014) I literally had no idea what the "concept/idea" was of the "Circle C" but I had my bluetooth speaker on me and my phone and I sat my speaker on the ground and played some music and literally just danced inside the Circle C as it was closed. Idk why I did.
