Do you know the exact IC DFRobot used in that C1001 Board? also plastic and wood do have an effect on the range of detection. somewhere in the document of Hilink mmWave modules I read that there's a specific way to calculate on how to place the cover over the sensor to minimize the effect
it's not available on the product page. but you can access the raw data, if you go to its library folder and open the cpp and h files, from there you do it.
Think about the myriad of uses aswell the portability of such an device?.. then you can see the significance of its real world uses and applications..Cost effective mobile and portable an game changer indeed as this incredible but tiny device is undoubtedly set to make an tremendous impression and this throughout the industrial world..😂
