I feel you. When I was 11 and in ballet and started getting underarm hair, I wore a giant baggy t-shirt over my leotard, but of course it wasn't allowed so eventually I had to learn to shave. It was so awful, feeling ashamed for it. (Side note: this was when pads were huge and made loud crinkling noises, and at 11 figuring out tampons for ballet class was also a challenge.)

I'm an athlete, so I can relate to that. You always have to be hairless for competitions. However, my parents have always been very loving and supportive. They never judged me or asked me to do something because it isn't socially accepted. Therefore, when puberty hit me, they didn't tell me to shave my armpits. Since I didn't know at first, that it's not normal, I just went to the gymnastics class with my very dark and strong armpit hair. Over the time, I started to realize that everyone was looking at me all the time, in a very weird way. No one said anything but I quickly understood it was because I had hair and they didn't. One day, I was right next to an older girl (18/19 perhaps) during the warm-up. She turned her head, saw my armpits and said 'Oh my God'. She didn't say it THAT loudly, so Idk if she wanted me to hear it or not. After that, I went to my mom and asked her to teach me how to shave. She did and helped me with it until I could do it on my own. I then bought a suit with long sleeves for gymnastics. That's it. I'm still embarassed when I think back of all thr weird looks others gave me even though I know body hair is normal. This is our society.
Honestly, this is what we need. A place for girls to talk about these things without the fear of being judged or ridiculed. And also, finding out that what we thought was weird, is actually normal.

To be honest... I don’t shave down there... it’s just so itchy when it grows back and doesn’t look good at all. I have a lot and very dark hair and sometimes I cut it so that it’s not too long. I only shave there in summer so that you can’t see it under a bikini. If I get a boyfriend one time and he doesn’t like it... then he simply didn’t deserve me. Body hair is something natural and you guys shouldn’t think too much about it.

alma zahar I usually shave it once a week with a man razor and some shaving cream (or conditioner when I don’t have shaving cream) and it works well for me.

The coconut one is so ironic because I put coconut oil on my eyelashes and eyebrows and it helps them grow immensely but I am for sure going to try using the coconut oil hack!😂
I think coconut oil helps the hairs going back be more soft and nice, rather than the ones that grow right after shaving. So softer growing hairs will lead to less darker spot!
I guess the reason is that you leave the coconut oil in your eyelashes for a while (I leave it on during night) while the coconut oil is only in your armpits for a short period of time. I guess it is more for the skin rather than hair.

Muteeba Pandit if you want your eyelashes to grow it is not necessary for you to leave it over night, you can just remove your eye makeup with the coconut oil and wipe off the excess of oil with baby wipes, and your lashes will grow like crazy! Trust me

maya maya what I’ve heard is that laser hair removal makes the hair so thin to the point that you don’t need to shave, but the hair will still be there
If you do sugaring it lasts quite a while because the hair is pulled in the opposite direction from the waxing. I like getting a wax but sugaring is really awesome. Problem: you have to wait for it to grow out to a length that is long enough to be gripped by the wax or sugar. So, you have to be hairy until it gets to the length it needs to be. And, that could take quite a few weeks to get to that length. That's the positive of shaving is that you can shave even when stubble is barely coming out.

I had laser hair removed, pretty much full body, including the "private areas". Best decision even. Because I'm Latin, my hair is so so strong and my body pores so tight, I had to stop waxing as it was so painful i couldn't handle it anymore. I loved this video.

Once I dry shaved my armpits two minutes before I went on as Alice because they changed my costume from a three quarter length sleeve to a cap sleeve. (My regular costume ripped while I was doing my hair)

I’m doing a laser treatment too! I had my 9th session yesterday! It takes really long tho. I started in January of last year so.. 😂 But I can’t wait for it to be gone 🙌🏼

Since I turned Non Binary, I stopped being insecure abt my body hair a bit bc when I was a girl and I had leg hair and I would go outside, ppl would look at me and assume that i was a girl that didn’t want to look nice and so. Now I dress more masculine (most of the time) and going outside with shorts and hair on my legs and shirts and hair on my arms isn’t that much of a problem anymore:) but now with covid 19 everybody stay all day inside their houses SOOOO, they problem aint that big anymore. Anyways, obviously i still have to go through girls’ puberty and go through what other girls have to go through which is pretty sad ;-; I’m still pretty insecure with my body, and this video rlly helped- at least for the future when i’m actually allowed to buy things like wax strips and razor tingies to get rid of my body-hair. One more useless thing to say from me: my mum used to say that I got my body hair bc i didn’t eat well enough and that I had an unbalanced diet. Idk if that’s true or not but she never told me about puberty and so until the age of 10/11. Anyways idk if you’re still reading but if you are, I want you guys to know that you are beautiful the way u guys r and its entirely ur choices if u want to get rid of body hair and do things like that. Ruby yes. When I choose to dress feminine i do get insecure abt my body hair bc im thinking : “Should I wear this dress? No, it shows off my leg hair. What about this sleeveless shirt? No, it shows off my arm hair.” And when I go out dressed in a feminine way, ppl stare at me and i see kids from school and they look at me in a way as if i don’t take care of myself. But the moment i cut my hair short, wear “boys’ “ shorts that arent considered “feminine” and a sleeveless shirt it suddenly becomes acceptable. It’s normal to have body hair. And just bc lets say a female doesnt get rid of that body hair it means that they dont take care of themselves, that they dont give a damn abt what ppl think and that they want to “stand out”. This is why im uncomfortable showing off my body. Plus I’m overweight, and some ppl still judge me for that. I remember once i was 10 yrs old, i was walking in town with my mum and i had a dress on and short socks so it showed my leg & leg hair. And the skirt was sleeveless so it also showed my arms. I remember i saw some girls who used to go to my primary school but started to go to highschool/secondary school, and were what everybody would expect in girls: skinny, tall/ medium height, beautiful, yea yea all of that. They stared at my legs and arms and laughed at me. They also stared at my stomach, since the dress was tight. Since then i’ve been insecure abt my body. Even at school when i wore shorts for P.E boys and other girls laughed at me. But ever since i became non binary and I started to dress more masculine, it has suddenly became ok for me. I hate most of society and thats why i hate to socialize with new ppl and thats why i would rather stay inside. Most of society is rude and judgmental. I think coconut oil helps the hairs going back be more soft and nice, rather than the ones that grow right after shaving. So softer growing hairs will lead to less darker spot!
I guess the reason is that you leave the coconut oil in your eyelashes for a while (I leave it on during night) while the coconut oil is only in your armpits for a short period of time. I guess it is more for the skin rather than hair.

Muteeba Pandit if you want your eyelashes to grow it is not necessary for you to leave it over night, you can just remove your eye makeup with the coconut oil and wipe off the excess of oil with baby wipes, and your lashes will grow like crazy! Trust me

If you do sugaring it lasts quite a while because the hair is pulled in the opposite direction from the waxing. I like getting a wax but sugaring is really awesome. Problem: you have to wait for it to grow out to a length that is long enough to be gripped by the wax or sugar. So, you have to be hairy until it gets to the length it needs to be. And, that could take quite a few weeks to get to that length. That's the positive of shaving is that you can shave even when stubble is barely coming out.

I had laser hair removed, pretty much full body, including the "private areas". Best decision even. Because I'm Latin, my hair is so so strong and my body pores so tight, I had to stop waxing as it was so painful i couldn't handle it anymore.

I didn't know this for yeras bc my mom is wayy too overcontrolling. I missed my whoel years not knowing this :(. But now atleast I am removing hair. I almost removed my face hair by destroying the hairs.
A little tip, head hairs get split ends & all the way up can cause the hair to fal out/stop growing. I'm gong to make a video for this. But lets just say I used oil then heat on the face hairs. I also put hand saniizter on the tips of my hair that stands up(not the skin) for a few hours. I did the same with toothpaste. Now I scrub that hair., unitl it starts breaking offf

another tip for shaving the bikini line is to put witch hazel on a cotton pad and use it on any places you get razor burn and it works like a charm!

Since I turned Non Binary, I stopped being insecure abt my body hair a bit bc when I was a girl and I had leg hair and I would go outside, ppl would look at me and assume that i was a girl that didn’t want to look nice and so. Now I dress more masculine (most of the time) and going outside with shorts and hair on my legs and shirts and hair on my arms isn’t that much of a problem anymore:) but now with covid 19 everybody stay all day inside their houses SOOOO, they problem aint that big anymore. Anyways, obviously i still have to go through girls’ puberty and go through what other girls have to go through which is pretty sad ;-; I’m still pretty insecure with my body, and this video rlly helped- at least for the future when i’m actually allowed to buy things like wax strips and razor tingies to get rid of my body-hair. One more useless thing to say from me: my mum used to say that I got my body hair bc i didn’t eat well enough and that I had an unbalanced diet. Idk if that’s true or not but she never told me about puberty and so until the age of 10/11. Anyways idk if you’re still reading but if you are, I want you guys to know that you are beautiful the way u guys r and its entirely ur choices if u want to get rid of body hair and do things like that. Ruby yes. When I choose to dress feminine i do get insecure abt my body hair bc im thinking : “Should I wear this dress? No, it shows off my leg hair. What about this sleeveless shirt? No, it shows off my arm hair.” And when I go out dressed in a feminine way, ppl stare at me and i see kids from school and they look at me in a way as if i don’t take care of myself.
But the moment i cut my hair short, wear “boys’ “ shorts that arent considered “feminine” and a sleeveless shirt it suddenly becomes acceptable. It’s normal to have body hair. And just bc lets say a female doesnt get rid of that body hair it means that they dont take care of themselves, that they dont give a damn abt what ppl think and that they want to “stand out”. This is why im uncomfortable showing off my body. Plus I’m overweight, and some ppl still judge me for that. I remember once i was 10 yrs old, i was walking in town with my mum and i had a dress on and short socks so it showed my leg & leg hair. And the skirt was sleeveless so it also showed my arms. I remember i saw some girls who used to go to my primary school but started to go to highschool/secondary school, and were what everybody would expect in girls: skinny, tall/ medium height, beautiful, yea yea all of that. They stared at my legs and arms and laughed at me. They also stared at my stomach, since the dress was tight. Since then i’ve been insecure abt my body. Even at school when i wore shorts for P.E boys and other girls laughed at me. But ever since i became non binary and I started to dress more masculine, it has suddenly became ok for me. I hate most of society and thats why i hate to socialize with new ppl and thats why i would rather stay inside.
