I have a couple of friends with teenagers who have gone vegan and it gives me hope. I also wanted to say I was raised in Germany and that makes what you said extra special to me. I know that there's a perception that German people are cold and austere but honestly growing up there I had a bunch of "extra parents" around the neighborhood and found them to be so lovely and warm. For the ones she couldn't save? This was a cow auction, not a slaughterhouse. People just saw it was a male bull that was super small, so she got it for cheap. Size is better for males after all.
Children's minds are like a ball of clay waiting to be molded. Most are naturally playful, aside from species-specific survival instincts. Encouraged to be friendly and accepting, they tend to be that way, even if they are of different species. At a time when our world seems so divided based on our differences, it is encouraging to see Bucket and Colton show us love can conquer all barriers.
Cows can have friends and even best friends. Someone actually did research into cow friendships and 'discovered' this (even though it seems like common sense, it's good to have scientific backing). Cows -- and animals in general, really -- are more emotionally intelligent than people think.
@@tomitstube That doesn't make sense. They are not intelligent animals. You should experience being around them. No mater how "domesticated" they are they will poop and pee standing right next to you. They can't be used and trained like Oxen and horses. That's how they became a food animal.

You do know that even when the calves aren't milking, you still have to milk them, right? Or when there's an infection in the utter, it still has to be milked. My goat got an infection so bad she was screaming in pain, but her utter was swelling and it had to be done. Milk wasn't coming out, it was blood and puss.

Hey, do you know what breed colton is?
I love these stories! It lets me smile in this miserable world we live in!
Here too...
Bucket is adorable, and so sweet the way he tries to make himself the same size as your doggie! It's just precious how they play and love eachother!!!
Totally heartwarming!!!
This the cutest, most adorable calf I have ever seen ❤️
They nibble each other’s ears throughout, that’s their thing! 🦮🐂
The sweet and friendly Cow
If that's a Jersey cow, I think they are the most attractive animal in the world! ✌
It's a steer/bull: cows are females.
@@DieFlabbergast no, a heifer is a female cow, cow is the name for the full species
@@silverseen8300 I hate to argue but a heifer is a young fat woman who has not yet given birth. A cow is her mother. A steer is a wannabe bull, for example Governor Cuomo is a steer.
This is so cool. All animals have souls. God Bless this family for adopting this baby cow. Thank you.
you are truly noble soul. god bless you. Love from India🙏
cows and dogs are most emotional animals , i have more then 300 cows they need much more intense love and care.
300 cows? Are you a farmer? Farmers don't give love and care to their cows, bad for business.

Why do they do that?
@@jetuber because they're asses.
@@jetuber because the mothers owner wanted to sell the milk
@@Muataran No because a lot of cattle farmers sell day old calves. They shouldn't, the babies need at least 2 weeks of mother's milk but they don't care and sell them anyways. People naturally pick the strongest, biggest ones to buy. Please at least know something on the topic before answering questions.
@@pineappleparty1624 yeah they don't care because they want to sell the milk...
This is just the best. I Love Cow's and Dog's but together I've just never seen anything Cuter. Thank you for saving bucket. It seems all 3 of you got just what you needed from this. Thank you
This is a bull there is a difference between a cow and a bull one is a female the other a male ! Dumb ass
It's my goal to have at least one of every animal that people eat as a pet. I can't wait we're getting our first cows this summer! 🐂🐄. We're naming them Tofu and Tempeh ☺☺. Bless the animal rescuers of the world!

@@silviamonz2062 Thank you. I will try and do good for them.
@@bonniesimpson1636 I am sure you will do good I am godmother to a cow at a sanctuary in Germany called Butenland, this guy went from regular farming (slaughtering and all) to animal protection today they promote a vegan lifestyle and are home to cows,dogs,cats,geese,pigs.....many with a very sad past who finally live the good life the story of how that guy turned his life around is inspirational and it all started with a girl spending the whole night with one of his cows singing to her and being with her on the last hours of her existence,it made that farmer think and realize that his cows mattered and are sentient beings .....
Thank you for all the good you are planning to do may it bring you nothing but joy🌸
This comment made me smile... just like the video and kind comments! Do it :). Thank you for your care.
@@silviamonz2062 Omg that is so sweet of you to do that, I couldn't not respond again. Any and every little thing any of us can do helps not only animals individually but also (I feel anyway) helps normalize the idea of animals being sentient creatures that deserve better just the same way it was normalized in the past that they weren't. It makes me so happy to hear of the guys change of mind and heart. It seems like I've been hearing lots of stories like that lately which is wonderful. One guys story really struck me. He said he'd always felt bad loading them up for slaughter and one day he just couldn't take it any more so he did the same thing, changed to a sanctuary. Good news people are starting to get it. Their eyes are so soulful and their natures so sweet I can't wait to start saving them! Thanks for the post and godmothering a cow! I will look Butenland up.
This just proves again animals are better than humans to care and live together

what a joy to know Bucket is safe. Sad for the ones she could not save. They all have personalities.
At a time when our world seems so divided based on our differences, it is encouraging to see Bucket and Colton show us love can conquer all barriers.
cows are very intelligent and social animals, you put them together at the perfect time.
It's a bull, but yeah
Cows can have friends and even best friends. Someone actually did research into cow friendships and 'discovered' this (even though it seems like common sense, it's good to have scientific backing). Cows -- and animals in general, really -- are more emotionally intelligent than people think.
Sorry, they are not very intelligent. They can be trained somewhat and somewhat have a personality. They can never be fully trained to not attack you.
@@pineappleparty1624 so not being fully domesticated makes the dumb?
@@tomitstube That doesn't make sense. They are not intelligent animals. You should experience being around them. No mater how "domesticated" they are they will poop and pee standing right next to you. They can't be used and trained like Oxen and horses. That's how they became a food animal.
Such a adorable cute friendship I love how he realised that he was getting bigger so he started kneeling down so that he was at her level animals truly are so clever a lot more than what we give them credit for

I love this story. Makes me so happy people like you are out there! Thank you for having a sanctuary! Just so awesome to see Bucket and Colton's friendship ❤!
People can be like this too..... Do you have pets?
It hurts me so bad that we treat animals with such disrespect just so that WE can steal their milk and meat from them. Thank you so much for rescuing these beautiful creatures. I hope that your sanctuary will be a super success. 💞
Hello Linda how are you doing today
You do know that even when the calves aren't milking, you still have to milk them, right?
Or when there's an infection in the utter, it still has to be milked.
My goat got an infection so bad she was screaming in pain, but her utter was swelling and it had to be done. Milk wasn't coming out, it was blood and puss.
Food is food. Animals eat each other, this is nature.
@@christins.1481 Do you raise your goats for slaughter or do you steal the milk meant for the babies to sell to humans? Shame on you.
@@larryllama5225 Nope. Didn't do a single one.
Still has to be done. Especially if the kids want to feed on one teat. Sometimes females will start milking when kids are around and they have no kids themselves.
Still has to be done.
This is EXACTLY like a lactating woman. It has to come out to relive the pain from the pressure.
What a great video. An unusual relationship, but one that was meant to be. Such a beautiful thing to watch Bucket and Colton playing together. They seem inseparable. The video was fun to watch. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Cattle are very dog-like in terms of their playfulness. Give them a pile of fresh straw and they bounce in it and drop down to rub their faces in it.
