Armand is my favorite character from the Vampire Chronicles. He and Daniel are so amusing in Queen of the Damned. I think the part about Armand becoming obsessed with kitchen blenders and mixing frightful concoctions based mostly on the color of the ingredients is my favorite section in any book ever written. Just tickled my funny bone.
Armand is my favorite character in The Vampire Chronicles. He might be 500 years old, but I think being turned so young kind of froze him (not just his body) in youth. He has a great mind, but usually has a sort of adolescent curiosity or confusion about him as well that contrasts with his occasional wisdom. He is so melancholic and strangely innocent, like an injured child. It makes me want to hug him. And he's got some teenage sass I really enjoy.
armand is the most intriguing and charming character of the Chronicles while reading his own novel, I thought Armand was very much intense, maybe because he, in some ways, represents the spiritual soul of anne rice...
The conversation between Gabrielle and Armand in the castle that Magnus left to Lestate.....Armand wants to join as a trio and they say no and give their reasons why. Armand's reactions are amazing. Just amazing.
Fascinating. ❤ I finished the book in a few days as he is my favorite. I've always thought this of Marius and Lestat, that they represented more of how she sees the world, as I agree, but the magnetism of Andrei/Amadeo/Armand that draws me in is utterly overwhelming.
I watched interview in my 20s and thought it was awesome! I read The vampire lestat in my 40s after having married and had a child in my 30s and every character is just so relatable to me then and now! Even the ancient celt tree god made perfect sense. Please Mrs Rice continue on.
Anne Rice is a true genius - the depth of her understanding to write of these fully developed characters and she gives the reasons they are as they are emotinally. Anne we need more of you ...way more. A movie about Marius/Armand/Pandora? we love you.
@janajuggles I LOVE DANIEL AND ARMAND!!!!!!!! =) they're so cute! My favorite part with them is when Armand wakes up Daniel and tells him to dial Paris, to see if he can really talk to Paris. And Daniel say back "Can't you read the directions? What are you, an irrmortal idiot?" And then sees the look on Armands face and says "Fine, but you pay the bill." =) Daniel is awsomeness!
Angel Ufo lol 😂 that part gives me life. But my favorite one is when Daniel go to the restaurants and then Armand order a shit ton of food for him. I'd be in heaven if I was Daniel lol.
I love The Vampire Armand, one of my favorite books. I find the Marius-Armand relationship very amusing. Thank you for writing such great novels. I am currently reading The Witch Hour and I gotta say, It is fascinating.
Armand is my 2nd favorite character. I loved his narrative and sympathize with him. His childlike disposition makes for an interesting contrast of his vampiric nature. I feel like he never got a chance to grow up and get an identity, The satanism ideology was forced on him, and broken thanks to lestat. For a long time I felt he was trying to find a sense of self by testing roles.
The Vampire Armand is definetly my favorite book, I fell in love with him immediately. I cried when he cried, Marius is interesting as well, there relationship is so intense. But Daniel and Armand made my giggle. I love that even though Armand wants to move on from Marius and all, but he will still love him no matter what. What I find funny is in Blood and Gold Daniel lives with Marius, so where is Armand? At the Night Island?
She's every character in my mind every time I read the Vampire Chronicles, there's so many favorites of course Marius and Lestat are my personal favourite characters but characters like Armand, Quinn, David are completely diverse and yet I still can't believe these people came out of this Brilliant mind RIP Anne Rice your mind and soul will be forever missed ❤
Thanks for spoiling it. And I havnt gotten around to reading the next books. I finished Memnoch the Devil and read The Vampire Armand, and I read the book for Pandora. I will have to take a trip to the library it seems.
@Noxshus I don't mean to prove you wrong but they only think he is dead because when he saw Veronica's Veil he did go into the sun, but then he was saved by these two kids named Sybelle and Benji and they nurse him back to health no one new he was alive until he came back to the church Lestat was in, and and Marius hugged him and cried and blah blah blah, so I believe he is still alive.
Its kinda sad that Armand and Claudia are the two vampires that were turned so young. Armand was seventeen and Claudia was seven. I feel so bad for them. But he is pretty cool. i like Armand
I think if they were to make a movie of Armands life, the only person I can see ft to play him would be Elijah Woods...he is a good actor and I think he can definitely pull of Armands youthful look and curiosity and sorrow.
@Noxshus I read this in his book, which takes place right after Memnoch the Devil, as does Pandora's but Anne didn't right her book until years later. So Armand is still alive.
@EdwardandCedric1 I wondered the exact same thing. I figured Daniel would be with Armand or vice versa. And I never found the parts with Daniel quite to my taste, but then, he always seemed something of an addict in my eyes, and I have no taste for that.
@EdwardandCedric1 It's mentioned in Pandora I believe that Armand goes out into the sun because of Veronica's Veil; David is very upset about Armand's death.
Broken Angel83 In the book he was more like a teen and yes, he was his lover but Armand killed him because he became a burden when he fell in love with Louis, I think he lived In the movie cause he was more like a slave. His name was Dennis.

Hahaha me too. I love Armand for that!
Mine also
Yes me too, so I was very upset when the TV series changed all of it.

@a wow blast from the past lmao. I think he was 17, if I'm not misremembering
I'm so glad to hear her speak on him! I feel more connected to him than any other character in the books
Vampires are not real.
armand is the most intriguing and charming character of the Chronicles

Qarcon immortality was forced on Lestat to so he also had no choice why do you think Lestat says I'm Gonna give you the Choice I never had.
Who’s your 1st favourite?

He's the original vampire, the early humans.
Same here! But I LOVE the comedy behind Armand wanting to "call China". Hahaha, I was laughing while reading that!
Armand, my sweet sweet child, lest you lament your deeds and seek out your truth.
Thanks for spoiling it. And I havnt gotten around to reading the next books. I finished Memnoch the Devil and read The Vampire Armand, and I read the book for Pandora. I will have to take a trip to the library it seems.

Yes survived. Marius thought it was a miracle.
Its kinda sad that Armand and Claudia are the two vampires that were turned so young. Armand was seventeen and Claudia was seven. I feel so bad for them. But he is pretty cool. i like Armand

David Tarquino Absolutely not.
Would love a video on Nicolas.
Claudia is my absolute favourite vampire, I wish there was more about her.
Isn’t there a book written just for her?
@@SoraOfTheDarknessthat’s a fan fiction, not written by Anne but it got published and she liked it
The first book entirely from her perspective
@Noxshus I read this in his book, which takes place right after Memnoch the Devil, as does Pandora's but Anne didn't right her book until years later. So Armand is still alive.
@EdwardandCedric1
I wondered the exact same thing. I figured Daniel would be with Armand or vice versa. And I never found the parts with Daniel quite to my taste, but then, he always seemed something of an addict in my eyes, and I have no taste for that.
I loved Armand, he was a great character. its a shame he let himself be taken by the sun and died.
AmaLovesWow He didn't 💙
@EdwardandCedric1 It's mentioned in Pandora I believe that Armand goes out into the sun because of Veronica's Veil; David is very upset about Armand's death.
♥️
There is no spoiling!
Keep reading! You'll find he survives!
Are vampires real?
in the movie who's little boy ? is it Armand lover?
Broken Angel83 In the book he was more like a teen and yes, he was his lover but Armand killed him because he became a burden when he fell in love with Louis, I think he lived In the movie cause he was more like a slave. His name was Dennis.
The vampires in Anne Rice books couldn't have sex they were ace sexual
I wonder how Anne would like Assad's portrayal of Armand
