My friend who run a seiko AD told me the skx dead stocks is drying up pretty fast especially the 007 and 013 on jubilee.The 013 is almost gone. The 009 is still plenty around..The cost for AD getting their skx stock is also gone up a lot.The skx is been underpriced for the longest time.Now demand and supply are doing their part.Looking at the current street price of skx,it can go more than their retail price by end of year.It is worthy to own one regardless the price increase.It is one of a kind and iconic watch.
Apologies for the late reply. Yeah you're right, it just keeps increasing. I guess this are the last moments to grab one before everything runs out and Seiko moves on to 100% focus on their Prospex line for ISO rated divers.

I have an SKX013 and it’s absolutely one of my favorite watches. All of the downsides you mentioned honestly are part of its charm (except for the misalignment issues, which are seriously frustrating) and more than acceptable in this price range. The bracelet is rattly but it’s incredibly comfortable and is a pro, not a con. Everything about the SKX line up is more than acceptable for the price you pay. Personally I would gladly pay an extra $200 from Seiko for a sapphire crystal and upgraded movement to 4R36, but Seiko decided to discontinue them instead of upgrading the watch. Still I think at its current price the SKX is still worth it, if you can get one under $350 then its a no brainer. Anything above $400 and it becomes too much.
Actually the skx013 might be better than the 007/009 in term of value in the future. Because skx013 have no new seiko5 model like the seiko 5kx. I wonder if Seiko make the new version of Skx013 too. It would be really fun.
Good point bro.The only model that come close with skx013 legacy is seiko sea urchin lineup especially their 38mm size model.Since it been out of productiom price is going up.The white dial sea urchin is almost triple from their retail price.The 41mm white sea urchin snzf11 is considered the ultimate grail in the seiko sea urchin lineup.
They are still to be found, I recently bought mine from a Seiko AD in the United Kingdom and had it shipped to Denmark great watch, no misalignments, -8 seconds per day off the box
Hi Tomek, i did try to search but unfortunately couldn't find one. I saw one on amazon but it's overpriced. There are quite a few locally here where I am but they don't ship to Poland and if they do I think the shipping cost would be too much to make it worth it.

Yeah, keep the skx original as a historical piece. They won't make them any more. I have a skx013 for my watch strap business. I use if to model the straps. If you want something different, just buy all skx parts from a modding supplier. You can buy case, bezel, insert, movement, disl and hands all custom to your taste.
I can't recommend them as I don't have experience with them but Marathon is known for their Mil-spec divewatches. And they do have them in 36mm. I think Invicta has quartz dive watches at 38-39mm as well. However I can't really recommend them as I don't have experience with them, apologies if I wasn't of much help.
There are a few places still selling them like dutyfreeisland.com and creationwatches.com I wouldn't say there are the best but they are pretty famous online watch sellers.
Buy a DEEPBLUE 300 nato instead (see videos, you will understand why) or an ISLANDER from LONG ISLAND watches wich is very nice to and lot better than the SEIKO but never as much as the DEEPBLUE.
I guess it depends on how you look at it. The same could be said for Rolex or Patek or Hamilton, heck all watches cuz we really don't need them at this day and age do we? 😉

I own a skx013 and i upgrade his bezel to lumed ceramic bezel ... Killer watch ! If someone want an improved skx i suggest build one (modded skx)

Top small mechanical dive watch, I'm still searching for a comparable small quartz dive watch, any suggestions?
I can't recommend them as I don't have experience with them but Marathon is known for their Mil-spec divewatches. And they do have them in 36mm. I think Invicta has quartz dive watches at 38-39mm as well. However I can't really recommend them as I don't have experience with them, apologies if I wasn't of much help.
