After all these years, likely still the best-looking hybrid out there. However, if you are looking for sleep tracking and you don't sleep your full 6-8 hours at night, this is not for you. It doesn't record any sleep that is below 3 hours. So, if your sleep is fragmented in several parts throughout the day and night (like mine due to work), stick with the chunky but reliable Fossil HR Collider or its clone, the Skagen HR Jorn. They both record sleep as short as 1 hour.

I wanted something that could be wearable to an important event without looking like having a piece of expensive plastic on my wrist. Finally I didn't want a clone of my smartphone latched on to my wrist that needed to be charged every night together with my cell, my laptop and countless other devices. In short, I needed a Withings Steel. Great watch, great video...

Informative and entertaining. Watched full video without skipping. I was watching alone, still could not stop laughing out loud when you gave birth to Rabit.
Received mine yesterday and put it back in the box after 30 minutes. I set it up and downloaded the app. It is totally unable to pick up my heart rate. I read the faqs, followed the instructions, watched the fix offered on the video, tried the other arm, restarted the watch. Nothing! Utter disappointment.

I have owned one of these since Dec. I have to factory reset the watch and reconnect to my iPhone about every other week to reset the notifications (you know, the “smart” part). Withings continues to have me expect a software update to resolve the issue. Still waiting. And waiting. I’m not a satisfied customer.

This thing was interesting 2 years ago when it came out. Now for the same money you can get an Amazfit GTR which is a fully featured smartwatch and also lasts around 3 weeks on a charge.
You say the after sales are good but if you look on trust pilot they average 1star all because of aftersales. It put me off buying it also misses key fitness features for people who actually train properly it doesn't have a lap timer, that's one of the most basic things runners need
Mine is useless for notifications! Almost never get them. If the notifications worked id definetely wear it within my usual shuffle of smartwatches. Be careful though....
favorite smart product is the nest thermostat. Can control temp from anywhere. Especially helpful when you want your house nice and cool when you're on your home from work. Or warm in the winter. #teamtechvengers

The Withings pictures look beautiful and the watches are. But Withings forget you as soon as you have paid the product. Withings support is unreachable. So keep fingers crossed you will never have a frozen watch.

Yup you can turn off the Bluetooth connection on the watch

When i do a Trip with the withings steel hr/Sport, do i have to take my phone with me to save the Data to look after the Trip?
Nope it syncs with the watch and then when you come home you open the app and it downloads all the data !
