Thanks guys for watching this video. We are still getting donation's in for the project which is awesome thanks everyone for the help. You can also help by sharing the link to this video to get more people watching.
Share wherever you can. The restoration is going well because of all the help.
Thanks to Mastermilo, I have been following your build closely. What a roller-coaster ride. Can't wait to see it in person.
Meckara thanks for the kind words
That engine sounds so good. You guys did such a good job, I was absolutely stunned on last years Militracks and I can't wait to see you guys during the 2020 edition.
I admire how skill and competent you are to do such a work
Thanks for your kind words
Some serious craftmanship is going into building a machine like that... Not really a case of just going to the shop for new parts
Is it possible to reconstruct a whole WW2 tank by manufacturing your own parts?
Yes it very possible but that will take a lot of engineering measuring etc. There are a few companies that use an existing tracked vehicle as basis but to scratch build your own replica tank is much more work but is also being done by among others panzerfabrik which cab
be followed on facebook. facebook.com/Panzerfabrik/
that engine purrss like a kitten - nice
Thanks
Please leave a comment if you have anything to say. if it's a suggestion question whatever is ok.
Frankly I am stunned and excited at the same time! If only I had that skill.
Question: Are the tracks sagging by design? IWUTIT they should be tight to the drive sprocket even at rest. If that is wrong Tamiya need a good talking to!
If you look at original pictures they always sag a bit.
@@jackofalltrades164 They do, but they don't tend to hang off the drive sprocket. In your later videos, which I watched straight after, you mentioned the need to tighten the tracks, so I guess it was part of the rebuild process.
Thanks for answering.
Mr Wibble sorry didn’t see which video you reacted to. See the last drive video. That’s about the normal tension.
So are the new replacement parts actual *armor plate* (Rolled Homogenous Armor, I'm guessing ?) in the appropriate thicknesses ? If so, that must have been difficult to obtain.
The few Armour pieces we had to replace are either Armour plates or equivalent thickness
Bet they wish they had compression tools in the field for the tracks haha
Is the video of the running vehicle after the fire or before?
Of the running before the fire. There is one for after too
This is a v12 Deutz diesel?
Yes
mooi werk
Dank je
What is the name of the music from 2:44 - 4:20 ?
When johnny comes marching home
@@jackofalltrades164 thanks)
Repect, wat een klus zeg. Hoeveel % is nog origineel uit 40/45?
Ik schat 80%
@ 8:13 the angle of the cardan joints seems to be to much... Or at least on the limit! 😯🤔
It is on the limit and we did change that which you will be able to see in the next video at the end of the month.
Soak for 2 days with pb blaster and they would come right out
this reminds me of my honeymoon
how so?
Tracks are to loose
Yes very well spotted. We didn’t have the correct parts at the time.
