Excellent video! LOVE that you change to a second needle! A sharp needle inserts more easily and is, therefore, more comfortable to the bunny. I also love the tip about pulling back on the syringe to check to make sure the needle is under the skin and there’s no air. And I bet most vets don’t tell their clients to shake the penicillin vial before administering! Great, great video.
It looks so easy but my needles keep popping off the syringe and then the rabbit's covered in medicine. I also notice you don't push the air out of the needle before injecting, is that unnecessary? The tech who taught me didn't do it but then other people I've discussed with have said that it is.
I used to inject ivermectin with insulin syringe 0.2ml/kg to my rabbit to cure ear mites, this time I have injected 3rd dose but ear mites are not going. What could be reason?
The gauge of the needle used depends on the type of medicine being injected (some meds like penicillin are thicker and, therefore, require a bit larger gauge)-and the specific type of animal being injected.
Bless you for making such a thorough and accessible guide. I’m alone and scared out of my mind to do this but I feel a little more confident now
Excellent video!

best education video about this I've seen yet!

Make sure you swipe off any medicine!! Oral ingestion of penicillins is toxic for rabbits
Thank you for this!

What happens if I accidentally stick myself?
How and when to inject a penicillin to a rabbit
I have to start giving needles to my bun today I'm 15 and terrified I hope I do it right😣😭😭😭
I have to begin tomorrow!! Chanced upon this video and I think it’s comprehensive enough for us to get the job done. All the best!!!!
Hi, I saw 23g needle when you drew the medication. And what the needle g when you injected? I saw gray color. Is it 27g needle?

@@LoveABundo you know what the smallest gauge of needle you can use for subq penicillin on a bunny?
