Yes aging affects all oils and attars. Very Old oud oils like 10 years old will smell different from when they were distilled. Their notes change a bit like 30 to 40% i think.
Surrati and Anfar are just in the same category. In commercial brands, Ajmal's Oud Oils are the best. I haven't tested Abdul Samad Al Quraishi yet But have sniffed Surrati and Anfar
Since I have started sniffing Artisanal Oud oils from Ensar Oud and other Artisanal Oud Oil producers. Most of the available in the market at low prices are fake or altered and mixed with other chemicals. If you buy Oud Oils try to buy one above or around $100 minimum. So my top Cambodi oils are Kambodi King from Ensar Oud and Cambodi Vert 2017 from Imperial Oud. Hindi I would say Alamgir from Imperial Oud is the best one. It could be Oud Chips or maybe Oud Oils itself. There are many smoky spicy Oud Oils too. Some perfumes might come close to this but few oud oils have this tobacco kind of woody smoky touch to them

No, its not anything like BR540. There are many types of Cambodi Oud Oils. They are resinous, woody, sweet like mild sweet, some have smell of caramel, some are sweet and airy like from Koh Kong region. Some have menthol like cooling sweetness. It all depends on their region and how they were extracted. If you are a beginner, start with Borneo or Aceh regions or Thai Oud Oils

Does it have a real oud as kyara oud is very expensive. Normally, it starts at $2000 per ml. 99% of commercial perfumes use chemical replacement to create woody or oud accord

I know that's what the ingredients from what I've read. Thanks alot for helping me. I guess u have never smelled the Ralph Lauren Big Pony # 4 for men. I don't have alot of money and recovering from a bad car wreck or I'd Big Pony up the Money for a vintage big bottle off ebay but I just buy a small 15 mil mini until I find one I'm able to buy.

@Scent Explorer it's almost gourmand. Synthetic too but something about the color of the bottle and the smell of sweet spicy orange 🍊 has a bit richness in the spice. That has to be the Kyara wood 🪵. I would ask u if possibly buy a small 15 mill miniature bottle for around 25 to 30 bucks. Or ask a friend of yours if they have ever smelled it and if it reminded them of anything else. It's spicy and could probably be considered unisex but with a masculine lean. Also I have no idea which purfumer made it. The collection is 4 different types # 1 thru # 4 for men and women. 4 different bottles each. The ladies # 4 is also considered a oriental fragrance. Thanks for helping me. I subbed to u because of it.
they call khlum Chan oud oil the best smell in cambodia.and long time in royal line they take Khlum chan wood to cremation king.

Can't decide. For me, Oud is my addiction then I love Musk and Sandalwood the most. Musk is a special scent that is easily describable
