Because in Muslim's the perfumes having based content made with spirit(alcohol) is forbidden to be applied to a body. It's haraam to use perfume containing alcoholic content. But because of it's oil content it last for more time than the spirit content perfumes. Attars are better than that of alcohal based perfumes. Attars are alcohol free and 100% pure. But I perfumes 20-25% fragrance is used with 75-80% alcohol.
I know your trip is coming to an end. The next time, you should ask Imran the perfumer if you could visit their distillery where they produce these Atars/essential oil perfumes.
But i think shopkeeper will get recognised because of his video..as many people are watching if 10000 people watch this video atleast 10 people will go to his shop and purchase perfume from him ....and mouth publicity continues from there....its a win win situation for that shopkeeper.
