Tour Tacoma Stadium High School

One of the most iconic buildings in Tacoma, Stadium High School. The Northern Pacific Railroad began Construction in 1891 as a Luxury Hotel and stopped in 1893 when the world was struck by an economic depression.
After a fire in 1898, the building was purchased by Tacoma School District and opened in 1906 as Tacoma High School.
The gultch near the school went under construction soon after to create a large 32,000 seat arena. Several presidents spoke at the stadium.
In 2005-2006 the school went through a large update. Stadium High School now stands as a testament to Tacoma's commitment to enhance and preserve the city's heritage.

My dad graduated stadium in 1940....both he and my mother were born and raised in Tacoma..
