    Better run out and get a Gen5. 2026 TrdPro doesn't cut the mustard. Cargo space compromised by hybrid battery pack. Rear seats "tumble" forward and take up too much space. Rear seat occupant leg room looks tight, especially on egress. Do you really need all the "tech" when you're hitting the trail?
    Tried and true Gen5 just can't be beat for the true adventurer. JMHO.

    Going 100k, 200k and 300k was with their V-6 motors. I doubt that will happen with a 4 cylinder that is stressed to the max.
    This is America, not Japan. We push our off road vehicles hard. The last thing I want is to be in the middle of nowhere and have my motor explode.
    Put a turbocharged 4 liter in that the 4-Runner and the Tacoma and your sales will skyrocket. I have a Runner and love it. I would buy a new Runner and a Tacoma if you put a turbocharged 4 liter in them.

They also really shine at altitude. I live in Wyoming in the northern wind river range and drive at elevation all the time. Once I got a turbo I was shocked at how much better it was. Never ever going back to a wheezing NA.

    Man all companies are just going to keep adding as many mostly useless features as they can in increasing the price of it all 2 fold. Within the next couple of years your average car is going to have as many controls, knobs, dials and readings as a spaceship.

    Would payload/towing capacity change on the new 4Runner due to different trims and features? To me, the 4 cylinder engines are not going with big towing.

      @guidenext2204 In case you weren't aware, at least with the 5th gen 4Runners, if you get one without a moonroof, you'll have more head clearance than if you get one with. Not sure if that's the case with the 6th gen 4Runner or any of the other SUVs you mentioned.

    What grade of gas is best for a 4cyn turbo?!

    • @brett2323
      @brett2323 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unless you are driving a 600k supercar, the days of fuel grade mattering ended roughly 15yrs ago. Every engine is made to be adaptable to any grade. You may not be utilizing the full capability/efficiency of the engine, but you'd never cause damage and the average driver wouldn't be able to tell a difference.

    • @spyterus
      @spyterus หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m almost certain it will “require” premium gas, as most turbos do. It will be fine if you put in the lower octane fuel, but over time the turbo systems and fancy injectors will get gunky from the cheap gas deposits.

    I have a question. Does anybody know how this compares in size with the fifth generation forerunner? Is it shorter, is it wider, does it weigh less, Turn ratio? If I’m going to go this route with that smaller engine, I want more maneuverable, slightly more compact vehicle to operate. Might be fun to drive. I find my fifth generation forerunner to be a bit cumbersome, when compared to the jeep Cherokee 1999 that I also own.
