Some months back, Dera reached out to me and said she wanted to get a documentary to properly capture her stepping into a new year in her life and asked if i’d be willing to tell the story of where she’s currently at and her headspace transitioning into her birthday. I immediately knew this was a story I wanted to tell for so many different reasons. I said yes, and we began our journey into creating a time capsule of Dera’s birthday.
