Another timely message. After unsuccessfully trying to "niche down" like everyone suggests, I finally had to accept that it wasn't the right move for me. Utilizing a wide range of concentrations was instrumental throughout my own personal journey, so I figured it would be counterproductive to pivot from that perfective. The thing that gives me a leg up, so to say lol is that I am able to discern the interconnectedness between a ride range of concepts. I can always "meet you where you are". If this information does not resonate, I can easily. This will also allow me to curate specialized lessons to suit individual needs. That's the plan at least. 🤷🏾♂️
@privatethoughts85 you are not alone here, that's for sure. Niching down often doesn't work for people who have multiple different interests. Though the narrative is so strong that it can make us feel as though we are doing something wrong by not choosing and sticking to one thing. I myself went through this and it sucked. So I'm really happy to hear that you're aware of one of your gifts - the connection between different topics. Such a powerful and important ability. One that single-minded paths don't have. I will be bringing out more education around this so hopefully it can continue to help you and people like you to walk paths that work with your own naturalness rather than against it.
All of my adult life I have been powerfully driven to build a "unified field theory" in my mind. Never not. I am simply built that way. For there to be a move back towards 'unity', you have to start with apparent multiples. I deeply resonate too with the above comment about being able to meet people where they are because I have probably studied it or thought about it before. Lol. I'm in my 60s which helps. I have had many years of winding studies through whatever else I am doing in my outer life.
i’ll give a small anecdote haha. I like learning languages just for fun. I do it very half-assed lol. but I saw a lot of people say not to learn multiple languages at once, that you don’t actually retain much by doing that. so I tried to focus on one language per week, but I felt that I actually wasn’t retaining much. I went back to how I was doing it before and realized that it worked better for me. I usually would do about 5 minutes in each language and rotating between 3-5 languages depending how much time I have and doing either a lesson or a review (i use the Mango Languages app btw for anyone who also likes learning lol). when I go from one language to the next I am kind of subconsciously still thinking about the other language. so I may learn a new word in korean and I will think “ok in japanese I think it’s ___ and in spanish it’s ___”. by doing that I started to notice some similarities either in pronunciation, the sound, or meanings of what I was learning which I honestly feel helped me retain more!
@@agatastaniak7459 Initially the only language I was studying was Japanese and I technically have been studying for 9 years - but again, it’s all very half-assed since it’s not something I NEED to learn but just wanted to out of genuine curiosity about the language. evenutally that curiosity turned toward other languages, and spanish is kind of a necessity since my family speaks spanish and i just needed to touch up. using the method I have been has still helped me retain info better in my honest opinion and experience, and I do think switching from Duolingo to Mango made a difference too tbh as I think the lesson structure is easier to remember imo! but that’s just me, I understand it’s not necessarily for everyone but it did feel validating to see this video and look at this one part of my life through that lens :)
@@ritasjourney that’s fair! I found that the similarities helped me keep that vocabulary in my mind better. an example i’ll use is that one of the words for ‘bag’ in japanese is ‘kaban’ and in korean the word is ‘kabang’ 😆 so i’m like “sweet, two for the price of one” but I can also see how that would easily get mixed up lol
I used to not know how I was going to balance my passion for fantasy writing and building fantasy worlds with my calling for teaching spirituality and self improvement. It didn't help me that every teacher out their preached finding a specific niche. Recently I've realized a solution and I'm dutifully putting the project together. Glad I found your channel.
@templar1111 that narrative of choosing a specific niche is incredibly strong and can really detract from those of us that don't fit that shape. So cool to hear that you've found your own way, bringing cohesion to your pursuits. Inspiring and I'm here for it.
Love your energy, I have a suggestion, dungeons & dragons. you build the world and all of its conflict as the dungeon Master, players interact with the world and make choices and the dice (synchronicity) decides what happens. Dungeons and dragons divine systems are pretty boring , you could change that.
One of the hardest and enjoyable pursuits of a polymath is seeing the hidden interests between multiple subjects. The only way I find that can happen is by developing a strong intuition, and reading a boatload of books. Well, this is really how I've come to develop deep learning. I'd like to know if anyone else have come up with their own methods. Also, it would be nice to know how you all put your niche ideas into practice, making monetization possible. Not in theory, but if you've done it successfully.

Better to move slow and steady like tortise they say. I was not able to recognize that I am multi-passionate until now. I always felt like I never "knew" what I was passionate about, yet I have many different hobbies and things that I am interested in learning about. Have always felt like something was "wrong" with me for not being able to have 1 thing for me to focus on and get really good at, instead I have always found it rather interesting that I seem to be naturally good at many different things. I appreciate you sharing this knowledge and reminding us that with this approach we must be able to find a balance that works for us, in order to make sure we are not supressing any parts of ourseves that want to be expressed. I have a curious question for you when it comes in regards to potentially being a youtuber/content creator. I see most youtubers, create content that is of the same subject, or topic, or sort of theme if you will. What are your thoughts and perspective when it comes to a content creater who is multi-passionatr and goes into those different topics within their content, instead of having their channel for example be solely oriented around, self-improvement, but instead, they touch on many different subjects that may in turn be interconnected. Would that be too messy and not be enough structure for a content creator?
@ItsTimeToTransform absolutely and when Multi-Passionate people allow themselves a long-term view on life it's so beautiful to witness as things slowly unfold and later come together. Because there's nothing "wrong" with you for wanting more from life than a single-minded passion. I love when people accept the full nature of their being. As for the question, there are definitely people who work best focused on one subject and who do well without deviation. Whereby many different topics can come out. That's one way to approach it. I've also worked with others who have new topics every video (one past clients simply focuses on a country and talks about everything within that country from the food to the people to philosopher raised there). I would encourage you to find the core of it all and that would inform the direction and structure. Because there's so many ways to do this that doesn't require "one niche." There's even a trend atm of people who run multiple businesses, I think it's called Multipreneurs. It all stems from your calling which is found at the soul-level.
