Ive realised I know intuitively as we all do when something doesn’t look right but I wasn’t sure what exactly was wrong or how to change it. That is what I love so much about your channel you are explaining all the mistakes. Have you done a video on choosing the right colour palette for your skin tone and hair? Or choosing a basic minimal wardrobe ? At the moment my wardrobe is like a rainbow and I need to cut it down to things that I can match and that actually go together.
Jill- Thank you so much, and yes, I'm planning some videos on colors. Color is a huge topic! One can have an entire channel on it because there's so much to talk about and can get quite complicated!
Thank you for teaching your magic! You make rule of thirds easy to understand. It's really changed my way of dressing. I feel better and look better. 🌹🌹🌹
I love your fashion suggestions, even I'm not so petite I feel that I always learn something new about architecture of my attire- making me look slimmer, taller, giving longer legs, better structure. Thank you!
Dear Chi, congrats for this great video. I used to wearing suits all the time at work; as a result, I learned to use its blazers as "jackets" for informal outfits. Well, having so many blazers in diferents, styles, tone of colors, and materials, really enhanced the possibilities to create or completes those outfits. I love blazers because definitely, they dresses up any look. You rigth "the eternal problem of the sleeves" unfortunately, we (the pettites) have to face it every time we are purchasing something. As usual a great video. Many thanks⚘
I tell you Chi... You are the BEAST of Petite dressing and style. Your information is spot on, new information for petite dressing and, all of your information makes sense. Priceless advice for Petite dressing. You are Over the top.
Thank you for this very helpful video!! Now it makes sense why I didn’t wear my “wardrobe staple” black blazer very often. I thought it was the blazer... no, the proportions were wrong! Now I again look forward to wearing it styled differently. I will try my longer flowery skirts with my moto jacket. 👍🤗
I watched this video again and again and found it so helpful since i have all of these blazers and now know how to put it together, love your video so much! So amusing too! Love it!
It helps to look for blazers that don’t have a sleeve vent, it’s so much easier (and cheaper if you have someone else do it), to shorten the sleeves. All that has to be done is shorten at the cuff, and move the buttons.
Great video! I like that you showed how to improve a look without changing clothes. Tucking in a blouse made such an obvious difference. I learned a trick from Alyssa Beltempo’s channel for too long sleeves. She uses a hair elastic to create some ruching that covers the elastic and shortens the sleeve! Your content is great
Alyssa Beltempo's channel is such a treasure trove of information! I've been following her since I had discovered the world of capsule wardrobes about 5 years ago and use her as an inspiration to keep my wardrobe in a manageable state as far as the number of items in it. I'm definitely not a minimalist but watching her reminds me to make more mindful decisions when adding or editing my closet.
Wow! When you see the side by side comparison, it seems obvious. I have not heard this advice before. I now need to binge on your videos. Thanks for sharing. You look beautiful in each example.
I’ve just discovered your Chanel and I’m finding it so helpful I love to wear skirts and it’s very hard to find styling tips for them so I’m loving learning how to style skirts
@@PetiteDressing Yes, I have a wonderful ability to make a blazer look frumpy & now I know why! In addition though, I am a 5'2 inverted triangle so I also look ridiculous with the padded shoulders (I have learned it's not enough to get a petite fit).

Love your videos! Last year I gave away a black cropped 3/4 sleeve peplum blazer. What was I thinking?!? I'm still searching for a replacement to add back to my wardrobe now that I'm going back to the office again. Wish me luck!!!
Hi lovely Chi - I thank you soooo much for the valuable content you share with us. Your style is super pretty and I adore your sweet personality. Sending you much love from Switzerland 😘
Hello! Your videos and tips are just amazing! It's funny how effectively we know when something is wrong with an outfit, but we can't tell what ! I know your channel it's called petite dressing...but I was wandering if one day you could style a curvy girl or dedicate a video on tips about how to style us ^^ Sorry about my English!
Thank you for this video, I've learned so much since discovering your channel. I love your style, the midi black skirt that you wear in the first outfit is amazing (as the rest of the outfits!)
i love the look of blazers, but really tough to find ones that fit, including sleeve length. the only ones that have fit me quite well so far is the J.Crew going out blazer, and an Ann Taylor cropped velvet one that i bought on a whim at a thrift store
😆 thanks for making me laugh with this comment! I can do 3/4 sleeves no problem but blazers don't generally work for me because I have an inverted triangle body shape & I look like a throwback to the glorious 80s!
I have just come across your channel and got so many tips as I am a petite, pear shape mature lady. I like maxi dresses in the summer would that make me look shorter
Thank you so much for sharing such great tips! I listened to your suggestion for tucking in the shirt to elongate your body. However, I always try to hide my tummy. I am a petite apple shape (I watched your video to figure out my body shape). In my new job I will be required to wear a blazer. Do you have suggestions for petite apple body shaped that would like to hide the belly while needing to wear blazers? Thanks!!
Hi Chi gorgeous blazer looks. Blazers are incredibly gorgeous to wear and I love to style my pencil skirt with it and looks very versatile to wear with a long dress as well. You look absolutely amazing Chi love your silk green top you are wearing very gorgeous and chic. ❤
Thanks so much for this video! It answered so many of my questions about styling blazers. I just wanted to clarify... are cropped length blazers the ones that are waist length? And do they go with any length/style of skirt or dress? And if so, would this be the same case for cropped cardigans too?
I was watching a sewing channel and the host mentioned sleeves making a difference. She is inverted triangle shaped and short sleeves emphasize her upper body, especially bust, so she wears sleeves that are 3/4 or full to draw attention to her hips. So, would assume 3/4 can draw attention to waist helping make your legs look longer! Also, one question. I see that in your comparisons with the black midi skirt, you also changed from black to a nude shoe. You also had nude shoes with black skinny jeans/pants. Why not stick with black shoes? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing Janna! You can wear the black to echo the skirt color, but, nude has more leg elongating effect, which can balance out the "cut-off" effect of midi skirt!
Ok I need help with where the blazer should hit. I have a bunch of blazers that hit at the widest part of my hips/thighs…. I’m slowly replacing them but blazers are pricey. How can I style blazers as a pear shaped that hit at the widest part? What’s the styling trick for this? Monochromatic, turtleneck and a skirt?
I love your style! Where did you get the first white cropped blazer you have on? I love it. What is the brand? Also, where did you get the light blue signature sweater?
@@PetiteDressing have you washed yet? The reason I ask is do you have to get it pressed? Also what size do you have, for reference! I found a small/reg but I’m only 4”11.
