@@adbahomar7484 I think its called Bariis Iskukaris that’s the type of rice they have with with goat meat and salad, if you’re going to get it make sure to get the green chilli sauce. But I think when you ask for Bariis Iskukaris you get those with it because Somali people generously add lots of things and a lot of amount of food. I hope you get to try it soon somali food is so nice and it’s cheap
I’m somali and nobody in my family eats rice with banana’s but me, i love it, the lime was for the “bisbas” the chilli sauce, in the tea we put ginger, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon I love it 😍and you’ll have to eat with your hands tastes 100times better

What you said looked like a wand is actually a whole clove. It makes food taste amazing but don't bite it or eat it. It doesn't taste good like that.
It's clove.. It's an aromatic flower bud . It's is very beneficial for human body as it is antioxidant. Even it's used for toothache . Just put the clove on the tooth and chew it and the pain goes away after some time .

Rice may came from Asia but we Somalis make the best rice.
No garlic in Somali tea.
We use cardamon, pepper, ginger and cloves
Actually there was native rice in West Africa, West Africans have had rice at the same time as Asians. So rice does not come from Asia, maybe for y'all in East Africa rice came through that way.

The banana is meant to be ate with the food. We eat everything with banana. What you saw the man eating was called federation and it’s where rice and pasta are on the same plate. It was ginger in the tea and not garlic. And it’s pepper not okra. And I’m a a fan of y’all’s!!!

3 cups sells rice
1 kg lamb meat
2 onions
3 carrots
1/2 cup black raisins
1 cup oil
salt 1/2tbs
Cumin seeds
Cardamom
Hot water 7 cups
Preparation
Wash and soak sella rice in hot water for 1 hour.put your oil in a pan and add your carrots, fry for 5 minutes. Fry your raisins for 10 seconds.leave aside. Add your meat to the same oil and fry for 5 minutes. Then add your onions to the meat and fry the meat and onions together for 10 minutes. Add your salt and cumin seeds. Then add 6 cups of water and let to boil and cook for 40-45 minutes. Take the meat out and add your sella rice to the broth. Then add another 1 cup of hot water. Add a little bit more salt depending on ur choice. Boil until water dry out and turn on higher flame for 5 minutes. Add your cardamom. Decorate with your cooked raisins carrots and meat in the pan or wahtever you cooked it in. Cover the lid with a towel or cloth and leave for 5 minutes on medium heat. Bring the temperature to low and leave it for 20 minutes.

11.50: it’s clove seeds. Asian foods like Indonesia or Malay is very often use this seed. The clove can enrich the flavor of the meat or rice if you put some seeds on it. Especially goat, lamb, beef meat. Beside for foods, Olden people also use this seed also for curing tooth ache and a mixture of nicotine/cigarettes.
The green thing you eat is not Ocra,/Okra, it’s jalapeño or a kind of chili plant. Next time, you girls should try varieties of Indonesian soups: Oxtail, Soto Kikil, Konro Beef soup, .etc... Please do try it!
