    In Azerbaijani Turkish, we use the word “toy” for the wedding party and historically we used Qurultay” for conferences or decision-making gatherings, like the one arranged for Nadir Shah in Mughan.

      If we were Tartarian decedents , we'd be battling each other for Satan's war right now. Whoever is to blame for Tartarian's demise is to blame for all of history's disasters. Our current history goes back just around 5000 years. What happened to Tartaria's society? Who is responsible for Tartaria's unexpected disappearance? That should be your mission. If you open your mind, you will view the world in a whole new light. We've all been duped; this secret history of mankind is more fiction than fact. ch/out th-cam.com/video/wDj5hl2pUYs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cePuFEMZoDf2bIIg

      Very good question that we will answer in the next two episodes. To make it short and spoil a bit: the Göktürks prohibited themselves from invading other sedentary peoples and annexing their territory out of fear of losing what made them special in the first place.

    Why were they called “celestial”?

    • @KhansDen

      The idea was that they were seen as warriors sent by Tengri, the God in the sky, to unite the Turkic tribes and rule them with success. It's a narrative that the Göktürks' descendants later cultivated themselves. As explained in the first episode, "Gök" originally was pronounced "Kök", and this meant as much as "sky", but also "east" and "original". I do find it unlikely, however, that the Ashina would use a designation such as "eastern" Türks when their ambition was to rule all Turkic peoples; they would degrade their own position and claim. As for the "original", the term Gök Türk was used in the Orkhon inscriptions in a way that makes a clear connection to the Ashina leaders Bumin and Istemi being lucky and blessed, and thus "kök türk". That's why I decided to go with the "Celestial Türk" idea a while ago.
