Unlike the massive one in Shanghai which feels a bit cold and soulless to me…this new castle gives a very intimate and sweet vibe. It’s truly captivating and magically pulls you in if you know what I mean

That castle is breathtaking. It shows how much creativity the imaginers can do when corporations allow them to be truly creative. All that detail in this castle is truly MAGICAL.
This looks terrific! I always thought the first version of the castle was a terrible miscalculation. The mountain nearby made it look extra small and pulled focus. THIS is a castle that gets your attention and makes much more of an impact.
The twinkling lights in the trees low key give me "lanterns from Tangled" vibes 😍😍 so magical!

@@tdrexplorer HK Disney may not be as big as Shanghai's...but I swear...HK's Disney has something special..just has that warmth.. something magical that makes you just fall in love with that place.

I was super unsure about the revamp of the castle based on the concept design they released to the public years ago. Now, I'm blown away! It's looks so beautiful. I didn't think the real thing would be more beautiful than the drawing. Imagineers are amazing!! I'm hoping I can visit soon once it's safe.
I love the way this castle has multiple engagement points for all princess lovers! All the beautiful, thoughtful details like the column friezes are simply magical!

Thank goodness for the new castle... HK's old castle was so underwhelming compared to other Disneylands around the world I've been to. I live in HK so I always felt so disappointed looking at our castle lol. And actually, you couldn't even walk inside it, it was just a castle prop to look at. I think it was super short to begin with so you could see the nice mountain background behind it but I prefer the new one... can't wait to see it in person!

The imagineers did a phenomenal job of the castle! You can see how much love and care went into the design and intricate details of representing the different Disney princesses. The castle looks so pretty at night 😍 shame I didn't get to stay until nighttime last time I visited but couldn't due to the riots going on at the time 💔 😔 hope to come back and visit when it is safe (Post-Covid)
I loveeeeee all those gorgeous carved pillar that represents all the characters in princess movie . The movie is not just about the princess and prince, but also about all the characters that playing a part in those magical movies.

Magical! Hong Kong Disneyland is by far my favorite Disney Park, I went for the first time in 2019 and am literally just waiting for covid to be a distant memory as all I want to do is go back.
I can't wait to get back to HKDL. It's my favourite park for a relaxing Disney experience hahah.

Seeing this castle transform makes me cry, because I've basically grown with Hong Kong Disneyland, it's just it's 2 years older than me. And I've been to HK Disneyland more than I could count since my mom used to work as a flight attendant in Cathay Pacific and I would go to Hong Kong every Summer Holiday and Christmas holiday. I just wish we could go there this year, but with everything that's going on in this world, I could say that's quite unlikely that I would be able to go there. Just really hope we can go back there soon..
I hope you get to go back sometime in the near future.

@@tdrexplorer Me too 🤞🏻 My favourite walk to a Disney park in the world is the walk from Explorers Lodge or HK Disneyland Hotel to HK Disneyland. My kiddos get so excited naming all the characters along way and it’s stunning with those mountains in the background.

The colors and the details are so beautiful! My only issue is that the original still feels like it pops off in the front... or maybe it’s just me not being able to unsee it? I will say the lighting at night helps it blend a lot more :)
The new castle looks absolutely 'Magical' and I love it, can't wait to see it in person. My first trip to HK Disneyland was also in 2016 and last visited it during Christmas 2017 right before they started the transformation of the castle. Both trips were very memorable, loved the low crowds and in general it was such a comfortable park with some stand out attractions, my favorite being Mystic Manor. I'll probably visit again when they open the frozen extension.

Wow! I think when we went there 3 years ago, the castle was under construction. Whenever in HK, Disneyland is always a must to visit.... It's my favorite place.

Yeah! It was a clone from Disneyland since they did HKDL on the cheap when it was initially built. I’m glad to see it’s finally standing on it’s own after all these years!
