Got out and messed around with my Eagle Eye unit and was impressed. Simple plug and play with very minimal learning curve. My first live unit and it was easy to figure out images. Only missing touchscreen but once you get it set for your liking you don't have to worry about it too much.
Would the lack of the screen on forward facing sonar be picked up on a split screen with the down imaging? Like I can track my lure and the fish from one screen right to the boat?
This looks so damn good, I know Garmin will absolutely come up with some kind of a response to this but Lowrance seems to have knocked it out of the park. But there was one thing I absolutely hated and that was the triple split screen, that's the configuration I would want to use but I want the big box on top and the two small boxes on the bottom. Is the unit waterproof btw? If I mount it to a Kayak would I need to weather protect it?
I know it not the same unit but, I just bought the eagle 7 with a c-map discover chip and I can't figure out how to set up the custom depth shading. Any help?
Without the use of a “black box” what would be the recommended battery to use with this unit? Would a lithium battery be needed to run the live sonar for a full day?

You guys are always showing great products can you show us how to record sonar and export to computers not much out there for lowrance
Can the transducer be put on a hand pole or only on a trolling motor.

Just bought mine last night and interested to know this as well
Can you make it a single button to change it from forward view to down view?

It uses 650mA so a 10AH battery should run it for 10 or more hours depending on the battery type.
Ran off starter battery for 7 hours without issue but will eventually hook to dedicated power supply like I have my Garmins on
Will this unit do a split screen of forward and down scan?
