I loved the sweep and rise and feel of the stock OEM bars on my 2006 Ducati Monster 620, but I bent them in a crash and had to replace them. I did alot of research and spent a long long time looking for a new set of bars because I wanted the same feel. Decided instead of drilling the bars I will grind off the control tabs - and all seems to be working fine for the last few months. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

The zip tie trick to get the grips on is golden. Nice! Never thought of that or seen that one before. Thanks!!!
You're welcome. It's an old bicycle trick :)
Wrenching sounds are yoga in my ears!
Mine too - especially when it's nice out and you can work outside, in shorts :)
Ducati NYC Vlog I know.. :)
Great mod. I added clip ons to my Ducati S4RS and looks and rides much better. It gives it an amazing Cafe Racer look...
True, but the idea of riding 500 miles in a day with clip-ons sounds like HELL - with these its no problem :)
I use hairspray to install grips but will try this next time!
Def try it. Been doing it for years and it works fantastic.
Good stuff! No vibration since removing the bar end weights?
I never had bar end weights :) no vibrations
@@ducatinyc Good deal! Looks fresh!
Im thinking, do you drive it with the choke? I see you using it at the end of the video
Nope, I do not. Sometimes I forget to turn it off after warming up my bike or I use it if its extra cold/wet/weird out.
Hey man what brand mirrors are those that clip onto handle bars without bar ends
amzn.to/3hbtWHb there ya go
hey are these the grey handlebars and they just look like matte black or are they the black ones?
I ask because that black looks almost exactly like the black on my tank
Hi there, yep, they are black :)
Hey man what bf and mirrors are those that just clip onto handle bars without her ends
amzn.to/3hg4sbJ - these are the ones I use, they work well. Not sure what BF stands for?
I'm very good, doing the same service on your motorcycle is really cool. How many cylinders is your motorcycle?
It's 2 cycliders, aircooled, 620cc. Thank you for watching and for the comment!
Do I have to grind off those little bumps or will it still work without doing it?
You have to grind them off or it wont fit.
Wher can i get a cafe racer fairing for my Ducati sport classic I don't like the Paul smart body
Good question. I'd imagine check Ebay?
Do you work on your own bike? Do you run stock handlebars?
Running stock bars currently. Considering getting a rizoma bar though
RIZOMAd my monster 620 '03, wainting for new luimoto seat cover
Wrenching on my bike is almost as enjoyable as riding it. I’m currently running the Renthal ultra lows in gold and love em
yea it took me awhile to settle on the renthals - I LOVED the stock bars so so so much but wanted to try alum bars. Love these. Smart choice. And I can't wait until its warm again, I got a few little maintenance and mods I want to refresh but I need to not shiver when doing them.
What were the bars called? I tried a set of different bars and had trouble tightening everything up
These are the ones I got amzn.to/2NoJdIO
Bent in a crash? Oh, do tell. We're listening.
Oh, just got T-boned by a taxi and hit the ground at 40mph as my bike slid up onto the sidewalk, a few months ago, no one would be interested in that silly footage I got :P :P (will release soon)
Hello friend, on ducati monster 696, is this steering wheel suitable? And where can I buy it ?
It would be perfect. I got mine online, just look up renthal ultra low road bars.
@@ducatinyc I take it you haven't drilled any holes on the new steering wheel?
@@trapparty2792 i did not. I just removed the knobs. We call it handle bar 🙂🙌
@@ducatinyc Thanks, I get it
can I adapt different bars to my ducati monster 620? I mean you added an ultra low, can I use a low or medium bar instead or are there compatibility issues? (noob here)
Yep! Should not be a problem. The only issue I forsee is with your cables perhaps not being long enough if you rise your bars too high.
Funny, those are 100% exactly the bars I've had on mine.
Yep, now I remember. I didn't like them at very first, felt weird. But now I'm loving them.
yeah yours were angled down a bit more, those new ones should give you a slightly more upright position.@@ducatinyc
@@jenserwig1707 yea, after riding them for a few months - they are def the right move for these bikes.
Arrows on a handlebar clamps must be in oposite direction. RTFM :)
True. I deffinitely did not read a manual :)
When did this crash happen?
March of 2018. I just never shared aftermath or footage of it because I'm kind of in the wrong eventhough the cab ran a stop sign - but I will. It's time.

"Grind off the tabs".....is where I switched off. No idea this young fellow has.
I mean, you’re not wrong. But 20k miles later all is still fine 🤷♂️
this what i wanted to ask. no problem woth throttle or other things twisting when in use?
I always wanted a Ducati, can't make up my mind between a Monster or an XDiavel but I hate low bars ...... anyway things should be improved immeasurably once I fit some ape-hangers !
Those are 2 very different puppies. Hard decision. I got riser bars so its fine for me to go any distance.
@@ducatinyc Yes the two bikes are different, I like the belt drive and the forward pegs on the diavel would have to go..... both bikes can be fitted with higher bars though. It's just a case of extending wires, hoses etc etc.... No problem for a man of my capabilities ! I think apes would look good on either bike - I have back problems and always fit apes.
Many Informationen my dude maybe i will donate you the 1$ for Nürburgring
Haha! I knew my pitch would work :)
