After looking for places to bring a mountain bike up into the alpine, I saw Molybdenite Lake near Lillooet on a map, and that's where the adventure starts. High ridges and peaks flanked our ascent above the treeline and alpine lakes made for an unbelievably beautiful backdrop. The hike-a-bike effort was worth it!
    Thanks for watching!

Beautiful spot. I grew up in Lillooet. We would skip class to go up here once in a while.

Sweet. I'd like to go 4x4ing up there one day to ride down. Upper della creek is also near there. thats a big alpine, you can drive up to 1200 meters then hike up. I think at 4:19 that ridge line is upper della. south chilcotins is good too.

Ya, if I had more time I would have checked out Upper Della, and hopefully next summer I'll get into the south Chilcotins too

I got a question: For bike trips like the ones you've done, would you recommend a full suspension over a hardtail, or would it not matter would you say? I like the less maintenance with a hardtail but I can imagine all the rough terrain might skew things towards full sus.
    Thanks!

Good question Saunam, for the biking I prefer to do, I choose a full suspension. There's positives and negatives for both

If you like this i think you should maybe look into doing the ride from d'arcy to seton portage at seton portage there is a camp ground and a river runs behind the camp, you walk up the path you can find the big pool, above the pool there are some sharp cliffs. they would repel down the face and grab buckets of gravel to gold mine. then you can up to gold bridge where there used to be a mining camp. the lakes and views in this area are immense, if you want some more information regarding the place and around it i know a fair amount since i have a cabin at seton portage. if you are interested i can give you some directions to all the little back roads, there are still dug outs from 15000 years ago from the natives, they found remains from 50000 years ago. tons of history that can be explored, my twitter is twitter.com/synatrabeatz feel free to dm me with any questions you have regarding the area! much love.

Thanks David, I've been looking at Seton Portage on a map and it's a place I've liked to go for a while now, hopefully soon

Do you ever have any scary encounters with bears or wolves? Does that even cross your mind at all or do you carry any form of protection?

I carry bear spray when in bear country, and actually just two days ago encountered a grizzly on the trail which was very exciting. I yelled and Nina barked and I had my spray ready, but the bear headed down a creek away from us and we avoided a confrontation. I was ready to see the bear though.
