Karina, the fit is amazing on the tank and dress. For a knit dress / tank, you look great (above the usual normal great). I can see the potential using this pattern as the base pattern, with different necklines, sleeves, color blocking, stripe playing, etc. What I have learned from you is starting to sink in 😂❤

I was going to pass on this pattern until I watched your video. Thanks for the Discount Code. Also, I really appreciate your suggestions on hand basting. I used to hand baste when I was a kid. It seems all patterns way back then suggested doing so. I have started hand basting again and it has really saved me so much time in the end not having to rip out and start over when things didn't match. This is a great video that sells the pattern and I hope Love Notions appreciates that. I would have passed it over. P.S., I love your snakeskin fabric too!
Im glad my video was helpful. My mum didn’t teach me to sew but one thing she did know: hand basting. She told me I had to do that lol. I never stopped and can’t fathom not doing it.

I do have a pool out there. The water is currently 7°C 🥶 I won’t be using my clearwaters for several months either!

Fabulous! I’ve been wanting a shorties/tankini swim suit combo for ages, and this is all the motivation I’ve needed. Plus I wear shorties all the time under skirts and dresses and at home so it’s about time I made my own!

Lovely swim sets Karina (and Love Notions), I especially like the green set. I love the built in bra, but unfortunately it's not for me, I need sleeves for sun protection.
In the future, I’ll make a version where I’ll add the sleeves of the willow wrap dress. I’ve transferred that armhole/sleeves to the summer basics tank and it’s the same thing :)
They all look great on you. Even though the one you didn’t pattern match has the diamonds in the underbust there are still two white spots that are close to your apex. Just wanted you to be aware. Great video.

The birds sure were noisy when you recorded this, LOL! We have parakeets in our house and I know how noisy they can be! Of course, all of your makes look awesome on you. I was debating on buying this pattern now and I think I will. It is very versatile, even if I don't plan on swimming any time soon!

Hello Karina - quick question on the straps if you please. Did you lengthen them at all? Like you, I will need to add the inch as I am tall (5'9") but holding the paper pattern up to me after folding the seam allowance at the shoulder seems like they will be quite short. Wondering if you also add any length to the straps due to your height? Thank you. P.S. Love your makes! So appreciate all that you do on this channel. :-)
I always mention my adjustments so if I did not mention making the straps longer, I didn’t. Taking the paper pattern up close to you is not too useful with knits. Remember the fabric will also have vertical stretch. I wouldn’t make them longer just because.

I cut it the same. The one I used is nice and firm and I don’t see the need to cut it smaller.
Hi. I just purchased the Clearwater summer essentials and summer basic tank and dress (thank you for the 10% off). I didn't realize they need to be printed out. I do not have a printer or know how to get the patterns out of my email. How do you get this to a printing place and is it very expensive to have them print it? Can you do a video on this, please? Have a nice day.
Hi Rose. The website does state they are digital projects and not a printed pattern. I suggest you ask in the Love Notions Facebook group as you can get local copy shop printers recommendations according to where you live. I live in Brazil and in my context, I print at home and don’t have a place to print the large A0 formats.
