First time I’ve seen this game, looks neat and nice cast. Honestly it was GG as soon as red got units into the heart of Blue’s base and wiped out almost half of his wind 😅
Very interesting map for 1v1. Thank you for the cast. I think the size of the maps played for 1v1 give a large defenders advantage as the attacker just has such a long way to travel with fresh units. I think these matches would play out a lot differently if played on smaller maps. I often see top level players going with lots of constructors early on and still wining, while the person going on the offensive at first, despite doing damage, loses.
indeed, ive noticed this alot too. The matches you see on the channel are slightly biased to larger maps though as they tend to go on for longer. some of the pro matches last for 7 mins and are done straight away when someone cant defend an early raid. no one would wanna watch that though :D
@@Requiem_tvHi and thanks for the reply. You could edit a few of those shorter ones together and analyze what could have been done differently to prevent the early loss.
The reason Sashkorin chooses not to go for early geo is that Armada wind turbines, at 37m per piece, are just so damn efficient on this map. The trade off is you gotta be prepared to defend the much wider area that the wind farm covers, which proved to be his downfall here vs that tiger push
@@timoschofer2035 Probably , but I have never had the chance to play the original TA. I do remember this map was not included in the bundle of official maps both in Vanilla and Forged Alliance, but was mentioned as custom. I guess everyone with their experience . For me it is a SupCom map, even though it maybe TA in the first place. That said you may know better. So I am asking , is Blodir an original TA player too? Because I remember him as SupCom player as ancient as the ancient ruins.
This map is not a vanilla SupCom map. It was originally in Total Annihilation and then, far as I'm aware, all of the maps were ported to the Spring engine which had a variety of different mods including balance and total conversion mods. Both BAR and Zero-K came into existence due to the creation of the Spring engine. The map, however was imported into SupCom just as it was imported into Spring and BAR (as well as Zero-K if memory serves). Custom maps were not vanilla maps but rather user-created content which this map was included. Many of the original TA maps were added to SupCom and you may have seen it there first but make no mistake that does not make it a SupCom map. That said, I don't know if Blodir played TA or any of the versions of TA within the Spring engine, but I know he's a very well known player in SupCom. It's entirely possible he did, however, as *MANY* of the old legends that played SupCom on the regular played Spring or came from TA itself. TAG Rock for example, and anyone else with the TAG clan title since that was clan from the days of TA, something I, sadly, was not able to participate in.
Ty for the newb friendly casting !
no problem, if you ever not sure of something that i say, just pop a comment and ill try and explain
Best commentator, relaxed counter to a stressful game :)
I love your cast ❤. Keep on going. I wish you good luck in getting new subscribers.
Thanks :) would love to make it to 3 k by new year, heres fingers crossed
Love cold place, such a classic and different to most other maps. Great cast as always.

I remember when I tried the original Cerberus for TA. The ARM counter was this huge Gauss gun one could only built on metal patches.
Thats could actually be interesting and change the meta on bar instantly

Thats a good idea!
I have some time comming up soon with Barcast to do some co-casts so maybe these short 1v1s could be the time to do it
@@Requiem_tv Can't wait to watch!
Thanks again for an excellent cast! Really enjoying the content output :)

I seem to remember playing on this map on TA when it first came out, that was a long time ago though maybe remembering wrong
You are right.
It could be very useful to have a bit of analysis of the whys during the game
I'm from the original 20% 😏
That's a port from supcom. As many maps are. I have had nice memories in this map. I wonder how it would play in BAR TA.
IIRC the original of that map is from original TA from 1997
