Obviously nobody plays a 100% perfect game and I am a novice but was wondering why build energy storage early when you could have built an energy converter - more metal is nearly always better if you can make it in the early game? And while you are clearly talking while gaming it was pretty clear you could have wiped them out considerably sooner with a little more aggression, right? But some good tips in there regardless...

I am wondering why players rarely build walls. For example at 5:15 BCTV could put walls along the central ramp entrance and LLTs behind it. Would that not effectively defend that ramp island from small T1 tank raid attempts?

You say gremlins 'don't do a lot of damage'. But if you check their stats they actually have really high burst damage. It's just the reload that brings down the dps. And even then the dps is comparable to a stout or janus.

Man... That ending was wild, but really uncharacteristic blunders all over the early game by BCTV. The radar and LLT issues were basically just chronic bad habits springing up left and right. I feel like it's something low OS players have to learn early, not to just plop an LLT down right where the constructor is, if an optimal position is like 2 seconds travel time away. He lost 8+ minutes of eco from just that greed/laziness

A couple of points here. With Wind at 30, 3 x Winds gives 90 energy compared to 75 from adv solar. They also cost less resources and build-time to produce. I've also found that the surest way to win is to use Whirlwind gunships to surround the enemy Com. My best so far is 10:27, which I think can be improved.

every game you cast 1v1 I always notice the winning player just sits at 75% map control and expects a gg to come through. Zlo could've won this so much faster!

The other view is great if it would be segregated by a green line that'd be even better

8:00: What actually counts for the AV calculation? Centurions are clearly not worth 3.5k metal :P (and in fact the game showed 540 value). In fact, it looks to me like the commander counts for 2.7k value (if you check at game start before they make anything), so the remainder is probably made up by the 3 centurions. Not sure where the extra comes from, probably rounding or some pawn somewhere. I think an eco-value calculation would be a neat value to have, just sum up every non-military unit/building value to give a very quick and dirty comparison of invested capital in economy. Great game, no way I would have picked xfactor to win after that early game, seemed like Zlo had it nailed, especially after the bomber attack too. Seems like xfactor managed to take good fights and reclaim a lot to make up for the early game deficits, I guess?

Did you have any luck playing this again more recently? Would love to see an update on this.

For too long people have been sleeping on banshee. Just wait till they work out a use for twilights. Then more people will not think I'm a tryhard for only playing cortex. I just like the commando guys!

It's rough seeing these people stalling in APM early in the game with all those grunts that could have done lots of dmg. The higher skill and apm stalls that early is brutal. Great game though and still better than me. BAR is really a good game wish we had more pros or just people in general. Ready for a steam drop lol.

Great game, every time a see a notification from about a new video on your channel it makes me feel so good

Frustrating to see the tank deathballs. It's pretty much never good to death ball when almost everything AOEs (and of course commander Dguns...), not to mention flanking damage.

Interesting to see different types of skill play out against eachother, but I'm curious as to how these two would perform working together as a team. One providing up front D-Gun and initial harassment, the other following up with better eco and sustained harassment.

14:00: How does the game go for another 20 minutes, I wonder... 15:00: Does AP get screwed by a counterbombing run? No AA, no air lab after bombing 20:00: Don't understand AP's army attitude. He was pushing forward most of the game but is suddenly very reluctant to push. I guess trying to avoid throwing... but still, seems like a negative move on average after getting so much value from a bombing run. When the units are so clumped up it feels like that's a signal to widen the front and push everywhere and make them have it. These T1 deathballs kind of suck because of AOE. Also surprised no T2 as you say. 24:00 The little withdrawals by AP around Blodir's base are hard to follow. There's a big choke right in front of the base that you can concave around, I would prefer to stand off there if I could and just choke him off. 27:00 - So timid, getting pushed into a choke by AOE by a single tzar - why not take some space in a line instead of deathballing? Obviously it all worked out, and clealy AP's plan was to hold and continue harassing the base... but still, it actually seems riskier to me to give the opponent space to breathe than to keep up the pressure and forcing them to have it every time.

That kind background music. It's always nice to hear. I follow a MechWarrior channel that does that as well.
