Fantastic drink. The cranberry juice balances out the sweetness of both the Malibu and the pineapple juice. Simple and tasty to boot!
I'm glad you like it :)
love your set up, great shots and music is sweet too
Thank you very much.
My absolute favorite drink. I'm glad I got a good clear "How to" video because I haven't drank really in a while and it is my "go to" for flavor
I'm glad it helped!
oh my god the shots of the liquid hitting the ice..... its a masterpiece
Thank you very much. Is there anything you would like me to make in a video?
Another one for the backyarder series! There's just something about pineapple as a summer mixer, cant beat it! Thanks David.
Your welcome. Hope you like it!
Great video David. I'm going with option #1. I love cranberry and malibu. This is called "the wife catcher". 60 mil malibu, 30 mil light rum, 60 mil OJ, 60 mil pineapple juice, built into large snifter filled with ice, stirred 5 seconds, 30mil Grand Marnier floated on top. Cherry and orange slice garnish....
This sounds interesting. Would you like me to get this into a video for you?
@@boozeontherocks Sure, I think it is a good summertime drink that people might like...
So be it. Lets get it done!
@@boozeontherocks Yes sir!!!
Never heard of this drink before. But you make it look so easy to make. I will definitely make it. Thanks!
My pleasure 😊I hope you like it.
Absolute classic! Cheers David!
That it is, thanks Sam.
Making the cocktail 2 different ways. Great job my friend.
Thank you very Much!
I think it's a great idea with Grenadine for a mocktail while the regular recipe without for traditional flavor. Great video and explaining the science in regards to the layering of the liquids.
Your welcome.
This is one of my favorite drinks! Thanks so much for making this video. Amaretto sours are my next fav 😋
Thank you, These are great. The Amaretto Sour is really good too.
Can't go wrong with an ice cold fruity classic!
Loved it. Tried making it yesterday and could not see the layers.. now I know why.thanks heaps
My favorite seaday cruise drink
It is quite good.
Looks perfect for the weather we're having right now. Great work!
Thank you very much Tim.
Ain't that the truth! Plus Coconut just screams beach/pool
Nice job
The first one is for me
awesome, I'm glad you liked it.
I have tried so many different cranberry brands and rums and thank you for giving me answers. My cranberry malibu never looks as red as in bars lol
I'm glad I was able to help. Alot of bars and restaurants will use some grenadine.
THX from Czech Republic
Your welcome, its great to have you here!
I think as well the 2oz cranberry would be my choice but before I would add the pineapple I would stir it first then add the juice. Lovve it 😊
I agree
Wow that looks good! I was expecting the second version you you end up with the Malibu and try to get 3 more distinctive layers. Great video anyways. Enjoy the weekend!
Thank you. I was trying to get it really close to What Malibu does. I have since figured it out.
Nice one Dave. Love the drink. I'll message you later about products.
Thank you. The drink is really good. Look forward to it.!
Tasty!
Its really good!
Trickery!
You got that right!
I don't like pina coladas or getting caught in the rain, but I might try this.
These are actually very tasty
paused after 15 seconds. The difference is the lime wheel 😉 [EDIT] after watching the entire video. I Believe we are not mentioning the cocktail mingling with the coffee liqueur... I do hate marketing photography totally make up the cocktail and those at home are left disappointed there's does not "look" the same. As for the original I do enjoy it on hot days. Great Job!
Thank you I'm glad you liked it. and yes It's the Lime wheel.
literally me on the first day at job
Definitely.
since i have 2 kind of juices in it, i like to shake it just to force the juices to combine..plus the pineapple shaken creates this nice foamy texture on top! ;)
I love a good shaken Pineapple cocktail. It works so wwell and the foam!!
@@boozeontherocks indeed!
The Drink Looks Amazing Dave. You sure are getting the use out of that Cranberry Juice. 😂
Thank you. I do try, the cranberry juice is definitely tasty.
❤️👍
Thank you.
I make mine with cranberyy juice, pineapple juice and orange juice. And I put Vodka in it. I know its not good to mix Vodka and Rum but if you're just having 2 drinks, you can go for it.
You can mix both if you wish to bump up the abv and it will blend well with the flavors. Or you could add another white rum.
Love that idea, sounds like a "Malibu Bay Storm" and dangerous 😵💫🥴
🙋♂️👍👍👍👍 very good
Thank you 👍
AWWWWW THANKS YOU GOODNESS 🌟❤️🖤💚🤎 FAMILY DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS 💜 AWESOME MALIBU BAY BREEZE,
Your welcome. I'm glad you liked it.
Can't go wrong with coconuts, pineapple for the summer! 😋
Love it as always. Your video quality has been amazing since the very start. Are you a photographer or something like that?
Thank you. No I wish I was, I just keep going until I get what I am looking for. My wife took pity on me and does the thumbnails for me now.
@@boozeontherocks tell your wife she's doing an amazing job :)
@@jimscbt6441 I will.
...2 oz. from gallon jug ... np ... smooth ... say you could have used that extra cherry juice too ... I’ll go for the first one and a white sands beach ...
Your right I could have gone with the cherry juice. And the beach sounds good right now.
Def going to make these ! they look delicious. Can you make a video for "Lazy Red Cheeks"? Its a very popular cocktail lately here in Belgium.
Let see what I can do.
I wonder if you put 1.5oz of cran and .5 of grenadine, would it be closer tasting to the first cocktail.
That would be worth trying,.
Great drink and video! Was wondering if you’re using cranberry juice cocktail, or pure cranberry juice?
I used pure cranberry juice but you could use either depending on your preferences.
He is really cool and sympathetic.. I love alcohol 😂
Thank you.
Do the over the second cocktail but shake the pineapple juice with ice to break down the thickness
That is a great idea, thank you.
I wonder if you could produce Mocktail versions of the cocktails, something for example that substitutes the Malibu coconut rum. Don't get me wrong, I love the real boozy ones but I have myreasons...
You could use some coconut water but it will not be as sweet a cocktail. But you can adjust that how ever you want.
Waaaait a min, did you secretly took a sip after the grenadine one? Cause it almost tipped over during the poor :D
Possibly.....
About the Malibu rum; is it the plain one? Or coconut flavored?
Yes it is the Malibu Coconut.
Where are you based that you can't get Malibu? You trip over the stuff in the UK we love our Malibu 😂
Courtney,, i am based in Ontario, Canada. At the time of filming everything was sold out and there was no expected delivery date. The good thing is now we have it in stock again.
@@boozeontherocks glad to hear it 🙂 think I will be making a Malibu bay breeze myself this weekend. 👍
@@Courtneyburns90 That sounds like a good plan 🙂
@@Courtneyburns90 Bet those are going down really easy now with this hot weather we're having!
Malibu rum… is it the coconut flavor? Or just plain rum?
Yes it is the Malibu Coconut.
Commercial point view, do you think i can mix all these in my slush machine?
Yes you could, You might need to adjust the sugar levels to get it to the right place though. If you do it. Let me know how it turns out for you.
Further to David's point, I'd add just a bit of water to it. Since you're using the slush machine you're not getting the same dilution you'd get from shaking the cocktail, so you'll need just a bit of water to help open up the flavors
What's the name of that glass?
Its a goblet, technicaly a Brandy snifter.
@@boozeontherocks how many ounces is that glass, 9 or 12?
@@djpat5998 I'm its a 12 oz
No grenadine for me!
I agree.
