As a Black man, I am now at the multicultural fellowship because the churches in the Black community are terrible. The truth is not there. Mr. Johnson told the truth that we should help our fellow brothers and sisters, orphans, poor, elderly and the Great Commission. All New Testament duties that Black preachers don't teach. But preach tithing every Sunday that Jesus got rid of. It's about big buildings and feeling important and so called tradition of being there over 2 hours and you feel drained when you leave. Mrs. Dina, the real men who believe in God left because of the lies, pimping, and the attempt of men being emasculated by so called pastors

I'm Jamaican and I almost went to Rastafarianism because of these things when I was younger. Thankfully - God by His Spirit showed me the truth and told me to keep focused on Him and not man. The arm of flesh will always fail. The apostles wrote about these things in the epistles.

It is NOT necessary for you to make a "not just" argument. If Alton said this was ONLY happening in the Black church then there would be a need to point out that it is not just the Black church. This message is for Black people about the houses of worship they attend and how the Black people leading these churches are leading people away from GOD not to HIM. One of the things about social media that cripples Black people and prevents us from rising out of mental, spiritual, and financial condition is once someone comes along with truth to try to lead us to the truth somebody has to chime in with a "not all", "not always", or "not just" argument. As people WE have to stop having a problem with the rules. Whenever someone says this is what is happening as a rule... the first thing too many Black people do is try to find an exception to the rule... we don't want to follow rules so we have a visceral reaction whenever someone points out a general rule... if we are going to rise up out of our condition... we have to govern our lives by the rules... NOT the exception... Yes, it's NOT just the Black church... but OTHER churches by in large are NOT damaging our communities mentally, spiritually, and financially.
It's not just the black church. Our counterparts have BEEN playing secular music in their services for decades. This mess here is what happens when the church feels the need to cater to these millennials. The lie is the church needs to be relevant to them rather than them becoming relevant to the Word. The church as a whole is sick. Our people don't know how to be disciplined enough to sit down and study and take notes. Too many want to shout rather than learn, sell fish rather than be discipled..

The Greek that was translated 'church' is the word 'Ekklesia' which comes from two Greek words 'Ek' meaning 'out' and 'Kaleo' which means 'to call', thus giving 'to call out' or 'those that were 'called out'. Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you The word never meant a building or a meeting place or even a place where people came to worship. The fact that you repeatedly refer to 'The Black Church' is in itself an indictment of error and guilt. The body of believers that were 'called out' and truly 'came out' was never and should never have a color or race description because that is in itself division and there is no division in The Word of The Most High, no division in The Truth, no division of Abba Yah's holy people. You either are or you are not. This Gentile word 'Ekklesia' clearly applied to those that 'came out' of the spiritual darkness of paganism and idolatry and man made traditions of The Gentiles and all those that were 'reckoned' with them. Can't we take two hours out of the week and keep it SOLELY for GOD?! As good as he's been to us, we can't give him that? 🤔 Heck. It should be more than the two hours we mentioned.

When it was time to give offering, they would dim the lights, start a musical production, feature a spotlight on this one individual with a microphone who states that when you swipe your credit/debit card; you are swiping your card in the name of the lord! They actually had an atm machine! Unbelievable!

Foolishness in the Black church! You are so very on target, Sir. Listen, I waited a long time to be able to teach at my church. The day finally came. I lifted up the Holy Spirit to His highest heights. The members who were present said they were inspired. A couple of days later, the Director of Christian Education said that my being allowed to teach was a mistake. I was so hurt!!!!!! Now check this out. One day during Bible study, the Pastor was making remarks against my teaching. Suddenly the wind, blew the door open. Then the wind violently shut the door. It was as if God's Holy Spirit left. The church membership was already getting low, but after that it got worse. Our church once had a 1000+ members. As time passed membership fell. But after the incident with the door, membership fell to around 50 members. When will self-lifting pastors learn that Almighty God does not PLAY? The pastor who thinks he cleverly put me in my place, was actually speaking AGAINST The Holy Spirit. The Black Church has to be careful. They follow the pastor, not God. I left the church. I will not and cannot follow a pastor who rebukes and rejects the teaching of The Holy Ghost. Pastor Emeritus, God is not pleased! Not at all. The Holy God will have His day of reckoning with you. Hello iris, you speak from the heart and I share the sentiment. I am going through the same thing in my church and I am ready to leave. My husband likes it and wants to stay. The constant asking for money is a bit much. I can’t give 10% if I don’t have 10%. Then there is offering, building fund, mission fund, w extra offering when a guest speaker comes, who by the way is always selling something that members are roped into buying. Concert tickets, help the less fortunate sister out, pastors birthday, pastors month. How much of my pay check will I have left if I give to all these things. I don’t. You appear well versed in the Bible, help me to have. Better understanding of tithing. I read Malachi 3:10

My wife and I was simply doing a traditional holy dance like in psalms 151 tells us to do, but we were approached as being out of order, but earlier in the service the same ones was doing the hustle during praise and worship. Very very vexing. That's why my family and I are outreach now, taking the temple to the ppl now with unadulterated word of God. People we are the church not the building.

I think regular gospel music of today would sound more like secular music 30 years ago. What is seen here is probably the exception than what normally goes on in the churches.
Amen Brother, if we lived in Atlanta would love to be involved with your family for a house service. My family has lived in Las Vegas for 5 years and we are yet to find a church that does not have false doctrine, is dry or has rock concerts disguised as worship music.

That said I'm going to give you a rebuke, but first of all let me give you a little story and some of my testimony: I was saved early in the January of 2014, about 3 1/2 years ago. I was not saved in a church service I was saved by the reading of the scriptures, alone with God. When I got back to town (I lived in Sydney, Australia, a city of 5 million) I bought a Bible from a secular bookstore and read it every day from then. Directly the Lord worked on my heart to find a church; you cannot read the scriptures very long with a desire to do what you read and avoid Church and corporate worship - There will be a strong desire for fellowship with the brethren, and to be used to edify, comfort, exhort, etc. So I went to the closest church, an Anglican church - I had enough conviction by then to say so help me God, if there's a woman preacher, or they criticize the Bible I'll walk out right there. I knew enough by then to know that much. - I attended that church as a Baptist for 9 months until the worldliness and spiritual and doctrinal compromise disgusted me into finding another church. I then attended an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church, I looked it up on a church directory. I was baptized there in Dec. 21, 2014. I was discipled there, by July 2015 I surrendered to preach. I quit my job, half-way through my 4 year apprenticeship and went to a small non-accredited Bible College after receiving a message on Lk. 9:57-62. (Let the dead bury their dead,: but go thou and preach the Kingdom of God). I attended this Bible College in order to prepare for the ministry, I went there because they were right and without compromise. I attended full-time from 2016 to July 2017, I quit because my Pastor (who is the Principal of the College) refused to deal with sin in the church and required personal loyalty over and above the Word of God - My loyalty is first to Christ, he would not deal with sin scripturally and he made no attempt to convince me by the Word of God, only requiring I submit in an unscriptural capacity. So I quit the church in July. Why am I telling you this? I live in Australia, we do not have very much biblical christianity, 7-9% of the pop. attends church fortnightly, half of that is Catholic. There are around 30 churches with which I would have some fellowship in Sydney, and yet they have their problems also. It has been the sure will of God for me to drive 2 1/2 to 3 hours to a country town of 40,000 people to attend church. There are maybe 30 people who attend the church, but the church and the preacher is in the will of God. So I have been travelling to Church every Saturday or Sunday, spending the day with the Pastor and his family and driving the 120 miles back Sunday night. I guarantee you that you can find a decent Church within 3hrs drive of Las Vegas, to be out of church for 5 years is not a testimony to the apostasy of American Christianity but also to a lack of desire on your part. May God bless you and give you an earnest desire to seek Him and be found in His will. God did not save you to serve you, but that you might serve others.

There are plenty of folks that have left the church for various reasons, but MANY, have heard the call of the Almighty to come out of Her (Babylon). Babylon, is NOT JUST the world system, it is also Her ungodly institutions of worship and this video proves it! The Church, has taken a Lover, Baal or Babylon or Egypt, depending on the age. The FACT that one may leave the church is between that person and The Almighty. I know that I had been called out of the congregation I was involved with about the same time as you but my love of Yeshua only increased. I know, with all that is in me, that I would not have gained the insight and revelation of the ONE TRUE ELOHIM OR HIS GOSPEL had I stayed, where He couldn't come in, The Church, because of It's UNRIGHTEOUSNESS! I also homechool my children because the public schools have also become ungodly institutions. I watch/listen to sermons from Pastors online that I know are preaching the word and leading them to Christ. God has taught me so much already! God Bless

Thank you for being a messenger for the Lord regarding the overall direction of the Church today. As you address the Black Church, I have been quite concerned about contemporary Christianity and where it is going today. I go to a fundamentalist Baptist KJV Church in Michigan; in the last 5 years has been my biggest spiritual growth in my 34 years of being a Christian. Keep fighting for the faith.
What you are saying is true my brother. We need this kind of ministry, a ministry to put back God in the body, not the pastors; but God. It greaves my spirit to see the way the house of God is being run and operated. Instead of Gods people being pushed to God, they are being pull towards the pastors. I immediately thought about God telling Israel not to do what the heathens do, and then seeing them taken into captivity by the heathens because of their whoredom. It's like God was saying, "Since this is what you want to do, I'm going to let you do it, but you will be under their rule instead of Mine since you'd rather follow them." Hmmm. When will we learn? And they didn't have a book to follow like we do (The Bible).

There was a time when there was a hard line between the things that are holy and unholy. That line has been eradicated in the name of church “progression” and it has affected more than just the black church.

When I used to served the Lord back in the 80s and 90s this was, as you mentioned, unheard of. Even in the hispanic, latino Pentecostal churches this is becoming a plague. God have mercy on us!

I like my church but there is one thing that is unsettling. When it's time to tithe the pastor says "everyone got your gift? Hold it up hold your gift up"(then he pauses looks at everyone then continues) he says and does this every Sunday like why do we need to hold our money up ?

It is NOT necessary for you to make a "not just" argument. If Alton said this was ONLY happening in the Black church then there would be a need to point out that it is not just the Black church. This message is for Black people about the houses of worship they attend and how the Black people leading these churches are leading people away from GOD not to HIM.
One of the things about social media that cripples Black people and prevents us from rising out of mental, spiritual, and financial condition is once someone comes along with truth to try to lead us to the truth somebody has to chime in with a "not all", "not always", or "not just" argument.

My brother, that which you are calling 'the church' is in itself a deception. The Greek that was translated 'church' is the word 'Ekklesia' which comes from two Greek words 'Ek' meaning 'out' and 'Kaleo' which means 'to call', thus giving 'to call out' or 'those that were 'called out'.
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you
The word never meant a building or a meeting place or even a place where people came to worship. The fact that you repeatedly refer to 'The Black Church' is in itself an indictment of error and guilt. The body of believers that were 'called out' and truly 'came out' was never and should never have a color or race description because that is in itself division and there is no division in The Word of The Most High, no division in The Truth, no division of Abba Yah's holy people.
You either are or you are not.
This Gentile word 'Ekklesia' clearly applied to those that 'came out' of the spiritual darkness of paganism and idolatry and man made traditions of The Gentiles and all those that were 'reckoned' with them.

I once attended a "(synnogogue of satan)"church in east Flatbush, Brooklyn back in 2008. When it was time to give offering, they would dim the lights, start a musical production, feature a spotlight on this one individual with a microphone who states that when you swipe your credit/debit card; you are swiping your card in the name of the lord! They actually had an atm machine! Unbelievable!
I think people are also leaving the church because the truth is not in them. Many people are seeking truth and realize something is wrong with the doctrine being thought in these churches. We shall know them by their fruits.

Listen, I waited a long time to be able to teach at my church. The day finally came. I lifted up the Holy Spirit to His highest heights. The members who were present said they were inspired. A couple of days later, the Director of Christian Education said that my being allowed to teach was a mistake. I was so hurt!!!!!! Now check this out. One day during Bible study, the Pastor was making remarks against my teaching. Suddenly the wind, blew the door open. Then the wind violently shut the door. It was as if God's Holy Spirit left. The church membership was already getting low, but after that it got worse. Our church once had a 1000+ members. As time passed membership fell. But after the incident with the door, membership fell to around 50 members.
When will self-lifting pastors learn that Almighty God does not PLAY? The pastor who thinks he cleverly put me in my place, was actually speaking AGAINST The Holy Spirit. The Black Church has to be careful. They follow the pastor, not God.
I left the church. I will not and cannot follow a pastor who rebukes and rejects the teaching of The Holy Ghost.

Hello iris, you speak from the heart and I share the sentiment. I am going through the same thing in my church and I am ready to leave. My husband likes it and wants to stay. The constant asking for money is a bit much. I can’t give 10% if I don’t have 10%. Then there is offering, building fund, mission fund, w extra offering when a guest speaker comes, who by the way is always selling something that members are roped into buying. Concert tickets, help the less fortunate sister out, pastors birthday, pastors month. How much of my pay check will I have left if I give to all these things. I don’t. You appear well versed in the Bible, help me to have. Better understanding of tithing. I read Malachi 3:10

That said I'm going to give you a rebuke, but first of all let me give you a little story and some of my testimony:
I was saved early in the January of 2014, about 3 1/2 years ago. I was not saved in a church service I was saved by the reading of the scriptures, alone with God. When I got back to town (I lived in Sydney, Australia, a city of 5 million) I bought a Bible from a secular bookstore and read it every day from then.
Directly the Lord worked on my heart to find a church; you cannot read the scriptures very long with a desire to do what you read and avoid Church and corporate worship - There will be a strong desire for fellowship with the brethren, and to be used to edify, comfort, exhort, etc.
So I went to the closest church, an Anglican church - I had enough conviction by then to say so help me God, if there's a woman preacher, or they criticize the Bible I'll walk out right there.
I knew enough by then to know that much. - I attended that church as a Baptist for 9 months until the worldliness and spiritual and doctrinal compromise disgusted me into finding another church.
I then attended an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church, I looked it up on a church directory.
I was baptized there in Dec. 21, 2014. I was discipled there, by July 2015 I surrendered to preach. I quit my job, half-way through my 4 year apprenticeship and went to a small non-accredited Bible College after receiving a message on Lk. 9:57-62. (Let the dead bury their dead,: but go thou and preach the Kingdom of God).
I attended this Bible College in order to prepare for the ministry, I went there because they were right and without compromise. I attended full-time from 2016 to July 2017, I quit because my Pastor (who is the Principal of the College) refused to deal with sin in the church and required personal loyalty over and above the Word of God - My loyalty is first to Christ, he would not deal with sin scripturally and he made no attempt to convince me by the Word of God, only requiring I submit in an unscriptural capacity.
So I quit the church in July. Why am I telling you this?
I live in Australia, we do not have very much biblical christianity, 7-9% of the pop. attends church fortnightly, half of that is Catholic.
There are around 30 churches with which I would have some fellowship in Sydney, and yet they have their problems also.
It has been the sure will of God for me to drive 2 1/2 to 3 hours to a country town of 40,000 people to attend church.
There are maybe 30 people who attend the church, but the church and the preacher is in the will of God.
So I have been travelling to Church every Saturday or Sunday, spending the day with the Pastor and his family and driving the 120 miles back Sunday night.
I guarantee you that you can find a decent Church within 3hrs drive of Las Vegas, to be out of church for 5 years is not a testimony to the apostasy of American Christianity but also to a lack of desire on your part.
May God bless you and give you an earnest desire to seek Him and be found in His will.

There are plenty of folks that have left the church for various reasons, but MANY, have heard the call of the Almighty to come out of Her (Babylon). Babylon, is NOT JUST the world system, it is also Her ungodly institutions of worship and this video proves it!
The Church, has taken a Lover, Baal or Babylon or Egypt, depending on the age. The FACT that one may leave the church is between that person and The Almighty. I know that I had been called out of the congregation I was involved with about the same time as you but my love of Yeshua only increased.
I know, with all that is in me, that I would not have gained the insight and revelation of the ONE TRUE ELOHIM OR HIS GOSPEL had I stayed, where He couldn't come in, The Church, because of It's UNRIGHTEOUSNESS! The leading of the Holy Spirit has put me on the path of KNOWING HIM. So, my sister, DO NOT FEEL GUILTY OR ALONE......The Spirit of Elohim (God) IS within you and He teaches you ALL things of Adonai! Thank you sister for your encouraging words. I know I often feel alone and guilty for not having fellowship especially for my children. We do have bible study at home together. I also homechool my children because the public schools have also become ungodly institutions. I watch/listen to sermons from Pastors online that I know are preaching the word and leading them to Christ. God has taught me so much already! God Bless

Thank you for being a messenger for the Lord regarding the overall direction of the Church today. As you address the Black Church, I have been quite concerned about contemporary Christianity and where it is going today. I go to a fundamentalist Baptist KJV Church in Michigan; in the last 5 years has been my biggest spiritual growth in my 34 years of being a Christian. Keep fighting for the faith.

I immediately thought about God telling Israel not to do what the heathens do, and then seeing them taken into captivity by the heathens because of their whoredom. It's like God was saying, "Since this is what you want to do, I'm going to let you do it, but you will be under their rule instead of Mine since you'd rather follow them." Hmmm. When will we learn? Although we are the complete opposite physically, myself being a white woman and you a black man we agree and have the same thoughts on this topic. It is so true that before God we are all the same because he does not see race and division like the world does. When His Holy Spirit reveals His truth to His children we cannot help but to be in agreement and it is truly a beautiful thing. Ms. San Hey, doesn't the new testament say there is no Jew or gentile, slave or free, Greek or Roman? First, there's no proof of Hebrew anything. Second, the new covenant did away with that. Jesus didn't go to the cross for Hebrews. He went to the cross for everyone. No one is special, all are equal in the eyes of God. All you with this Hebrew stuff are going to get judged harshly on your making yourselves out as better than others. Personally, I'm hoping that on the day of judgement, God sets all the braggy, "betta than you Hebrews" in front of Him and says, "You talked like you were better than everyone else. You better have put your actions, attitudes, moral behavior, where your mouths were. You better have gotten all your carnality under control, walked your talk, and showed more of the Holy Spirit working in you." I hope He judges all the arrogant "hebrews" by their own mouths. After all, to whom much is given, much is expected. Sorry to say, the black "hebrew" community does a lot of talking, but their walk doesn't really seem to match their talk.
The white church is no better. If we truly believe God there wouldn't be a black or white church but Holy Ghost filled church since the Spirit is one. The scripture about being in Christ there's no Jew or gentiles is saying there no advantage being either or. Obviously we still have Jews and gentiles today.

I like my church but there is one thing that is unsettling. When it's time to tithe the pastor says "everyone got your gift? Hold it up hold your gift up"(then he pauses looks at everyone then continues) he says and does this every Sunday like why do we need to hold our money up ?

Lauren, I agree with you. Also the pastor or preacher should not be evoking this feeling of discomfort in the congregation. In my opinion it takes away from the natural desire to obey God's Word and turns it into something negative or suspicious

I completely agree with everything you have said. The last two minutes of the video really resonated with me. At the present, I do not know what to do. In a clear conscience, I can’t attend a ‘church business’ aka 21st century church. If you read the book of Galatians
and substitute the word ‘treasury’ for ‘circumcision’ does this letter from Paul bring a present day message? We are no longer free in Christ but have become slaves to the ‘church system’.
