I hope they do the reverse of the comics, and when Ross turns into Red Hulk, his mustache grows back in.

I agree. This would even make sense, as it has been suggested in Hulk stories that Gamma transformation is about self actualizing to a degree, and in his own mind's eye, Thunderbolt Ross probably still pictures his idealized powerful self with that "I don't care what you think" moustache.
It terms of MCU continuity, its crazy that the last president just declared war on aliens, and now we jump to this movie with a totally new president and no closure on the ramifications of secret invasion
The ramifications is that the last president was booted out for causing a panic that killed people. And the world is turning against super people more and more as look as one just attacks the president in public in this movie. All that She Hulk stuff that happened and the other countries of the world began to collect the people America threw out
It's for the best really. Best not to invoke a show that nobody watched. And those who did watch it, hated it

With the amount of unresolved plotlines in the MCU, I think it's time for a soft reset
well they’re not gonna shove the closure of a diff show into the trailer of the a different and new movie. hopefully they do address in it in the movie though cause it is a big plot point
I’m also bummed that Harrison Ford doesn’t have the mustache, but the “lose the mustache or lose the election” line is clever enough to me that I don’t care so much anymore
I kinda love the idea of Captain America fighting the President of the USA as an allegory for The American Ideal vs America as it currently is.

Highly recommend the new Ultimates run and Marvel's new Ultimate Comics in general. The situation you described is literally what happens in Ultimates #2, which just released earlier this month, and it's amazing. Ultimate Spider-Man, Black Panther, and X-Men have also all been spectacular this year.
The complaints about Sam not having powers irritates me. Like Natasha and Clint don't have powers, and yeah we made fun if Clint, but we rarely heard people complaining that they shouldn't be in a fight with super strong aliens. Also IRON MAN! Dude had no powers except for cool suits and no one ever complained.
If Marvel bounces back to anything near the goodwill it had during the majority of the Infinity Saga, we could have a similar effect to how a lot of people skip entire eras of Doctor Who but have been coming back for the new RTD2 era

There is a pretty good justice league unlimited episode where unpowered hero’s take down a super powered hulk like monster. Seems like a good template.

Funny enough, the General was pretty much Red Hulk years before he debuted.
And that's a great episode. But this is a different situation. Sam is one of the biggest heroes on earth and he's the last line of defense.

No, it didn't
Only two reasons I can think of why they ditched the stache. First is that Red Hulk doesn’t have a mustache and Marvel might have thought audiences would consider the retracting mustache too silly. For that I would say, if it’s not going to be a twist who red hulk is, just give him a mustache in hulk form. The second possible reason is that Harrison Ford just didn’t want to have to wear a fake mustache all the time, for every day of shooting

You can still have a good movie in which the main character loses. The concern is that there will be a forced victory, an unrealistic win, a stupid win.
I think there's 3 big pieces here: A good-hearted hero, an angry monster and a cold and calculating mastermind. It could easily be the case that the hero can't win against the other two and instead pits them against each other.

Even through the hard times, I stuck with Marvel. Marvel was my childhood. I have 100 percent faith in the mcu and that it will thrive once more. All it takes is one good spark to reignite the fire. ❤

There have been many films that have been doing well in the theaters that gen z have been actively going to see in the past 3 years since the government shutdowns. Band boys 4, the Barbie movie, Spider-Man far from home, across the spider-verse, Wakanda forever, Avatar 2, inside out 2, the Mario movie and etc.
I recon the first 6-7 movies after secret wars will be peak. The fanbase will go crazy seeing that many recognisable characters on screen and they will want to keep people interested.

Was looking for this comment. Agreed that Loki was a better, more consistent show overall than wandavision. Apart from the finale, I also found Wandavison’s non-westview portions to be pretty boring after the initial 3rd ep where they reveal all the answers to Wanda’s mystery a bit too soon. Loki was compelling and fun from start to finish
Couldn’t Sam like go to Mach speeds, cause he can do that, just zoom to Red Hulk then try to stab him with the wings or something? I think Sam can find a way to beat Red Hulk.
That would likely be able to cut through that skin but he would need a second to pull himself out which I can see him taking a punch. I don't think he even has to like kill him or anything but damage him enough to make him stop. I see the red hulk being full of rage at least at first before gaining control. Blonsky is able to control abomination now but couldn't without training
Not enough people commenting on the fact that they definitely gave sam a helmet so they can market the movie in China 💀. Anyway the third act is for sure gonna have same come back with an adamantium shield and gear after getting his vibranium destroyed, hence the poster of red hulk breaking the shield
I feel like, for narrative purposes, you *want* the audience to have doubts about the hero’s ability to beat the villain. That’s what makes us feel suspense and tension, it sets the stakes. Watching Sam vs Red Hulk and going “omg is he gonna be able to beat him???” is exactly how you’re supposed to react. I don’t understand why people were complaining when that’s the definition of an underdog story lol.
I haven't really hated marvel movies or TV shows, until I went on TH-cam, and even then it wasn't hate so much as disappointment.

I'm actually surprised that Harrison Ford is casted in this universe it seemed like he wasn't really into these types of films anymore outside of Indy given how he public he was about having one of his major characters in a franchise killed off I thought he'd avoid stuff like this for the near future given his age but I dig him in the trailer

She-Hulk was genuinely a good show for me. The only single thing I really didn't like was the very final set of scenes after the 4th-wall-breaking part where they just skipped part of the conclusion.

Boycotting a US comic book movie that is the hard work of hundreds of cast and crew because it features an Israeli actress is really going to make a huge difference in this war. Honestly what makes the most sense to me atm, is that red hulk, a character with a big focus on HEAT, is fighting on an island in the middle of the OCEAN? My guess is he'll be dropped/falls/is hit into the water and the flash of cool water reverts him, like an inverse of Namors defeat.
I don't need to know the story for a Marvel trailer. I want to know the tone, SOME of the character elements, and really just the basic foundation
What’s crazy to me is they haven’t even confirmed that that’s Billy yet and people are already freaking out. It probably is, and I hope it is bc the Young Avengers are my favorite Marvel characters. But how do we know if it’s a “good adaptation” or a good performance from a trailer? On that front I think everyone should wait a minute before critiquing

Marvel never left. The fans just decided to hate everything and declare Marvel dead when all they were doing was releasing mid content for a stretch. Marvel has always released some good and not so good content. But the internet loves to magnify everything.
This is why nando is one of the only TH-camr who talks about mcu stuff I can watch because everyone else I find is just complainingggggggg
The only three MCU things i actually think are bad (MoM, Quantumania and, god, Secret Invasion) were on a pretty short span, but i do agree the post-Endgame stuff isnt worse on average than the Infinity Saga stuff, it's just, so far, less cohesive.
I do think it suffered because the things that were _meant_ to provide cohesion (MoM and Quantumania) were really bad

Is Marvel back? Feels way too early to even say that. There's no certainty Captain America will be profitable, or good, especially after how many delays and reshoots its taken...Agatha All Along falls in the camp of "Who is this for/Who actually wants this", and outside of Deadpool/Wolverine there's no certainty that any project has any real buzz behind it.
Maybe Red Hulk is a red herring(pun intended). Cuz they released the McDonald's figures already and it looks like there is a villain with falcon wings and you know how much marvel loves to do the whole hero fights the villain with the same exact powers thing, so. Just sayin. Id be really surprised if red hulk is the main bad in this movie and not a guy with wings.

I think it's interesting that this movie seems to be all of the Super Soldier Serum plots throughout the MCU and taking them to their logical conclusion which I guess is Red Hulk.

Glad I seem to have missed the 'He won't be able to beat the Red Hulk' discourse because that seems exceedingly dumb for the reasons you've outlined. Ultimately it's a Captain America movie, so he's going to come out on top. The reason you go to the film is to find out the why & the how of it.
Don't recall any similar discourse around _Batman V Superman._ A film with a power dynamic that could be viewed as essentially the same (I've really no time or interest in Bat-God preparation time BS).

I see alot of negative feedback already for Agatha saying no one asked for it. But come on now people doesn't necessarily have to ask for things to get made, people are just saying things at this point. It's their Halloween entry and I think that idea is fun, reminds me of Halloween movies or episodes being shown in channels like nick or disney. With Joe I loooooveee Joe in heart stopper I didn't expect his portrayal of Billy to be effeminate and if I would choose how I want a live action billy I would prefer his starry eyed portrayal of Charlie with a mix of determination and leadership but I'm not mad about this billy as well he looks fun and this might just be agathas version of billy
Exactly. Nobody really asked for Iron Man or Guardians of the Galaxy or The Suicide Squad or Peacemaker and all of those were superhero projects that were well-received.

Don't get me wrong, I liked a lot of phase 4 and some of phase 5, but speaking strictly on the subject of an overall narrative linking the individual stories together there doesn't seem to be much of a plan. That's what I'm referring to when I say "no substance".

I've been rewatching the MCU movies in release order recently, and tbh... I don't get why there was so much hate for the more recent projects. The only film I really did not enjoy was Eternals, because it felt like a film that desperately needed to be cut down to a shorter length. I didn't like the pacing. But aside from that, I've enjoyed a lot of the recent projects. Looking forward to seeing how things continue.

He always seems to be doing what he can he just doesn’t always enjoy the project of character or felt like something else should have happened but that’s all stuff he says after the project
For example I don’t think he necessarily hated the original Star Wars movies but he felt as if his character would serve the story better if he sacrificed himself in the second and the time since he just doesn’t have interest in Star Wars because it is a lot and yet he was still great in the new movies it was just the press junkets where he would appear it interested
But he does always deliver and he probably is the biggest movie Star ever based on his work in both commercial and acclaimed work and just how many franchises he’s been in
I think the people who are behind him are probably Tom Cruise, Kevin Bacon and John Cusack but none of those are still on Harrison’s level

I think they did a first 45 minutes showing of Guardians of the Galaxy 1 back in 2014. Not sure if it was just in Asia because my local idol TH-camr watched it at the time and everyone had really exciting reactions I remember.
It is really hard for me to be excited for an MCU project, Thor Love and Thunder broke something for me.
The reshoots for Cap and the fact that Thunderbolts has the most boring line up (and is was described as a Black Widow sequel) keeps me skeptical
I want to point out the tone of Brave New World's trailer. The only joke is the first line, the rest is an action thriller.
Wanda vision was the best at the time cause it was all we had. Plus being the first show. It was an exciting time. But all the pay offs from it haven’t been great or have been getting pushed back so often it feels it’s its own show. I hope Agatha and visonquest have good throwback moments or references. All in all it’s probably my second favorite show.
Agatha and Captain America have not sold me on anything, I don’t care about Agatha and I’m skeptical on whether or not New World Order will be good since Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a mixed bag. Deadpool is the only thing I’m excited for, and that’s because i love Deadpool and am a sucker for the multiverse stuff

What they probably mean when they say how is he going to beat red hulk is because falcon couldnt do nothing with Spiderman which was a teen fresh and not a trained person with hella strength so its makes sense why they will say this. Especially when u bring up the comics of hes weakness but in the beginning Red hulk was going off on hella ppl killed abomination .
Its a silly argument. But if they want some kind of logical takedown argument, even Peter worked out how to defeat Hulk as he explains the tactic to Mary Jane in the 90s comic books. The way to beat hulk is not to fight him, but to exhaust him. It requires either a Thanos level character who can physical defeat him OR it requires someone with excellent agility. I'm sure Red Hulk will be the same.

Can't answer until i see the writers. AFAIK, there haven't been any major shake ups in writers, producers, or film division heads. So while it's been a while, i have to assume the same people are gonna bring the same energy as before. Not sure if that's good or bad...

I think these two movies and the one show are really interesting. Deadpool and Wolverine is going to be really fun and I love Hugh Jackmans Wolverine so it will be great to see again. Agatha looks good. Aubrey Plaza is awesome and if it’s like Wandavision I’ll be really happy. Also excited for the Young Avengers and Billy’s going to be in it. Captain America 4 looks like it’s going to continue the pattern of quality in the Captain America movies. I’m excited to see Ford as Ross and Sam really get to show us why he’s such a good Captain America for a full movie.

Eternals was classic MCU: big themes spoiled by regarded jokes. What did you have against No Way Home?
@@thegreatandterrible4508 oh but I did see them and I think Eternals got too much hate but had a slower pace, She-Hulk was hilarious and exactly the kind of show I would expect for the character, Ant-Man 3, not as bad as what everyone makes it out to be and is fun, No Way Home, the best of the MCU Spider-Man movies and amazing to see all live-action Spider-Men together on screen, Multiverse of Madness, again, fun and I think people were really overdoing it on their expectations, and Ms. Marvel was a great introduction to the character in the MCU.
The only real misstep for me was Secret Invasion and that's because there could have been so much more done with that and time to breathe. But I've also have seen most of the series and movies post-Endgame to be a rebuilding phase for Marvel as we get to individually see how these characters deal with the fallout of such an event that took 10 years. It's character development and I don't get how that's so difficult for some to get. You don't just drop the next big bad out the gate. You build up to it.

Bring back younger versions of classic versions of heroes. Marvel has been doing this for a while.
I'm always open to seeing what Marvel's gonna do but I don't really have high hopes for Cap 4 and Agatha.
