Simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing, I will look forward to giving this a try! I think doing this with a needle is going to be much easier then with nails. A great tutorial! OK...update; It took me some time to get the graph done, but once I had it onto the paper It went very smoothly. Instead of taping the ends down, I just made a small knot and carried on with new thread when I needed it. It is great fun and I recommend trying this out.
A girl frm our class did this and showed it to the art teacher and the art teacher got crazy and now every one has to make one so im here trying to make one
Hi Lenroc, This project was based on the artistic use of symmetry. Many math teachers use string art to help their students understand the principles of geometry.
Hi Micha! You can have them actually draw the lines on the back, so they can make sure they are creating the pattern that they had in mind. Hopefully steps 3-7 found here are helpful: www.unitednow.com/geometric-string-art-project-107
No template, the design is your own! Using the grid lines as guides should help you draw it. Start by drawing an 8" square, then draw "points" to make a symmetrical pattern design. Use a ruler to draw horizontal "target lines" across the paper to connect the points. If you need to read more instructions, they can be found here: www.unitednow.com/geometric-string-art-project-107
hi i love the design you chose and how you draw. Very empresive and amazing!!!!!! I am still 8 years old and i can't even draw like that! My bro is 6 years old and he is younger than me and he can draw better than me!!!!!!!!! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Wow! This manner is much more practice than use a hammer, a piece of wood and nails. I think you can save more time if you do like this video.
oh thank you so very much, I use to do these in school many years ago.
thank you for this tutorial now i can past a project to my teacher :D
I remember doing this way back in middle school art class in the 90s :)

So simple and easy
Love it
Thank u
I will do it soon
How do I add more string if I run out?? Please help ASAP!!!
+Natalia Allen You can tie on more string any time you need to. To keep the knot in the back of the project, just tape it down to the cardstock.
Tie more string to the one
Nice tutorial, thank you!
That looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!
Nice work!!
Que beleza de arte
Perfect 😲😯
Can we use a4 size black sheet instead of black card?
The size, shape and color of the sheet doesn't matter. It just needs to be sturdier than paper.
Hi! can you say exactly what is the name of that shape / design you made.. also, how is that related to math?
Hi Lenroc,
This project was based on the artistic use of symmetry. Many math teachers use string art to help their students understand the principles of geometry.
ok
Great arts
Which maths concept behind it
Wow! That was incredible!!:DThankYou!
Thank you Dc!
can we use illustration board as the card stock???
We're thinking it will be awfully hard to punch holes through illustration board, but you could try it and see how it goes!
If I let my student create their own dot pattern, how do let them know what dots to connect to what dots?
Hi Micha! You can have them actually draw the lines on the back, so they can make sure they are creating the pattern that they had in mind. Hopefully steps 3-7 found here are helpful: www.unitednow.com/geometric-string-art-project-107
saol abi cok isime yaradı

Can you make videos for other geometric string art? Thank you!

Awesome!
Is there a tenplate for this?

The announcer is dull as dishwater....
MisterHot I like his instruction. No annoying filler which has nothing to do with the task.
