I enjoyed this sort of craft work at school. Certainly learn a lot and a great way to use the imagination in shapes, styles and patience. I am retired now, and it is a good way to relearn some skills and recycle products rather than going to waste in landfill.
This is genius! I did this back in the 60's, but it was with nails, a hammer & a piece of wood .... this is so much easier. I've recently thought about doing this, but didn't want to go through the hammering - now I don't have to. Thank you !
Thank you very much for this tutorial which will, perhaps, allow me to start making paintings by this technique which caught my attention more than 40 years ago especially the day when I bought a book to learn art taut thread. I think today is the right one.
Hello there ! Greetings from the Evergreen State of Washington! Just caught the show. Watching you placing head pins , I was thinking How would it be if using small nails instead ?
This is a beautiful design and the best tutorial I have seen. The written explenations makes it so clear and the video is slow so one can understand what to do. Thank you!!!
Now that's we call a beauty. No wonder but needs a lot of patience & the most important thing is the creativity behind it. you are simply amazing... Thanks for sharing it.
My wife and I made two of these following your instructions. They really turned out great. The only change I made was to use screws on the back instead of thumb tacks to hang it. Thanks!

Beautiful....and I much prefer the foam boards and push pins to wood and nails. I have done small projects using art paper, needle and thread. But big projects would need stronger materials. Thank you for sharing!

This was huge over 40+ years ago, very easy and fun, we used crochet string as it was smooth and strong, get a bit of wood, paint black and hammer nails in.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment hun. Appreciate your subscription. Means a lot to me. I love watching your videos too. You are a great actor. Keep making more..All the very best :)
I would love to make this, but will be using a 16 x 16 square board. What compass measurements would you suggest for the marking process for that size? (Math is not by strong suit! Haha)
Beautiful, thank you for your time and patience, thank you for sharing. I have subscribed, look forward to seeing more from you.I would love to try but on a smaller scale to begin with. Joan UK
Beautiful. FYI(and you may already know this); if you keep your compass set at 20cm and start at any point on the circle and keep moving it the previous point, it will divide the circle into a perfect 6 divisions(hexagon).
Nice video. But just a sugestion, to divide the circle in six sections, you can use the compass with an opening equal to the radius of the circle. Starting at a point and marking the next using the opening of the compass. It will give you six points at same distance from one to another.
That would be much faster..I remember doing that in middle school..Appreciate for sharing the method in detail..it would be useful for my viewers..Thank you so much!!!

I would love to make this, but will be using a 16 x 16 square board. What compass measurements would you suggest for the marking process for that size? (Math is not by strong suit! Haha)
Kimberly Williamson probably 16 cm since she used a 20 by 20in board and she set her compass to 20 cm.
I am doing it right now. But I am using a 25x25 cm board and just put 13x13x13 nails on each "slice". I think it will look great anyhow.
i have seen this video recommended i think i will try to make same for my room
wow.. it's so beautiful 😊
