Dude, you missed a historic concert. It was epic. 3 hours 45 minutes, 33 songs and lots of highlights. Really, they are rockstars, believe me.🤩

Technically 32 songs because they did one TWICE.
Who has A) the moxie to do that (when they have to schedule a SECOND concert to include all the great songs they couldn't cram into this one) and B) who can actually pull that off and it's almost not even noticed at first because the two versions are so different and equally great?

The most complete and professional performance of the ladies in their career. Absolutely top notch. A once in a lifetime concert, although I think Band Maid will surpass it in the near future.
My friend, the concert was " a charming brutality"... Saiki singing and playing the piano alone was simply "intimidating and hypnotic"... BAND MAID scares you with their incomprehensible level. We are lucky, very lucky that they play their music for us.
I bought a ticket to watch the live stream and watched it 3 times already and now I am convinced that they are in fact THE next big live rock band since decades ago. Everything about that show right down to the little things like their knowledgeable use of feed back and showmanship to their genuine comic personalities was 100% awesome. 3 1/2 hours long too.
Whether they sold or not they needed to do an arena show. Word will get out that they can indeed put on an arena show and next time it should sell no problem.

It was so amazing! I remembered to watch it at the last moment...from midnight to almost 4am here, but it was so worth it. Best versions of every song they played (all 33 of them)! New outfits. Surprises and special moments throughout! I love this band so much! Saiki was on fire vocally. Mincho burned up From Now On! Miku's solo introduction to Influencer was fantastic! Akane walking the runway is iconic and I could watch it on continuous loop. Misa doing Misa things all night long. What an amazing concert!
Concert of the year, if not the decade. I'm glad I bought the extended ticket, which allows unlimited viewing for the next 4 weeks. The Blu Ray release next year will be a must have..
This show was simply EVERYTHING! Everything I had hoped for and damn, so much more! 33 songs in 3 1/2 hours that flew by. With lots of fun moments in between, goosebump moments through certain songs/intros/solos, tears of emotion, and a feeling of pride as if these were my own children standing there on stage. It's hard to put into words when you experience something like that, which has grown so close to your heart. And I was "only" there via the live stream. 🙈 Each of them individually, but especially as a band, they excelled themselves and emphasized what some of us already are saying for a long time. They are THE best rock band out there right now. ❤🔥🤘🏻

This was legit the best concert I've witnessed in the 35 years of watching bands.

In my personal experience (I have seen most of the Great Bands of the '70's, '80's & '90's multiple times), this just might be the greatest "one band" concert of all time! Spectacular sound, spectacular song writing (ALL of the songs), spectacular performance and spectacular personalities! If you get a chance, WATCH this entire concert soon! You will be left speechless. "Our rock never dies. EVER! FOREVER!

33 songs and they didn’t even play “Secret My Lips,” “Moratorium,” “Real Existence,” “Blooming,” and a bunch of other massive songs.
The Maids will get used to the huge stages eventually. It was comical watching Kanami and MISA wander out there and then full sprinting back to hit their spots.
I must say the sound was EPIC. I mean, the best sounding concert I’ve ever heard. And Saiki’s vocals were completely above anything she’s done before. Truly magnificent performance.
They might end up in part 2 in february, since they wanted to do songs they didnt do this time.
Buy the archive ticket… it’s beyond worth it. It was not just a concert, it was like an evening with Band Maid, if that distinction makes any sense. The solo Saiki piano version of Choose me was amazing, but there were so many other great surprises during the show. It is a MUST watch for any self-respecting maidiac.
I am a fan so it is not like I am going to go over the top about the concert. But legendary doesn't come close. It had every element a Band Maid fan could want. Every Rock and music fan would want. It will still stay in the memory for a very long time.
I've been a fan of other great rock bands and rock stars for a long time. But last Sunday, I am aware of having attended an anthology concert played by a rock band which has reached the level of these legendary bands. Exceptional.

I second that. I think the best Livestream I have ever see. 3.5 hours of awesomness. All the ladies were fantastic all on their A game and Saik's vocals were the best I have heard from her.

Many fans have posted their take of this song. Some of them are very good, clear video and good camera angles. And can confirm that Saiki solo on piano singing the same song was one of the main highlights. If they want to hype the sale of the announced DVD, put that clip on youtube.
There's already a bootleg there so an official woul be smart
These ladies deserves much more attention and Glory here in Western world that they have had so far. They are superband. Like Nemophila will be in 5 years time and maybe Lovebites too. But they all deserve so much more 🔥🤘❤️
I don't think it's this song but in another track where MISA was walking about, she stops for a SOLO in front of her mother who was attending the concert.
I know her Mum comes to concerts when she can. I didn't know that was her Mum. A wonderful moment in frankly a night of memorable moments.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I was actually there at the venue. It was really a big surprise! My seat was in the 1st row on 2nd floor. There was a corridor in front of me. Miku, Saiki and Misa came by my place within a 4-foot range. Before starting the show, I was murmuring a complaint about my bad luck because I could not get a closer seat on arena floor. But everything was relieved when I see the ladies coming to me. What a lucky day it was !!

I just finished watching it. INSANE concert. They did so much for the audience , you are going to love it
The brilliant Saiki played piano and sung the whole song solo- it was 21 out of 33 songs in 3.5 hours.

I watched the stream, too. (And I have the "long archive" version!) Great camera work and sound (especially with some good head phones on). The blu-ray will be even better refined, when it comes out.
Anyway---it was one of their great performances! You could see on their faces towards the last two songs, as they realized what they'd achieved. A great finale to a great year. And we get the new album in summer 2024! The concert included several of their new, unreleased songs.
Fun extra fact. Apparently, LOVEBITES were in attendance in at the very front, too, according to concertgoers. Midori is easy to spot.
There’s another fan cam footage from the other side of the arena where, during Kanami’s solo, you can see Saiki recognize LOVEBITES members in the audience while she walks towards the stage
The amazing thing is, they don't have to refine it very much if at all except for raising the volume of the audience... and they only played 2 new songs "Brightest Star" and "Magie"
@@motley22crue Yeah.. the mix was very good for being live! Probably next to their Eggman live thing IMO. But I'm sure they will clean it up a bit. remove some.. add some..
Definitely worth grabbing an archive ticket and watching the whole show. It was a fantastic performance start to end, and yes there will be a BluRay release Spring 2024.
they played 33 songs (32 if you don't count two different versions of this song) and then drop a message that they will be coming back here in a couple months to play songs that they didn't in this show.

yep ... fantastic show. calling it "a concert" is just inaccurate. As Howard from Baka Broadcast said, it's more like "an evening with Band Maid" event, with tons of music of course, but much more. On another note, I'm not sure which clip you are going to watch, but if you see a middle aged blonde japanese woman freaking out on the balcony in front of Misa ... that's her mom :) (cheers to Peter Lim for mentioning it in his stream)
Hopefully the clip is one of the fan cams of "Choose Me" as this is the song that the band allowed the audience to film. I don't want to have to unsubscribe from one of my favourite Band-Maid reactors because they posted content that's behind a paywall. 👍

The other great thing about that is (IIRC), Miku high-fived her too and she was just as excited because OF COURSE they all know each others' parents and grandparents.

It was live streamed. I got up at 2:30am to watch and I am so glad I did, because their was not a single moment of disappointment! New song intros, new maid outfits, the stage set was wild, Kanami and Saiki did two acoustic duets on the runway island, and, surprise!, they set up a grand piano on the main stage. Saiki did a solo of "Choose Me" on piano that worked better than I thought it might. Band-Maid Prime has a video of her doing "Choose Me" on piano from last January and I can definitely can say her piano playing has improved. During the next MC she told Miku that her hands were shaking!
BTW: the new maid outfits were real nice: an evolution of the old outfits with a late Victorian "Steam Punk" style to them. That's why Akane was doing a runway walk - She really pulled it off! Saiki has new boots and a dress that someone commented looked like The Corpse Bride's dress (This is a compliment!). Kanami got the biggest makeover - her dress is fantastic - it incorporates the Maid-Bow motif and looks awesome whenever Mincho is moving.
Don't worry! Band Maid will be releasing this Okyu-ji on video later this year.
The run-and-play guitar style -- a new element in Kanami's guitar stylings. Her new look threw me for a few seconds.

This song I likes to listen Bass sound a lot.
Love the Maids new look. Mincho looks so good. Her old battle armour made her look a little frumpy. There were film crew at this show so lets hope for some song vids or a full concert film this year.
BG, If you looked closely at the fan-cam video, you would notice their new outfits, especially Kanami's.
You can still buy a digital ticket to an archive stream of the concert from Zaiko. Fortunately for us the yen is still super weak, I think the month long archive of the stream would only be about $45 after conversion. It's sadly not something I think you'd be able to use for your channel (maybe you could get away with an audio only reaction IDK) but certainly worth considering if you're at all interested. There will also be a Blu-Ray release in the somewhat near future, so absolutely you'll still have chances to watch this. I saw them live in Anaheim too and as epic as that was, honestly, I don't know if anything they've done stacks up to this concert. It's a 100% must see.
They promised a spinoff show in February with no repeat. Can you believe that? Over 50 songs in two shows. That's almost half their catalog in two performances. Hopefully they will stream that too and include both shows on the spring release DVD.

Can someone please explain "Archive Ticket"? Was it online? Can I still buy it? How? Where? Cost? I'm older and don't understand some of the newer technology. Can someone please point out directly how to do this.

Misa was setup perfectly. Every note she played came through more so than usual and I didn't have to try to pick her out of the mix. Miku had her moment too, no spoilers but it's something I hoped for but thought I might never see. And MISA'a mom was there, got a little air time.
I don't know if it's the Aguilar, but if it is, while it doesn't have the BEEF of the Orange amp, it let's you hear what she's doing more distinctly. ETA: maybe the Aguilar is why she switched to P-J basses, or vice versa?
@@stevehall5128 I think her new setup perfectly suits her pick and slapping styles. Hell, most of the time she was plying her bass like a huge badass Strat! 😁
@@me262a1 Also, I can't remember which song it is (early on I think) but it looked like instead of _tucking_ the pick against the base of her thumb using her index finger as we're used to, she was slapping with her thumb but still holding the pick in normal position between her thumb and index finger. Which makes sense because AFAIK most bassists pop with their middle finger, leaving the index free. But that would be INSANELY innovative unless it's been done before (i.e. one of those legendary players where every bassist talks about "that thing" they did that nobody else ever bothered trying to learn because it was so nuts. )
