Some things will never go back to how they were pre-Covid. I’m hoping that this show is one of them. I think Nick alluded to what we all know, the other night, the opening segment with the crew banter/news is really popular. Also, being a Brit I like the self-deprecating stuff where James implies the current format is a disaster, they’re just trying to hold things together and nobody is watching. In the UK James gets a lot of hate for his personality but he’s very self-aware. He knows his faults and is willing to exaggerate them for comedy effect.
A separate video comprised of just the news headlines ought to be made. It is not that difficult, I would reckon. Also, Kudos to more speaking chances for Hagar 🖒😊

And let's not forget Harry (Styles) who is the cool ass third-degree cousin that everyone is somewhat in love with even if he's not there that often.
We need whole show where the crew and James would just chill and trade stories and banters for one whole hour. And when James said, watching in on your fone, while at work, pretending to work,.. Got a little shookt cause I am at work and I'm trying so hard not to snicker so much. Lol
Yes! Nick's hair looks really great! He should def keep it. I did laugh real hard at the felicity joke nonetheless. I really love the open banter that's developed without the audience. I only used to watch this show every now and then, but now I come on to check it every night because the "monologue" is so good! I love getting to know the various crew members bit by bit and watching them carry jokes over from week to week. I love that they let us in on some of the vibe they've created as a group over the years. They really seem like they're genuinely fond of each other and have fun.

Kenny G over there really doesn’t understand what happened to the show since he left. The show only really became fun for me when they got to the current format during the pandemic.
Remember the Dick Van Dyke show? Sally and Buddy would be having a writers’ meeting and Rob would be there and Mel the producer would come in and it was a creative firestorm and so funny and wonderful! One of my favorite tv sequences. And I LIVED in front of the tv. Yeah? Just realized that is why I love this sho so much. It’s the same thing, only MORE, unscripted and with British accents. Perfect.

It's been a while since I've seen the tv version, but I remember it being about the same. Here, the clips are just in different videos (monologue, guest talk, musical/comedian performances, games/segments, etc) and on tv, it's all together. Although, sometimes, they shorten the segments for tv (carpool karaoke, spill your guts) so those clips can be longer online than on TV 💞 Sorry for the long response 💞
