- In this clip from the 1971 James Bond movie, eccentric millionaire Willard Whyte gets shot at...
This is one of the funniest moments in the Bond series and perhaps one of the few decent parts of "Diamonds are Forever"!
Connery's face in response of the line is almost as good as the line itself
Best. Bond. Ever.
That’s because Bond didn’t came up with that one himself 😂
I wouldn't say he's fired, more like terminated.
Erased....lol
With prejudice!
Well, while he wasn't fired, he was fired upon...
Can't say that without a thick Austrian accent.
Only Blofeld would be as cheap as to make an elderly casino manager take potshots at his former boss.
Sometimes Willard Whyte needs a little something in the morning to warm his whole body up and get it goin'
Ba-aha?! I haven't got 'nything in Ba-aha?!
It's Baja California.....or whatever you wanna say that is!)
Shadow *The Strong Hearted* Fighter you didn’t get it...
@@TK-Nightfire-141 No, he clearly says "Bah-ah-ha"
Bruce Cabot (Saxby) died a year after this movie was released. (lung cancer)
This was his final film also.
He's not alive!
@@jamespfitz Tell him he's fired...from life.

His 1st movie role was in *_*King Kong*_* (1933)
Saxby waits till their out of ammo before he becomes a gopher and pops up like whack a mole!
Great scene, RIP Mr. dean.
Jimmy Dean was one of the few bright spots (along with Lana Wood) in an otherwise ho-hum Bond film. He was hilarious playing a Howard Hughes sort of semi recluse, sans the long fingernails.
RIP Jimmy, you did yourself proud--in this film, in your singing, and in your sausage company.
You will be missed. I hope they eat lots of sausage in heaven.
It was a very witty film, just not want Bond fans expect now, but it hugely outgrossed it's two predecessors back in the day. It was wonderful escapism. People are too serious these days.
@@jonburrows8602lol no boomer. It's a mediocre film and it only outgrossed its predecessor because Connery was back
"Way ahead of ya, boss." Yep, he got fired alright. Lololololololol.
"Tell him he's fired!" LOL!
I think Saxby got the point...
The hollow point.
I like Jimmy Dean's line, but with all due respect to Bruce Cabot (a great actor), Bert Saxby is possibly the worst Bond villain in the entire series. Of all the people Blofeld could've chosen as his right-hand man, he chose a casino manager who can't shoot?
Because he needed Saxby to keep up the illusion that he was Willard Whyte and Saxaby was Whyte's right hand man. Wint and Kidd were Blofeld's main assassins in the movie.
You've never seen Elvis in Quantum of Balls then?
Hey, he rescued Fay Wray from King Kong. That's gotta count for something.
BIG JOHNNNN, BIG BAAAAD JOHNNNNNN
Whyte should returned for future Bond films !
Whyte: I see you've met Bambi and Thumper
Bond: Yeah I got my ass kicked
Here, just let me put this bulls eye on your chest, before we go out the door.
The hostage pretty being like “ah my babysitters got a hold of ya. Hope they didn’t hurt you too bad”. Like he wasn’t even sure if those ladies were their to guard him completely or at least until they’d have to kill him themselves pssh
@GeneralMototada That is sooo hilarious the way that Willard Whyte (played by the late Jimmy Dean) saying the famous line "George Saxby....tell'em he's fired!!".
He literally was fired from an automatic rifle
One of the best lines in the entire series. 😆
DAF had many of the best lines in the entire series. A lot of Bond "fans" miss them because they perseverate on the use of humor in the film.
After the first shot misses saxby was obviously out gunned why did he raise back up and get picked off and looks like he did his own stunt rolling off down the the hill.
His failure meant his death by Blofeld so he was screwed either way 😅
I wonder how he knew Bond encountered Bambi and Thumper.
He was wet from the pool
@@stimactzedvard7556 Yeah, not rocket science.
The question is why did whyte call bambi and thumper his friends when they were holding him captive

Jimmy...you are missed....Have a good time with Dennis Hopper !
And I thought, my puns were bad...
Corporate downsizing!
Bert Saxby had nail polish on his jacket not blood
😂😂 yoo! This gets me everytime
Elon of the seventies
I think you’re a little outnumbered there Bert. He got fired alright, from life 😂
Hahahah yeah the face is so sincere
pun intended?
One of the best bond movies
I say it was one of the cleverest Bond movies, but it's humor is lost on a lot of Bond fans who want things to more serious.
'Classic.
@alan1963: It's 'Bert' Saxby, not 'George', just that you know.

@trwent
How did Lana Wood help?
I can think of two big reasons ...
@Wierdperson31 She helped Deliciously and Delightfully. That is, "DD" !!!!
Funny shit!!! Love 007
Willard Whyte = 1971!Elon Musk
More like Howard Hughes, who coincidentally allowed the producers of DAF to use his hotel in Vegas as White's Penthouse.
@@joshuagrover795 Willard Whyte's actor = IRL!employee of Howard Hughes
@bigjamesbondfan the best =P
Lol.
@Wierdperson31
Eye candy, my friend. Eye candy.
Bert Saxby looks like Donald Trump xD
This Saxby bloke is a terrible shooter.
Cant help feeling WW is imitating Trump, though at the time folk thought it was Howard Hughes.
Urgh, such a poor film.
Not really. It was meant to be a satire of the entire James Bond phenomena. It just went over some people's heads.
@@jonburrows8602 well maybe, I just think it cheapens the series a lot. I couldn't imagine juvenile jokes in a Bourne film, and I don't like it in Bond. Bond has a dry, sardonic wit, not crass smarmy sleaze and bad puns.
@@davidh7088I agree, this movie was a complete joke, it felt like a comedy
@bilalrashad6636 worse. A bad comedy.
