i have hamayumi and since 1st day when i got ganyu i build her like ...many ways currenty i have achived max potential dmg as a ftp which is 18 plus 32 in charged shot R3 hamayumi 4p wonderes 53\197 with 2444 attack and as i told you she is my main so i have lot of artifacts lot of bows for her SED thing i dont have amos lol hahaha
for those worrying about crit rate for ganyu, she have a passive that increases her crit rate after releasing a charged attack, even if it miss, pair her with another cryo or use blizzard set, you just need a whole bunch of crit damage
@@rodrigogaragarza485 blizzard gives lots more crit rate in general so its not terrible, but yeah with morgana you can literally have 15 crit rate, wanderers is just better in every other scenario tho
god this is already many times more damage than I currently do. this makes me SO excited. I have 2 pitys saved, and almost all materials ready, for almost this exact setup

It's not realistic at all. He showed melt in one and one with weakspots to proc crescent passive. Melt works best with Kazuha since trying it with something like Xiangling is clunky as hell, and half the newer enemies don't have weak points anymore making crescent very weak in the current abyss and newer inazuma areas. Trust me, you won't be doing this much damage on average even with a better build.
@@Ren21727 This is as realistic as it gets for a higher investment f2p ganyu. I also have a prototype crescent ganyu with similar stats and this is abt the same dmg that i get. Idk why u think u cant reach this dmg all the equipments are f2p.
I'm so hyped for ganyu rr. I already have enough materials for triple crown (which I will cause she is my favourite character by far), a level 90 amos bow ready which I got from permanent banner and a full build which is actually really good. 71 pity right now 50 rolls and I lost the last 50/50, so that's at least one ganyu for me good luck to everyone rolling for her! edit: 1 Ganyu rerun later and I'm hitting 150k charges with just level 80 bennett and a badly built sucrose. Fun times
For those wanting to get ganyu, a freeze comp is more effective than a melt one. With a 4pc blizzard slayer you get a total bonus of 75% crit rate. Its also much easier to play. Edit: Forced myself to invest into a melt comp and even tho its harder to play it's so much fun bursting enemies down with melt procs. You are all right
freeze comp is easier cause of CC and a lot of the new enemy ai is super mobile and difficult to manage so it’s more consistent but less damage than melt. You can farm blizzard and throw all the bad pieces into wanderers strong box so you can farm for both sets at the same time
@@user-de6me5hc6c Uhm Ganyu does NOT need a buff. She has been one of the strongest characters for a long time and it hasn’t changed. Ayaka comes in as a close second. Dmg could be majorly improved with R5 crescent, but without it’s no where near mediocre. Mind you it’s just raw dmg with only melt (39k per charged?!) being the only reaction. With a full team she is insane.
Me personally I find her more useful in a freeze comps. Good luck to future Ganyu mains, I've been using her since her first release and she has been my favorite character since. Still have to get her Amos Bow on her rerun though and then I'll be complete.
So the damage is that noticeable while using the amos bow..? The 36% atk boost is pretty high.. but if you say that Amos is better I might have to clean off the dust
@@AkanneBeat the fact that you don't need to hit the weak point already makes it better, so no conditions required to access to the passive unlike prototype, slimes for example don't have one
@@Ann_QwQ R5 prototype is not that close to r1 Amos. You can look up comparisons, it’s just not as powerful. Still a good weapon for a F2P, though. There’s about a 20% dmg difference
People say Ganyu is boring, but at least for me shes fun in a melt or freeze comp. i initially pulled for Ganyu cuz i like her as a character. i got lucky and got Ganyu with her weapon the Amos bow within 3 pulls (2 on her banner and 1 on weapon). hopefully everyone thats gonna wish gets insane luck
I still don't know if I should pull for ganyu or zhongli on this next rerun. For me I always get characters if they're fun to play and on their design (I like ganyu more) but ik zhongli makes the game 10x easier. But ganyu is just more fun to play so idkkkkk
@@harrisonparker6024 it's not that ZL makes the game 10x easier. It's just that he makes the game more comfortable to play. He also provides universal res shred which is significantly weaker than the VV buff but easier to pull off as you only have to press E. It's AOE can be a bit of a problem for some teams but it's not really a major issue. But, as you become more adept at dodging and become more familiar with game mechanics, you'd use ZL less and less. In fact, I have c4 Zhongli but I rarely use him in abyss simply because I can't find a spot for him in any of the teams I use lol As for Ganyu, she's never left my team ever since I got her. She's stupidly strong. Ultimately, the decision is yours. May the gacha gods be on your side.
Hamayumi increases her damage a bit more, if you can keep her energy full all the time (basically, when her burst is ready, DON'T use it). It's cause the passive of that bow boosts charged attacks by 20% normally, but when the character's energy is full, they're boosted by 100%. If you don't have the Hamayumi blueprint, there is a guy in Tatarasuna that gives you it. He lives on the north side of the island in a shell hut. To get the bow, you gotta pay with conch shells (found in investigate spots near the area) to open a chest. You need to do this for seven days to get it, so start now if you haven't (you might be able to get it early though, but I've never seen it happen so idk). If you have the blueprint but no bow billet, check if you haven't already bought the one in the Liyue sigil shop. You also get one for free from the Sacred Sakura tree, though it's at level 44. If you still have that billet box from 1.5, then you can also use that. Hopefully you won't have to resort to grinding weekly bosses :p With Bennet, 2k attack, 181% crit damage, and the reverse Melt reaction I was able to do 25k+75k in one hit, so that's about 100k damage in one hit. Average hit was around 18k+38k. It probably could've been higher if I used 4p Viridiscent Venerer's on my Jean, but I'm really adamant about my current build. This is all a f2p Ganyu, though with really lucky artifacts. Ganyu is a really good DPS, and probably won't be bad for a while, even if she's kinda been dethroned by Ayaka (only by a small margin though. Ayaka is only a bit better because she's extremely good with the freeze comp) edit: i forgot to say a good team for her lol For melt Ganyu, I think Xiangling, Bennet, and Jean would be the best. If you don't have Jean, you can use Sucrose, or Diona if you want Cryo Resonance + shields and heals. Zhongli is also pretty good, but idk if many of you guys even have him.
Got extremely lucky and pulled two consecutive skyward harps in the weapon banner. One for Childe and the other will be Ganyu's when she finally comes home.

Not really, she's not easy to build.. it's hard getting wanderers with good crit rate and dmg. Did you see their crit rate is still low? It could be better :') I've been very unlucky with the pieces I got from the strongbox.
I use a similar artifact build (4-pc Wanderer’s Troupe), but with Hamayumi (the craftable Inazuma weapon). On Pyro-slimes, I get 25k direct Charged hit, 40k Frostflake 2nd hit.
I have a C0 with a level 11 charged shot and an R4 Hamayumi, 25% crit rate and 189% crit dmg, deals around 12k and 24k Crit *without* melt and I must say Hamayumi is a far better option since I can't be asked to hit weakspots all the time, also I only lost around 1k to 2k damage if I used my ult which is super easy to get so... yeah.
those are literally the stats i would get on my ganyu and with the same set, I do have amos tho but i was worried about the crit consistency on wanderers so thank you so much for the showcase!
As you can see it's low, thats why i use a good Blizzard set instead.. If you go for wanderers you need at least around 60% crit rate.. Blizzard ads a ton of dmg yo your burst wich is up all the time and nice to melt with so
@@karerabbe7829 Thats was my first option but I couldn't manage to get a good set for her, or at least a better one in terms of crit dmg. For the moment I'll stick to this but I may drop some dmg for some more c.rate but we will see
40% c.rate with wanderers set is good enough if you are using a freeze team with cryo resonance. But, it is not enough for Melt Ganyu. Thats why building melt Ganyu with Amos bow is very hard. She needs so much investment. If you are going for freeze though, I recommend using Blizzard strayer set instead. It is slightly better than the wanderer's set.
Smart move! I actually got shenhe for my ayaka and omg, my shenhe is only half built, and she already almost triples my ayakas dmg. My ayaka normally does 12k charged hits, but eith shenhe she does 27k. Its freaking insane. By thr time im done building shenhe, shes gonna be doing like 35 charged hits, maybe even over 40k if i throw in bennet too. Zhonglis nice, but if you have diona, id suggest getting shenhe. That isz if you are an ayaka main like me :)
watching her with r1 prototype crescent makes me so nervous to get her.. I have r3 skyward harp prepared for her I’m so excited to see her dmg potential with a mid refined 5*

Amusing how we almost have the same base stats on Ganyu as a F2P player with Prototype Crescent as well - mine has 2108 ATK, 54.8% CR, 208.9% CD, 143 EM, 114.9% ER. So I can attest to the damage numbers on this, though my Crescent is R5 so the difference is more noticeable when its passive buff is activated. Speaking of her craftable weapons, Prototype Crescent is actually slightly stronger than Hamayumi at the same refinement level when it comes to CA's, but only when you can proc its passive effect; this effect is the only reason Crescent R5 can even approach the power of Amos Bow R1. However, in more recent Spiral Abyss cycles, events, and even on later areas in the overworld, enemies without weakpoints are becoming more prevalent, such as the Rifthounds (despite their huge heads), Specters, and many bosses like the Perpetual Mechanical Array, Thunder Manifestation, and all Hypostases. While some enemies only show their weakpoints briefly during certain attacks such as the Inazuman Ruin Machines, which make them inconsistent to fight. Since the current Abyss 12 features a lot of the Rifthounds (which have also 25% res), Ganyu with Crescent feels a lot weaker against them and makes me wish I had Hamayumi (or Amos) instead. That said, Crescent is still good, it just depends on the Abyss enemy line-up and if Mihoyo will continue to release enemies without weakpoints. Fortunately, the Rifthounds will be rotated out on the next Abyss cycle (except for Whelps) according to leaks and will be replaced with enemies with weakpoints, such as Primo Geovishap and Maguu Kenki (yet again).
if you really want her, build your diona or noelle as a shielder for her. Zhongli is no doubt a great support for Ganyu. Ask yourself if you really need ganyu or you just want her as part of your collection. Both characters are great, once you get one of them, just never regret it for not having the other one. Are you sure you built her right? My ganyu does 50k per charged, and thats using qn r2 dragons bane. Honestly, in temrs of realistic dmg, hu tao is a much stronger unit, and wayyyy easier to usez as ganyu requires aiming skills which is extremely hard to do if you are a mobile player.

I already have a guaranteed Ganyu and i'm wondering if I should get my Prototype Crescent to R4(I already have enough billets). I'm also hoping I can get a Zhongli, but that would be close to 50/50 soft pity.
@@jokesonu3412 Cryo resonance activates when the enemy is affected by cryo OR frozen.... so the first charge shot wont have the added +15% crit rate but the bloom will. and her passive gives her 20% after firing her first charge shot. so shes already 75% crit rate without needing to freeze and using blizzard strayer.

Damn, if this is Ganyus raw damage and she's considered one of the best DPS characters in the game, then it makes me realize just how jacked up my C6 Yanfei actually is! My Yanfei is hitting around 10-15k from normal attacks and between 35-45k on charged attacks, plus the same again on activation of her skill (which allows another full power charged attack straight away). And that's raw damage too. No Bennett involved or elemental reactions. Still going for Ganyu though lol
@@karis3673 Lol, yep, no buffs! She's actually broken amounts of OP at C6! Off the top of my head, her talents are at 10, 12, 12 (normal/charged attack is crowned), about 2k attack, about 50% crit rate/120% crit damage, and a level 90 R1 Lost Prayer to Sacred Winds. She's running a full set of Crimson Witch arts, but they aren't all fully maxed yet. Hell, I don't even have a full gold set either because I have such terrible luck in that domain, so 2 of her artifacts are still purple! She can still get stronger lol. (and she's just RIDICULOUS when paired up with my maxed out Raiden Shogun too!)

This was very helpful. I think those numbers are pretty impressive for F2P, but also not enough for me to pull for her. (Particularly since aiming for crits is substantially more difficult in places like abyss.)
That's true tbh, ganyu got power crept in the last 3 months in spiral abyss, I have an 80% rate and 223% Cdmg build with the skyward harp and she isn't able to beat current abyss with melt team, she fell down from my eyes because I invested in her so hard but the results are terrible
@@greathex1070 i don't know about that ,i have C1 Ganyu(R5 Hamayumi) ,i can 36 star abyss with just a duo team .Ganyu+Diona and Raiden+Jean on the other side .For a full team,it would be way too easy.

You can check my battle chronicle on hoyolab (haz1)with kazuha pic ,i cleared it with just ganyu-diona on 2nd half ,not really much trouble tbh .
Im hoping I can get Zhongli early and try to get her bow afterwards. Used to love playing her but with Inazuma alot of monsters are like immune or really resistant to Ganyu whenever I used her so I just switched to Eula. Made it pretty annoying to run her, especially if it was a freeze comp because I couldn't do anything really except change my whole party. I still use her in Abyss and its still pretty fun seeing her casually spit out like a 75k melt lmao

That's almost the highest you can get from R1 F2P weapon, 23k bloom damage. I have 2 Ganyu lv 10 normal attack, both have 1 year of passive farm Wonder set, one has 1k9 ATK - 50/220 crit, another gas 2k2 - 50/180 crit. Hamayumi and Prototype Crescent have same performance, Prototype has better damage with her Q but not recommend if you play melt team, vice versa for freeze team. Amos win almost everytime with significant higher damage (~30% compare to R1 weapon), even point blank, and you don't have to worry about melt or freeze team.
Just my two cents after recently getting her. Similar stats only with an Amos Bow from the bery forst Venti banner. Similar DMG - BUT! Been doing some co-op for laughs and was hitting some 113k charged shots with a melt and Xiao in some dungeons. She really is nuts and HELLA FUN! xD

well this video really helped me to feel better! thanks lol everyone was shitting on me for getting Xiao ("oh he shit he so bad he not usefull bad damage") when there's Ganyu's banner after him, now i know that my Xiao being not fully build yet with 61/144 cr rt/cr dm does exact same damage each hit 20/30k in his ult solo (white tassel) thanks god i'm not losing anything getting him with geo daddy, because the fandom reacts like you lose the whole point of the game and existence of ur account when you not pull for Ganyu (i still think Ayaka is the best dps cryo in game)
Imo, just get whoever you want and be happy about that. The point of playing games is to release stress and be happy, not the other way around. Number is not everything in this game, we can actually ignore spiral abyss if we want. Anyway thanks for watching and dropping a comment!!! : )
I use the blackcliff bow with her and the damage is pretty much the same I do have r5 prototype but I hate aiming for headshot all the time, i just hope I get Amos from the standard banner soon :")

That's what happens when you have godly artifs :). Tbh, my flower and hourglass is good, but i cant say the same thing about the other 3. At talent lvl 8 (normal attack) and ar 47 (lvl 80 ganyu + lvl 80 hamayumi) i do about 13k blooms.
my best friend has had r5 crescent for her ganyu for a rlly long time. when she got amos' bow while trying for skyward harp, the joy is shared. hope this happens to you and any of the ganyu mains out there!
I was wondering whether to pull for zhongli or ganyu or kazuha, I've seen ganyu do amazing dmg, but then again I've heard that zhongli's shield is amazing, and kazuha is a character i've always wanted in my main account, but i already have him in another. Weirdly enough, I have the same stats as u. I just have an Amos prepared but the stats are creepily the same. Not that it's a bad thing, I initially thought 40 crit rate wouldn't crit often. Now I just p r a y, as someone who can't work because of age, school and many other reasons income is hard and while i'm not f2p all I ever get is welkin and occasionly BP for the weapon, which is not as much primos as some may think, I'm AR55 with no quests, no hangout events or story quests to do which also limits me. I have about 12 wishes in primos rn with 12 pity and a 50/50 to win after accidently getting Itto and Xiao while tryna get Gorou and Yunjin. (I've gotten my last 3 5 stars at 30-40 pity so I'm hoping that continues.) and seeing as my 50/50 luck is nonexistent im hoping Ganyu comes come at early pity and hopefully not a C3 Mona >:( Especially after getting Amos bow back in November ToT

Hi everyone, been a ganyu main since her 1st banner, If you are confident in your crit rate, an alternative artifact set would be 4 pc. wanderers troupe. It buffs your damage a lot and is also an easy artifact set to farm.
Wow 23k! I have been using Blackliff warbow till recently and 21k with no stacks was the usual. I got the Amos from the standard free wishes and even Shenhe and now she's on 36k bloom. But your Cocogoat hits very hard, I even had more crt dmg with the Blackliff but without the passive... Me likes this vid very much

That's a great showcase. I remember when I first pulled Ganyu and she became my Strongest DPS without even too much investment. It's been months since that and it stays the same. With Shenhe, pyro resonance, Bennet and a Skyward harp R1, she now does over 60k with the shot and over 100k of the explosion with melt. It's ridiculous how strong that comp is. But even with just a regular Ganyu I still do over 40k per arrow in total. The new abyss was pretty easy thanks to her and Shenhe. Anyways, thanks for a great showcase and hope everyone gets her.
@@stop.1003 Lvl 90 Ganyu, with Skyward Harp, also lvl 90. 2139 atk, with 4-piece wanderer's troupe, 60.9/240.5 crit and 46.6% cryo bonus. In order to get the dmg I told, I used Ganyu, Xiangling, Bennet and Shenhe, for having both bonuses.
Excited for Ganyu! Already prefarmed all her artifacts, triple crown talents, and materials. She even has both 4pc WT(57/206) and 4pc Blizzard(37/215) ready with her level 90 Amos bow. Good luck to all Ganyu wanters!

For ganyu users, INVEST in amos bow, i have almost the same wanderer stats as shown in this vid with also lvl 10 talents, i deal around 31k per charge atk and 60k melt with r1 amos
See I wasn't planning on pulling for ganyu and was saving for a shogun rerun but I ended up getting a skyward harp from banner and no i think I have to pull for her since I have no good unit that can use it lol.
This is my ganyu early on. Prototype is the best dps. But I had a hard time obtaining the billet for bows. Idk why but I was stuck at R1 for a long time. After finally getting R2 then I got Skyward Harp 😅. Still using hard whilst waiting for amos to drop soon.
Imo, If you can get 50%-60% crit rate that will be much better. but 40% is kinda enough too. Don't force yourself to farm specifically for wanderer's set Eventually a good piece will come to you Thanks for watching!!!
Tip: for melt wanderers, hamayumi is her best f2p bow especially at r5 and is almost as good as an r1 Amos bow This is based on experience of course since I finished abyss with r1&5 hamayumi bow and with the Amos bow while having my ganyu at c0, with xiangling Bennet and shielder, preferably zhongli

i've been debating if i should pull for ganyu or not. i'm at 62 pity with my next 5 star being guaranteed. I'm trying to decide between getting her or zhongli. i already have ayaka, but ganyu is one of my favorite characters in the game. i also have some pretty nice wanderer's troupe pieces ready for her and polar star (also have enough stuff to make r2 crescent). I also am definitely planning on getting Miko when she comes out, but i want to keep things as ftp as i possibly can
if you really like Ganyu and have everything prepared for her, go get her and never look back. My reason for pulling characters is not only because of their damage, when i love their design there is a huge chance i will pull for them. I am personally saving now for Yae Miko as well. Since you really like her that can be reason alone to get her. But if you already have a top tier attacker, then I'd recommend just getting zhongli because he'll be a massive addition to any team. Also, you can play freeze comp on Ganyu without zhongli but melt comp wouln't be much of an option without zhongli's shield.

Bro, My ganyu had kinda similar crit rate as yours back then and she worked fine too. The point of this game is not only about big numbers and having perfect builds, imo. For me the point of playing this game is to be happy and not to be stressed out because i cannot deal big dmg like other people do : ) Even with bad builds that i have for most of my characters, i can still clear the spiral abyss. i have hamayumi and since 1st day when i got ganyu i build her like ...many ways currenty i have achived max potential dmg as a ftp which is 18 plus 32 in charged shot R3 hamayumi 4p wonderes 53\197 with 2444 attack and as i told you she is my main so i have lot of artifacts lot of bows for her SED thing i dont have amos lol hahaha

for those worrying about crit rate for ganyu, she have a passive that increases her crit rate after releasing a charged attack, even if it miss, pair her with another cryo or use blizzard set, you just need a whole bunch of crit damage

It's not realistic at all. He showed melt in one and one with weakspots to proc crescent passive.
Melt works best with Kazuha since trying it with something like Xiangling is clunky as hell, and half the newer enemies don't have weak points anymore making crescent very weak in the current abyss and newer inazuma areas.
Trust me, you won't be doing this much damage on average even with a better build.

For those wanting to get ganyu, a freeze comp is more effective than a melt one. With a 4pc blizzard slayer you get a total bonus of 75% crit rate. Its also much easier to play.
Edit: Forced myself to invest into a melt comp and even tho its harder to play it's so much fun bursting enemies down with melt procs. You are all right
It’s not, melt is better but really hard to get. Farm blizzard until u get a good melt set.
freeze comp is easier cause of CC and a lot of the new enemy ai is super mobile and difficult to manage so it’s more consistent but less damage than melt. You can farm blizzard and throw all the bad pieces into wanderers strong box so you can farm for both sets at the same time

@@user-de6me5hc6c Uhm Ganyu does NOT need a buff. She has been one of the strongest characters for a long time and it hasn’t changed. Ayaka comes in as a close second. Dmg could be majorly improved with R5 crescent, but without it’s no where near mediocre. Mind you it’s just raw dmg with only melt (39k per charged?!) being the only reaction. With a full team she is insane.
Me personally I find her more useful in a freeze comps. Good luck to future Ganyu mains, I've been using her since her first release and she has been my favorite character since. Still have to get her Amos Bow on her rerun though and then I'll be complete.

she is pretty close to what i do with the amos bow, just 7k off on charged shot dmg, which is genuinely not bad considering weapon is still r1

@@harrisonparker6024 it's not that ZL makes the game 10x easier. It's just that he makes the game more comfortable to play. He also provides universal res shred which is significantly weaker than the VV buff but easier to pull off as you only have to press E. It's AOE can be a bit of a problem for some teams but it's not really a major issue. But, as you become more adept at dodging and become more familiar with game mechanics, you'd use ZL less and less. In fact, I have c4 Zhongli but I rarely use him in abyss simply because I can't find a spot for him in any of the teams I use lol
As for Ganyu, she's never left my team ever since I got her. She's stupidly strong.
Ultimately, the decision is yours. May the gacha gods be on your side.
Hamayumi increases her damage a bit more, if you can keep her energy full all the time (basically, when her burst is ready, DON'T use it). It's cause the passive of that bow boosts charged attacks by 20% normally, but when the character's energy is full, they're boosted by 100%.
If you don't have the Hamayumi blueprint, there is a guy in Tatarasuna that gives you it. He lives on the north side of the island in a shell hut. To get the bow, you gotta pay with conch shells (found in investigate spots near the area) to open a chest. You need to do this for seven days to get it, so start now if you haven't (you might be able to get it early though, but I've never seen it happen so idk). If you have the blueprint but no bow billet, check if you haven't already bought the one in the Liyue sigil shop. You also get one for free from the Sacred Sakura tree, though it's at level 44. If you still have that billet box from 1.5, then you can also use that. Hopefully you won't have to resort to grinding weekly bosses :p
With Bennet, 2k attack, 181% crit damage, and the reverse Melt reaction I was able to do 25k+75k in one hit, so that's about 100k damage in one hit. Average hit was around 18k+38k. It probably could've been higher if I used 4p Viridiscent Venerer's on my Jean, but I'm really adamant about my current build. This is all a f2p Ganyu, though with really lucky artifacts. Ganyu is a really good DPS, and probably won't be bad for a while, even if she's kinda been dethroned by Ayaka (only by a small margin though. Ayaka is only a bit better because she's extremely good with the freeze comp)

For melt Ganyu, I think Xiangling, Bennet, and Jean would be the best. If you don't have Jean, you can use Sucrose, or Diona if you want Cryo Resonance + shields and heals. Zhongli is also pretty good, but idk if many of you guys even have him.
Got extremely lucky and pulled two consecutive skyward harps in the weapon banner. One for Childe and the other will be Ganyu's when she finally comes home.

I use a similar artifact build (4-pc Wanderer’s Troupe), but with Hamayumi (the craftable Inazuma weapon). On Pyro-slimes, I get 25k direct Charged hit, 40k Frostflake 2nd hit.
crescent is better than hamayumi, the atk% increase on weak spots works much better than hamayumi's normal atk boost

I have a C0 with a level 11 charged shot and an R4 Hamayumi, 25% crit rate and 189% crit dmg, deals around 12k and 24k Crit *without* melt and I must say Hamayumi is a far better option since I can't be asked to hit weakspots all the time, also I only lost around 1k to 2k damage if I used my ult which is super easy to get so... yeah.
those are literally the stats i would get on my ganyu and with the same set, I do have amos tho but i was worried about the crit consistency on wanderers so thank you so much for the showcase!
As you can see it's low, thats why i use a good Blizzard set instead.. If you go for wanderers you need at least around 60% crit rate.. Blizzard ads a ton of dmg yo your burst wich is up all the time and nice to melt with so

40% c.rate with wanderers set is good enough if you are using a freeze team with cryo resonance. But, it is not enough for Melt Ganyu. Thats why building melt Ganyu with Amos bow is very hard. She needs so much investment.
If you are going for freeze though, I recommend using Blizzard strayer set instead. It is slightly better than the wanderer's set.

Smart move! I actually got shenhe for my ayaka and omg, my shenhe is only half built, and she already almost triples my ayakas dmg. My ayaka normally does 12k charged hits, but eith shenhe she does 27k. Its freaking insane. By thr time im done building shenhe, shes gonna be doing like 35 charged hits, maybe even over 40k if i throw in bennet too. Zhonglis nice, but if you have diona, id suggest getting shenhe. That isz if you are an ayaka main like me :)
yea zhongli is also a heavenly unit for mobile players. Well i got both ganyu zhongli somehow so its the best of both worlds xD

Amusing how we almost have the same base stats on Ganyu as a F2P player with Prototype Crescent as well - mine has 2108 ATK, 54.8% CR, 208.9% CD, 143 EM, 114.9% ER. So I can attest to the damage numbers on this, though my Crescent is R5 so the difference is more noticeable when its passive buff is activated.
Speaking of her craftable weapons, Prototype Crescent is actually slightly stronger than Hamayumi at the same refinement level when it comes to CA's, but only when you can proc its passive effect; this effect is the only reason Crescent R5 can even approach the power of Amos Bow R1. However, in more recent Spiral Abyss cycles, events, and even on later areas in the overworld, enemies without weakpoints are becoming more prevalent, such as the Rifthounds (despite their huge heads), Specters, and many bosses like the Perpetual Mechanical Array, Thunder Manifestation, and all Hypostases. While some enemies only show their weakpoints briefly during certain attacks such as the Inazuman Ruin Machines, which make them inconsistent to fight. Since the current Abyss 12 features a lot of the Rifthounds (which have also 25% res), Ganyu with Crescent feels a lot weaker against them and makes me wish I had Hamayumi (or Amos) instead.
That said, Crescent is still good, it just depends on the Abyss enemy line-up and if Mihoyo will continue to release enemies without weakpoints. Fortunately, the Rifthounds will be rotated out on the next Abyss cycle (except for Whelps) according to leaks and will be replaced with enemies with weakpoints, such as Primo Geovishap and Maguu Kenki (yet again).

if you really want her, build your diona or noelle as a shielder for her. Zhongli is no doubt a great support for Ganyu. Ask yourself if you really need ganyu or you just want her as part of your collection. Both characters are great, once you get one of them, just never regret it for not having the other one.

This is pretty good damage, seems to be better with my F2P Hu Tao which needs a better sands and cup, and could definitely do with a better feather.
Are you sure you built her right? My ganyu does 50k per charged, and thats using qn r2 dragons bane. Honestly, in temrs of realistic dmg, hu tao is a much stronger unit, and wayyyy easier to usez as ganyu requires aiming skills which is extremely hard to do if you are a mobile player.

Damn, if this is Ganyus raw damage and she's considered one of the best DPS characters in the game, then it makes me realize just how jacked up my C6 Yanfei actually is! My Yanfei is hitting around 10-15k from normal attacks and between 35-45k on charged attacks, plus the same again on activation of her skill (which allows another full power charged attack straight away). And that's raw damage too. No Bennett involved or elemental reactions.
Still going for Ganyu though lol

Off the top of my head, her talents are at 10, 12, 12 (normal/charged attack is crowned), about 2k attack, about 50% crit rate/120% crit damage, and a level 90 R1 Lost Prayer to Sacred Winds. She's running a full set of Crimson Witch arts, but they aren't all fully maxed yet. This was very helpful. I think those numbers are pretty impressive for F2P, but also not enough for me to pull for her. (Particularly since aiming for crits is substantially more difficult in places like abyss.)
That's true tbh, ganyu got power crept in the last 3 months in spiral abyss, I have an 80% rate and 223% Cdmg build with the skyward harp and she isn't able to beat current abyss with melt team, she fell down from my eyes because I invested in her so hard but the results are terrible

@@greathex1070 i don't know about that ,i have C1 Ganyu(R5 Hamayumi) ,i can 36 star abyss with just a duo team .Ganyu+Diona and Raiden+Jean on the other side .For a full team,it would be way too easy.

You can check my battle chronicle on hoyolab (haz1)with kazuha pic ,i cleared it with just ganyu-diona on 2nd half ,not really much trouble tbh .
Im hoping I can get Zhongli early and try to get her bow afterwards.
Used to love playing her but with Inazuma alot of monsters are like immune or really resistant to Ganyu whenever I used her so I just switched to Eula. Made it pretty annoying to run her, especially if it was a freeze comp because I couldn't do anything really except change my whole party.
I still use her in Abyss and its still pretty fun seeing her casually spit out like a 75k melt lmao

That's almost the highest you can get from R1 F2P weapon, 23k bloom damage. I have 2 Ganyu lv 10 normal attack, both have 1 year of passive farm Wonder set, one has 1k9 ATK - 50/220 crit, another gas 2k2 - 50/180 crit.
Hamayumi and Prototype Crescent have same performance, Prototype has better damage with her Q but not recommend if you play melt team, vice versa for freeze team. Amos win almost everytime with significant higher damage (~30% compare to R1 weapon), even point blank, and you don't have to worry about melt or freeze team.

everyone was shitting on me for getting Xiao ("oh he shit he so bad he not usefull bad damage") when there's Ganyu's banner after him, now i know that my Xiao being not fully build yet with 61/144 cr rt/cr dm does exact same damage each hit 20/30k in his ult solo (white tassel)

That's what happens when you have godly artifs :). Tbh, my flower and hourglass is good, but i cant say the same thing about the other 3. At talent lvl 8 (normal attack) and ar 47 (lvl 80 ganyu + lvl 80 hamayumi) i do about 13k blooms.

Now I just p r a y, as someone who can't work because of age, school and many other reasons income is hard and while i'm not f2p all I ever get is welkin and occasionly BP for the weapon, which is not as much primos as some may think, I'm AR55 with no quests, no hangout events or story quests to do which also limits me.
I have about 12 wishes in primos rn with 12 pity and a 50/50 to win after accidently getting Itto and Xiao while tryna get Gorou and Yunjin. (I've gotten my last 3 5 stars at 30-40 pity so I'm hoping that continues.) and seeing as my 50/50 luck is nonexistent im hoping Ganyu comes come at early pity and hopefully not a C3 Mona >:(

Wow 23k! I have been using Blackliff warbow till recently and 21k with no stacks was the usual. I got the Amos from the standard free wishes and even Shenhe and now she's on 36k bloom. Im using an R4 Hamayumi on my ganyu and its pretty nicee
That's a great showcase. I remember when I first pulled Ganyu and she became my Strongest DPS without even too much investment. It's been months since that and it stays the same. With Shenhe, pyro resonance, Bennet and a Skyward harp R1, she now does over 60k with the shot and over 100k of the explosion with melt. It's ridiculous how strong that comp is. But even with just a regular Ganyu I still do over 40k per arrow in total. The new abyss was pretty easy thanks to her and Shenhe. Anyways, thanks for a great showcase and hope everyone gets her.

@@stop.1003 Lvl 90 Ganyu, with Skyward Harp, also lvl 90. 2139 atk, with 4-piece wanderer's troupe, 60.9/240.5 crit and 46.6% cryo bonus. In order to get the dmg I told, I used Ganyu, Xiangling, Bennet and Shenhe, for having both bonuses.
Excited for Ganyu! Already prefarmed all her artifacts, triple crown talents, and materials. She even has both 4pc WT(57/206) and 4pc Blizzard(37/215) ready with her level 90 Amos bow. Good luck to all Ganyu wanters!

For ganyu users, INVEST in amos bow, i have almost the same wanderer stats as shown in this vid with also lvl 10 talents, i deal around 31k per charge atk and 60k melt with r1 amos

This is my ganyu early on. Prototype is the best dps. But I had a hard time obtaining the billet for bows. Idk why but I was stuck at R1 for a long time. After finally getting R2 then I got Skyward Harp 😅. Still using hard whilst waiting for amos to drop soon.

According to people here, Hamayumi is also great for Ganyu. It does more consistent damage compared to Prototype Crescent.

Imo, If you can get 50%-60% crit rate that will be much better.

for someone who has a very good ayaka, does it make sense to build ganyu freeze over melt? My freeze team already does everything I need it to with her so would adding ganyu actually do anything
I play without knowing how the specific team comp work for neither melt nor freeze.
I just constantly build my characters and use all of them because it is fun for me : )

i've been debating if i should pull for ganyu or not. i'm at 62 pity with my next 5 star being guaranteed. I'm trying to decide between getting her or zhongli. i already have ayaka, but ganyu is one of my favorite characters in the game. i also have some pretty nice wanderer's troupe pieces ready for her and polar star (also have enough stuff to make r2 crescent). I also am definitely planning on getting Miko when she comes out, but i want to keep things as ftp as i possibly can
if you really like Ganyu and have everything prepared for her, go get her and never look back. My reason for pulling characters is not only because of their damage, when i love their design there is a huge chance i will pull for them. I am personally saving now for Yae Miko as well.

Since you really like her that can be reason alone to get her. But if you already have a top tier attacker, then I'd recommend just getting zhongli because he'll be a massive addition to any team. Also, you can play freeze comp on Ganyu without zhongli but melt comp wouln't be much of an option without zhongli's shield.

Bro, My ganyu had kinda similar crit rate as yours back then and she worked fine too.
The point of this game is not only about big numbers and having perfect builds, imo.
For me the point of playing this game is to be happy and not to be stressed out because i cannot deal big dmg like other people do : )
Even with bad builds that i have for most of my characters, i can still clear the spiral abyss.
