      anthony22bob,
      Tell me, then, if Ronan is so caring, why does he ignore the child abuse charges that his older brother Moses has leveled against Mia Farrow? Why does he stand completely behind his sister's one incredible accusation against Woody Allen, and not behind the many instances of abuse that Moses Farrow has detailed believably and consistently? Is not Mia's brother - the convicted child molester - a far more likely cause of his sister's suffering?

    He may seem odd, but he was a child prodigy, and luckily, he hasn't gone the way of some others when they became adults. I think, thanks to such a stabilising influence from his mother, he's become a brilliant, highly intelligent adult who is happy in his individual skin - absolutely nothing wrong with that!!!

      Queen Mao Asada - I said that because somebody made a comment earlier that he was weird and they didn't like it. I was just trying to say that he may be 'odd' (certainly not weird) but a lot of people who are highly intelligent are different in their approach to life, and to my mind, there's nothing wrong with that. Julia Mimi He doesn't strike me as a show-pony... Truly a work-horse. Those folks tend to be behind-the-scenes doers... Hence Hillary Clinton never being able to "connect" with a crowd like Bill Clinton or Obama (who were incredibly hard workers but also had supreme people-pleasing skills). He's too humble and not self-promoting enough for politics... Secretary of State, perhaps.

    • @Comando729
      @Comando729 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is a mainstream publication but what I’m referring to as mainstream are the TV “journalists” who just sit in front of TelePrompTer for an hour or two and just read the news and for some reason we equate that to journalism versus someone like Mr. Farrow who is a true journalist who goes out and investigated for the truth, I guess my definition of what is mainstream journalism was incorrect

    • @MTMF.london
      @MTMF.london 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @IronKnight117. I don't know about today but a lot of old-school "TV journalists" have field experience as foreign correspondents in many parts of the world sometimes the most dangerous. The TV jobs were given as a reward later after years of field duty. TV is just another medium which also investigates and reports serious news and truth (Fox News excepted).

    Mia sure did something right. I was always impressed what a good Mom she was. We became "Greeting Friends". Every morning, as I walked down Central Park West to work, I passed Mia on her way back from dropping off her kids at the Ethical Culture School. So over time, it felt weird NOT to say Good Morning to each other. Most NY Moms have their Nanny's take the Kids to school if they're too young to take a City Bus, so this ritual she had with her children I always felt sweet. Years later, I did the same myself and those rides to & from School are some of my fondest memories with my Son.

    This is a book for my reading list. I hope it sells millions of copies. I, for one, have been paying attention "the making of our history" over these past thirty years. Finally someone has written it down. Hopefully the American people will realize how they "suddenly" find themselves struggling with all the detrimental realities of this "combativeness" in our society. ...we should stop calling it "war" and put a more accurate name to it: business... Once you call it by its name it becomes easier to recognize it for what it truly is. We, as a nation, are sending our best, our brightest, our bravest out to die so someone can make a buck. It's disgusting. Everything since WWII has been "business". Don't believe me? Go to Arlington Nat'l Cemetery. It's hard to overlook the obvious there.

    When the Nepal earthquake happened, and neighbouring countries and super powers were still making aid commitments, the US had rescue teams on site in 2 hours. I will never forget that. When people talk about US interference, I always bring this up. At your best, you really are wonderful. But that missile strike in Syria hit nothing and cost you more than your annual education budget.

      I’ve always been an advocate in my own country for largely repurposing our military into a defence force that primarily defends people at home and abroad from disasters of all kinds. If there’s an earthquake we should be there helping the effected community, same with a bomb or a cyclone, even a war or economic crisis. That’s a great way to build international relationships and diplomacy and to make the world more peaceful. Fighting wars should be secondary to preventing them and preventing a war, especially the insurrectionist ones, and the unofficial ones that have plagued recent times requires physical material support on the ground and that would defend our nation, it’s much harder to justify an attack on a humanitarian nation than it is on a imperialist war machine. Not only that though, but people deserve in times of need the best possible support from the world around them
