You aren't wrong; Christian groups have been trying to fearmonger for decades on a number of subjects, but it feels like they really got amplified after 9/11 and the rise of right wing media. Like, as 9/11 was still fresh in the minds of Americans, there were "Christians" in the media speculating on how the gays, pagans, and gypsies were the true cause of the attack and eventually how Katrina was God getting back at the growingly liberal U.S. Plus, "family group" leaders did often get good airspace from O'Reilly and co. Collusion is a crime: "18 U.S. Code § 953 - Private correspondence with foreign governments". Only question is does "without permission of the United States" get him off the hook because as President he 'is' the United States? I'm a lawyer but not an American one. I'm pretty sure someone over there can figure this out fairly quickly if it took me a 3 minute search to find this.
Allira I'm not a lawyer, but I would point out that he wasn't president when it happened. Even if he had been in office, the president is not above the law. Richard Nixon found out the hard way that "if the president does it, it's not illegal" was not firmly based in the reality of the US constitution.
Here's the law in full that I found by the way. Let me know if if I'm missing something: "Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply, himself or his agent, to any foreign government or the agents thereof for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects."
Allira I believe that law is talking about how individuals are not allowed to promote a US foreign policy of their own devising, especially when they aren't part of the government. But keep on trying, and good luck!
Reads to me like - If any US citizen speaks to any foreign government or representative with the intent to influence the conduct of any foreign government (i.e. asking Russians to hack emails on TV) in relation to any controversy with the US or to defeat the measures of the US (ie. an election or democracy), then that citizen is guilty of "18 U.S. Code § 953 - Private correspondence with foreign governments".

Nevertheless, Sally Yates raised that law to the White House Counsel's Office as one of the reasons Flynn was compromised.
You don't have to dive deep into 18 USC to find crimes. Trump knowingly receiving assistance from Russia implicates laws related to illegal campaign contributions, aiding and abetting, accessory after the fact, and criminal conspiracy (which is what collusion is).
So which one of us is going to tell Giuliani that claiming Trump was not at a meeting is not the same as, and in fact does the opposite of, claiming that that meeting never took place at all?
It's as if the strategy is to behave as stupidly as possible, until no one knows what to believe anymore.
