Please make a video on K value of turbocharger, as well as other components of turbocharger like Shroud ring, labyrinth seals etc. That would be a huge help.
Auxiliary blowers are needed when the engine starts, i.e. turbocharger speed is very low and they cannot supply fresh air during the initial period. However, with VTA, it can supply pressurised air at low speed by changing angle hence additional auxiliary blowers are not needed.
I have a question for you Bro.... I have twice EMD turbochargers 16-645 E7B & one Turbocharger 20-645 E3. One customer have several problems in his 3 EMD Engines 12 cilinders Turbocharged. Bro....based in your experiences, Can I supply and mount my Turbochargers on these Vessel? Could there be any inconveniences in the oil and fuel consumption of those engines? Thanks for your answer...Best Regards from Paraguay!!!!!!
You need to refer to the Bed Test of the engine. Also, makers are the best person to contact and ask if the turbocharger is a good match for the engine.
Does the compression air pressure remains same through out the all rpm range of an marine 2 stroke engine can you please explain how the air flow to the combustion chamber is controlled when rpm is increased or decrease
Compression pressure totally depend upon compression ratio of the engine. The air flow will depend on the supply from the turbocharger, which in-turn will depend on the exhaust produced by the engine.
Why aux blower is not required if vgt is there??? Even during starting we need scavenge air supply so blower must be there but on further load it’s use may not be required because of vgt. Please someone clarify my statement
The use of auxiliary blower comes in to play when the engine is at low load or we can say during the starting of the engine the pressure gained in the cylinder at the starting of the engine is not enough to provide a efficient combustion bcoz the scavenge pressure is low.....so after a particular period of time suppose half an hour aftr the engine starts the scavenging pressure comes to a point where auxiliary blowers cuts off his role automatically...when the scavenging pressure is achieved to its mark. I hope u got it
@@jagdish99_sw from what i understood from the video is that in VGT the nozzle angle in the T/C can be changed as needed. SO, whereas in normal T/C the fixed nozzles requires high load to rotate the turbine, during starting the load achieved is just not high enough hence aux blower is provided. BUT in the case of VGT the nozzle can be adjusted so as to provide high roatation energy in turbine with low load ( this is possible due to changing angle of nozzle ) . So the aux blower in the case of VGT is not required as low load can also produce rotation in T/C. I hope this helps. Someone correct me if I am wrong @marineinsight
The compressor outlet is at high temperature which cannot be used directly for the scavenge space. Hence, it is first passed through air cooler to cool the air down to ~40°c
@@marineinsight As the air is taken from the engine room through compressor side and given to engine, how does the temperature of the the air leaving the compressor side increases ? As there is no real compression and air is sucked by the means of blades rotating at high rpm.
@@NN92455 as the air passes into volute cashing, the pressure gets increased thereby increasing the temperature as well, as the air exits the turbine through the diffuser.
this is honestly fascinating as a car enthusiast. It’s just my hobby but.. much bigger 😂

Thank you for your comment. Please do share the video and support.
Bless these indian teachers, can't understand what my school teacher is talking about and i paid for it lol

Very informative
Glad you liked it
Forget the LS swap Imma put this engine in my car
🫣😲
Thanks, it is very useful and I got a good understanding about it
I really appreciate the way you are sharing your experience .I would like to say thank you. Please would you make a video on air conditioning plant?
Thank you for the comment. Sure we will share it soon
1:00 you mixed the turbine and the impeller ("blower") sides.

Good morning, how to keep running of main diesel engine under the condition of reducing the number of turbocharger.🙏
Hi do u have any video for turning gear overhauling of MAN 9L21/31
Why turbocharger inlet temperature is more than exhaust temperature?
Some exhaust gas heat and pressure energy is transferred to mechanical rotating energy, thus pressure reduce along with temperature
I'm going to put one of those on my civic
Thank you🙏
You’re welcome 😊
Marine engine turbocharger fire crackers sound coming what is the reason?. My engine 9 cylinder head. One engine is 3000 horsepower
turbocharger k value any type of vidieo are there
what will be the disadvantage of hybrid turbocharger?
Complex in design and expensive
Why vta turbocharger don’t have auxiliary blower ?

Thank you too!
Big thanks
Glad it was helpful!
So informative, thankyou, can you discuss on your next video the steps and purpose of the synchronization of the generators, it will be a big help 🙏
Great suggestion!
@@marineinsight thankyou as well, I will embark my second vessel soon! More knowledge to learn from your channel keep it up! 🤲

What is RPM of turbocharger?
May vary. Can go 30.000 and more
