I am totally relating to keep saying the words: I am excited! When talking about books, I have bought. I always do a book haul to my parents, dancing into the living room with books in my arms. Telling them all about the books I have bought, and how excited I am to read them. And they will just give each other this look and I am sure they find me freaking weird sometimes xD

The Boba Frog is adorable! My most recent read was Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé (which I really enjoyed!) I am currently rereading Animal Farm by George Orwell. I love Lore Olympus! The artwork and storytelling is fantastic. My favorite character in that series is Hera. I saw Hadestown last year when it came to my hometown and absolutely loved it.

To lighten the mood I'm now reading a summer romance from Brandon Witt called Mapping the forest. Not a 5 star type of read but a good break so far from all the Dystopian/Utopian imagery from Huxley.

I just finished Lone Women, by Victor LaValle which is a historical horror novel. It starts with the main character setting fire to her home and her parents dead bodies and setting out on a journey with a mysterious trunk. I liked it, but I think it felt rushed in a few places and there was one odd thing that happens early on, that I don't remember ever being explained, though there's no reason it shouldn't have been. Right now, I'm reading book six of The Expanse.

The word your looking for is sketchy! Or potentially spontaneous! It is an actual legitimate art/graphic novel style so you should be able to find quite a few GNs in that style if you end up liking it.
