Overnighted there a couple of times...seaweed up to the wheels too 😂 I thought they were stopping overnighting there ? Does look awful in summer with wall to wall campers 🙈 but no harm in winter - lovely location and the pub behind you is fab ..a real gem of a pub and not what you expect from the outside..can't say the name as don't want to give your location away 😂 great vlog as always. X
looks better without the decals and looking forward to the upgrades. We have had several vans over the years and our current one is a Citroen Relay LWB Wildax Solaris with bunk beds! We love it and full time live in it. Thanks Dave
Just a quick question. I never understood the purpose of the snorkels. Shouldn't the engine compartment be water proofed to have a snorkel? This is how you keep the engine and the electrics sealed and yet it will get the air through the snorkel. Am I missing something?
To stop water getting into the engine when doing water crossings. Also, when in dusty roads etc, keep the air getting into the engine dust free. There is a seal to the engine, so only what comes through the snorkel gets in.
@jamies_adventures so it will be completely sealed, not just the snorkel mounted. That makes perfect sense now. Btw, I didn't even think about dust protection. Somehow my thoughts were only around water protection. Thanks for the reply. 👍
Snorkel moves the motor air intake higher but doesn't seal anything else in the engine compartment. On these Sprinters it's pretty useless as the air intake is already pretty high, and just moving it higher won't make the van wading proof (you'd need to install a proper wading kit to move things like the gear box ventilation higher) and then also seal the electronics. On top of that, you'd be hard pressed to find deep enough rivers/streams to wade in Europe where you'd actually need a snorkel. On the engine dust part, it's only relevant in deserty, super dusty places where you'd be constantly driving directly behind another vehicle kicking up dust. Like, say a rally. And then you would need a filtered snorkel head or cyclone. As most people won't be partaking Safari Rally with their vans, it's cheaper to just change air filters every now and then. Basically, they're mainly (only?) for looks. And they make the already bad fuel economy slightly worse. @jamies_adventures
Just dropped on your channel mate. Van looks the dogs. How do you move with all the jackets on 😂. Just curious, did you get any condensation on the windows.?
@jonnyteeee possibly. Although every Hymer Grand Canyon S Crossover has the same X. So by taking it off it makes it more individual. So I can customise it to my own (plus to make it blend in, in the dark)
☕ Like the video? Why not buy me a coffee to say thanks? All proceeds will go towards future videos!

Beautiful van looks much better minus green stickers👍🏻
Thanks :-)
Looking good with the stickers removed! And I like you left the other stickers as it still has some branding.
Yeah, much better huh! :-)
You taken the decals off! And it still looks so good 🤩
Yep & yep! Thanks for your comment :-)

Thanks! All vans are cool I think! See you on the road :-)
Love the decal delete 👍
Yeah much better :-)
Lovely park up there when you can get in. Very busy
Yeah, especially in summer!

Thanks! Bit of condensation, but nothing out of the normal (and only on the front glass)
@jamies_adventures I've seen a few with external covers on so I'm guessing that's why. Obviously not too cold at the mo 😂
Btw I know lol 🤫😉

@@jamies_adventures the X was something that made it unusual and as your channel grew more people would of recognised you. 🤷🏽♂️
