It's says a lot to what really makes people happy, when ANY other noise except for rain and other natural sounds keeps us awake, but even the loudest rain will gently put you to sleep.
There is nothing that can match nature and the sound of rain hitting the trees and cliffs above you under your outcrop. Sitting in a savannah eating fruits and wild boar with your family, eating figs and wheat honey snacks all natural. Nothing beats natural living.

This gives me the vibe that he lives in a busy city and even though you can still hear the loud speakers in the distance, it must be soooooooo peaceful to go out and get away from everyone and everything
Reminds me of a camping trip on Martha's Vineyard i took back in the 70's. We didnt know that the campground actually required a tent to stay so we threw up our clear plastic tarp and became known as the GIRLS WITH THE INVISIBLE TENT. What a hoot it was coming back from the bars to crash out drunk for all to see with their morning coffee.
I thoroughly enjoy watching videos of things i would never do. Camping in the wilderness, hiking, rock climbing, sky diving, ect. Hope this guy brings protection out there.
I think it's legit question for those that has never done before. you should try it. not for everyone due to you have to prep and spend some money. some they only did couple times in their life but not really enjoy it. for your question about safety, it depends on where you go. public camp ground is pretty safe, it's safer then you drive on the road or freeway to your camp site lol. but yes if you decided to go on a wild, then you better be an expert or carry protections. Hope that help.
I just love the true camper/hikers that can blithely walk thru mile after mile of poison oak like it was nothing, and come out at the end of it all in fine shape. It's a gift! 😃
The first time I ever did a camp I made it right smack in the middle of a poison ivy patch, the reaction was so strong my face swelled and was near round as a basket ball

Just when I'd thought I'd seen it all...the plastic wrap was awesome! It looked like a giant, cozy spider web...but Yerri, you have FAAAR more patience than I do. About the 15th time around that tree I'd have set it on fire and gotten a tent...LOL. Food looked good. I love noodles...you can add anything to them and they're good. I need oyster sauce and rice vinegar with mine no matter what the other ingredients. The eggs went well with it...the mystery meat..kinda poopy looking. I imagine it's like our Spam....which I love...but it's not squishy like that. Great vid! Thanks for sharing with us!
This made me laugh. Creative. I try to use as little plastic wrap as possible so I wouldn’t be doing this but fun to see one person successfully make a plastic wrap one night shelter. Hopefully not something anyone else feels they should replicate however.

Any idea how long it will last? You can't move it, but if you frequent the same spot(s), you could reuse it, depending on how long it would remain sturdy.
you really thought he would even care about its durability. He intentionally did it for the sake of how impractical it is. regardless of how long it last, the same structure could have been erected using pulleys, anchors, ropes and tarp. All perfectly cleanable and reusable. This is permanent not in usage, BUT WASTE. Permanent waste plastic infected with molds, plants, bacteria and dirt. Unrecyclable in many such cases.

All that comes to mind with me here is practicality in the event all society goes to complete chaos and you raid some of this wrap from whatever is left over in the rummaging. In a pinch though, I suppose this would come in handy if such an event were to arise. I mean, sure, you would head for the local outdoors ruins but you know for sure those places would be swarmed first.
For me I find that laying in the middle of a trampoline is the most comfortable and relaxing... Better than any bed... I am thinking this would be the same feeling.
This is crazy (in a good way)…. Who would’ve thought that plastic wrap could be used for that? In a “what if” scenario, it can be used for that. For example, if stranded in the forest. The first thing to do is put a shelter up the tree. And if stranded for a month or years… this could actually be useful (not just for camping). Yes it will be wasteful for a one night camp, but it’s a “what if”. At least, if I have a lot of plastic wrap, I might just think “oh yeah…” I believe you have a good heart and recycle all throughout your life AND I’m sure you disposed of the plastic responsibly. So thank you for making this content, I hope you are doing well despite people scolding you.

Don't care about the holier than thou "plastic will kill the Earth!". They folks are probably buying camping stuff that all in all was made with more oil barils. 😆🤫 I find this set up awesome & it's all ♻️ anyway. Lazy me would probably simplify with PVC tubes for the structural chassis & plastic wrap only for the surfaces. Thanks for sharing. 💙

Any idea how long it will last? You can't move it, but if you frequent the same spot(s), you could reuse it, depending on how long it would remain sturdy.
you really thought he would even care about its durability. He intentionally did it for the sake of how impractical it is. regardless of how long it last, the same structure could have been erected using pulleys, anchors, ropes and tarp. All perfectly cleanable and reusable. This is permanent not in usage, BUT WASTE. Permanent waste plastic infected with molds, plants, bacteria and dirt. Unrecyclable in many such cases.
if you slant the roof it will last a long time you just have to clean it out. when you return that is

All that comes to mind with me here is practicality in the event all society goes to complete chaos and you raid some of this wrap from whatever is left over in the rummaging. In a pinch though, I suppose this would come in handy if such an event were to arise. I mean, sure, you would head for the local outdoors ruins but you know for sure those places would be swarmed first.
Interesting, never came to my mind to have this material in my survival backpack.

In a “what if” scenario, it can be used for that. For example, if stranded in the forest.
The first thing to do is put a shelter up the tree. And if stranded for a month or years… this could actually be useful (not just for camping).
Yes it will be wasteful for a one night camp, but it’s a “what if”. At least, if I have a lot of plastic wrap, I might just think “oh yeah…”
