All of these manufacturers hopping onboard the GTP class is something we've all dreames at some point. Its like in racing games where we have the sports/hypercars racing each other, except this is in an official motorsport division.
I don't want to create false hype, but there were rumors about McLaren and Mercedes-AMG also wanting to join in sometime soon, but no official confirmation.

I heard about the Mclaren too, but I don't think Merc-AMG will, Bentley for sure it will also join IMSA GTP

Risi wants to be a 499p customer, but they lack funds and technical know how to run a prototype car. Also Ferrari themselves doesn't have any plans to run a 499p stateside anytime soon

I am so exited for this car running in IMSA and the WEC series. Sounds so good hope it will achieve some good wins.
The regulations for sportscars/prototypes really hit a sweetspot to gain these many manufacturers interested in racing again!
The Valkyrie is by far the coolest GTP yet. Love the Acura ARX-06 too but it doesn't have a V12 lol

Every road race car is restricted these days.
Well, if AM hadn't pulled out of hypercar before they maybe could've had more say in how much power these cars should have. iirc they did think about making it 700 kW but edned up at 500 kW to make it more accessible.

They should allow 1000hp as standard for this class
The lower power requirement is specifically to cut costs from the past, like the LMP1 program, to encourage more manufacturers, and it's working.
These are endurance racers at the end of the day. 1,000hp just isn't practical for long races
Cool car but goal of Valkyrie was to annihilate F1 records by creating free of regualtions car. But this is another racecar. Even with best technologies. Irony in that GTP could be fastest version. So usual Valkyrie would be in pace of GT3 ugly car. I just want to be AMR faster than any of racecar. I do not mean F1 but Le Mans or GTP
